Hosin V60 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi friends my family bought a smartphone in China and I came across some problems revealing a bad deal. The first is that the phone only has two languages (Chinese and English with Chinese) and i'm portuguese is the second that is a dual SIM is only running one (SIM 2) since SIM1 when you receive a call and answer, thee phone reboot. Another problem has to do with the 3G network does not get why you can not get internet through the network.
My question is whether there will be possibility of "flashing" the phone to take the Portuguese language as an option even if you stay with a version of Android older.
Curiosities phone. The Android store is Chinese and besides having much required no user to install applications, the problem is that half of the store is in Chinese and does not understand "****".

Galaxy Note (korean version ) SHV-E160L

Guys I'm new to this website a friend of mine referred me to this particular site hoping someone can help me with my problem, a korean student of mine gave me a white galaxy note with the model of SHV-E160L, its seems im having problems with the messaging, is there something I can do to convert this phone to a universal model perhaps so that i dont have problems sending sms anymore because everytime there will be an error saying ( invalid sender ). please help me. thanks
Note E160L
Yeah... Same problem here. SMS don't work. And all the chinese ROM alternatives solve the problem but they aren't very good cause there are some functions missing. So that would be perfect, if we could change the hardware ID to an international model. I had a SE x10 and I remember it was possible (i changed it back then). So, anyone knows if that's possible in the Note so we could install a European or American ROM?
Thanks
whats the missing functionality of the chinese rom? how did u managed to send sms?
SGN
Dont put custom roms on your Korean phones unless it has been approved and tested to work. I say this because I lived in Korea 5 years there SMS system is diffrent from the rest of the world. There is very heavy coding that has to go into getting the SMS to work once flash. I am just a user i dont program I just learned this stuff over the years. I also have the LG U+ SGN and I just game from Korea off a 2 week vacation my phone worked just fine over there. As a matter of fact I am on my second SGN phone bother are Unlocked and work no matter where I travel. If anything I would just wait for the update to ICS and dont put any ROMS on the phone
Same Problem
Hi! I have a similar problem. I am living in China and bought a Korean model, SHV-E160L. My service provider is China Unicom (with 3G coverage). I was happy to get my phone - but bummed to find out that I can't text my friends.
"Invalid Sender" always pops up.
The usual reply is to change the number in your message center. However, when I or the Chinese Unicom representative tried to find it, there was no sign of the message center anywhere. According to some resources on the internet, pushing *#*#4636#*#* should pull up some backup menu in order to find it. It doesn't.
Should I be getting different coverage? Is it a problem with my APN? Should I get a ROM?
UPDATE:
Thanks to "uraz" here, I discovered how to access the SMSC.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 AT&T version Unlocked cannot use in Europe

Hello guys,
this is the first time i write something here and it's because i really really need some help. Recently i got back to Romania (Europe) from USA and i decided to buy mom a Samsung SGH-i727 from the States to make her surprise. I am very sad because she loves the phone but you cannot actually use the SIM card. I've been in Hungary few days before with the phone i could use there, but in Romania no. You guys think it;s purely because the frequency ? As i studied the frequency problem it seems that it should'n be any because they are compatibile.
Please guys help me with this one!
Could you provide some more information.
You were saying it was working in Hungry but not in Romania.
So you could make and receive calls, and use it internet?
What happens when you put the Romanian SIM in? Does it show any reception or just emergency calls?
Do you have any connection? For example can you only make calls but no internet?
First things I would test are.
What happens with a different SIM pull one out of a friends phone and test it.
Because it could be the SIM card, sometimes older SIM cards dont work in newer phones. Most Telcos will do a SIM swap at no charge.
Or it could be you need to set up the network configuration.
Usually the phone will pull the settings down off the network but if your in a different locale you may have to manually do it.

[Q] German phone in England?

I'm in England. If I were to purchase an Android device in Germany, change the UI language to English, and bring it back to the UK. Would I be able to use it here (on UK 3 network) without problems, or might there be issues with updates later on? Any thoughts/tips would be much appreciated, thanks.

Data Connection Partially Lost on Unlocked Sprint M9 after Official Nougat Update

Hi all, sim unlocked s-off sprint m9 used to work well on android 6 with official rom. But until the phone was upgraded to Android 7. Data connection stopped working for one operator (NOS in Portugal). However Vodafone works well.
Tried different roms and apn settings, same at all. Data connection does not work on NOS operator.
Does anyone have similar issue and of course any advices?
Thank you all.

Why sim unlock a Sprint variant and not an AT&T or T-Mobile which already support GSM?
did you find a solution?
i have exact same issue.
bought one m9 from ebay with sprint (651) firmware on.
lte was working fine in israel (1800 2100).
after nougat im only getting 3g.
it makes sense that i cant use those bands (1 and 3 i think) on a sprint device.. but it did work with marshmallow
Same problem in the USA
I have (nearly) the same problem in the United States with a Sprint CDMA version of the One M9. The main difference is that my data speed is even worse than 3G, around 10-20 Kbps. Occasionally, I get faster speeds, but I haven't been able to figure out if it is location-specific (but always away from home and work) or due to some other characteristic.
The phone came brand new in a retail box from an eBay seller. It worked as expected for 1.7 years. The OTA update which installed Android 7 (aka Nougat) in early 2017 resulted in the very slow data speeds. WiFi is unaffected, but data is so slow that I cannot reliably send or receive MMS; Google Maps says that I do not even have a data connection for traffic info.
EcoMobile (my MVNO provider; I still have a sprint email address, so I know who is actually providing service) could only suggest resetting my phone; did this twice with no change in operation (but several of the programs which automatically re-installed themselves operated differently, including GMail no longer providing auto-complete for addresses).
After literally 2 hours in chat with htc, they told me that my MEID indicates my phone was "made in Taiwan". I took this to mean that: 1) the person I was chatting with had poor English skills (because aren't they all made in Taiwan?), and 2) my phone is gray market (meaning it was not imported into the country via official channels, even though the manual was in the American version of English).
I came to XDA looking for an answer, too. I was mildly surprised to see that this topic was at the top of the list for the One M9.
The best solution for my situation would be the proper ROM for my phone, but I don't know how to figure that out from the MEID. htc USA says they cannot help me with this.
I could even go back to Android 6, but I do rather like the new features in Nougat.
Alternatively, I could root the phone and install a 3rd party ROM, but I still need to know how to choose the proper one for my phone.
I hope this info finds its way to a helpful expert.
Regards,
Jeff

Help? Why is the operator list shown without modes (2g / 3g / 4g)?

Hi dear community,
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G and wanted to check out, where I can see the different modes and if 5G networks are available.
Well, in fact that I'm a geek with frequencies and stuff, I was happily surprised, that actual phones show the operators and the mode. In Germany I've got 3 Operators (T-Mobile, Vodafone and o2) and we can see them each 3 times (e.g. o2 2G / o2 3G / o2 4G and so on) on actual phones. But with the new Galaxy Note 20 5G I can't I can only see the 3 without the modes.
Is it possible (perhaps with root, what I already wanted to perform) to change some settings in the build.prop or somewhere else, to activate that? Or do 5G phones don't have this feature anymore? The Device had Android 10 and I upgraded to 11. Still nothing. It was delivered with spanish Vodafone software (I still don't get it why) and even the update with the neutral software from Germany, didn't changed anything. Even the spanish Vodafone software and the welcome screen in spanish after resetting the phone didn't disappeared. I don't want to send this phone back, Can anyone help me please?
Please excuse my grammatical issues.
with googel controls now in effect slot of stuff that was once accomplished previously are now not. so I would likely is reason for no response, even though I am rooted on tmoble with 20 ultra (thanks dev team!) . I will be going back to using the 10+ because of this kinda stuff until scoped storage is hacked by a talented person.
as for your question, I am not sure exactly what your thoughts are, although I can only say that for tmoble pretty much always been it's a since 4g came out a scam to show only 4g,lte/hsp+ or whatever it is when the service is actually ¹g or 2g at best, here is a screenshot of the scam taken by myself showing 5G (LOL) when it in REALITY is so weak, my old KitKat s3 was faster. this kinda stuff happens all day long. t-mobiles ultra fast 5g network is actually a lie and is just enough speed it make browsing data work and designed to get to logged in to your wifi asap. because even with 10mbs download you actually have none when your upload is. 0.27 and according to their 'network specialists " I called that's within minimum the 5g range
