[Q] Upgrade to Android 4.3 on a Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Apologies if this has been asked before, but could only find a thread relating to an AT&T version.
I am looking to see whether its possible to upgrade my S2 running 4.1.2 to 4.3.
My specs from the phone are:
Baseband Version I9200XXLS6
Kernel Version 3.0.31-462349 [email protected] hash 3 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 6 02:42.23 KST 2012
Build Number JZO54K.I9100XXLSJ
I understand this is a Philz Kernel?? Will this need changing or upgrading to allow 4.3
Grateful for any advice on a straightforward, easy and stable change if this is possible
Many thanks from a Noob

Hi
I'm a pretty much noob but have rooted my S2 and now my S3 and so am not a total noob.
I wanted to post this question in the Hacking section but it says no Noobs - so, just wanted to try get an answer here before i post in the Hac king section.
Anyway, i want to update my kernel but i've searched and can't seem to find out if a kernel is specific to a phone version. I am in Ireland and my details are
Model : GT-I9300
Android 4.1.1
Baseband ver I9300NEDLI1
Kernel ver
3.0.31-288630
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT Mon Oct 8 12:58:21 KST
2012
Build Number
JR003C.I9300XXDLJ1
I wanted to try Siyah Kernel and wanted to flash it via MobileOdin, which i have.
Can anyone tell me if the kernel will work on any version of the s3 ?
TIA
Rob

Help with rom for 10.1

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7500 on which the letter codes don't conform with what I would expect for New Zealand, from what I have been work out they are for Croatia but that doesn't help me one Iota as I am trying to figure out what I would need to do to update the rom and O.S to the latest available stable and preferably although not essential "legal" version.
If however I would be required to go to a non "legal" version in order to bring it up to a level similar to my Samsung Galaxy S5 then so be it.
Tablet details as follows.
Model
GT-P7500
Android Version 3.2
Baseband version
P7500BUKK4
Kernel Version
2.6.36.3

Build number

Is 3G important to you? Otherwise you could turn it into a WiFi tab and flash whatever you want.
