Hello there. Since I'm new here I'd like to say hello to everyone
Today I got my RAZR and wanted to play with it. It was already rooted and it had a 4.1.2 android for it, but I didn't liked it at all so I tried to install MIUI. After creating a new partition (1) i had installed miui, but after reboot phone died - Motorola logo appears and it reboots. I looked for some info in the internet and I found about installing new, clean rom via fastboot. I downloaded SPDREM_U_01.6.7.2-180_SPU-19-TA-11.6_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRICSRTCEE_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot archive and tried to install it with Eternity Project, but after rebooting system does not start and android with red triangle appears.
Right now I am stuck and I don't know what to do. Could you guys tell me what should I do? The phone is RAZR XT910 from European distribution. Also, my Phone is being recognized as Spyder S.
Thank's in advance

When you see android with red triangle just press vol- and vol+ and find the option factory reset.
From your post I see that you flashed ICS Fastboot file, right?
Were you on ICS or JB before brick?

Well, as far as I remember it was JellyBean. I tried to flash it, but it didn't work at all. When I tried to flash the newest available soft for my RAZR it didn't want to flash (it was stopping at 1st step - when using RSD Lite, but when I used EPRJ flashing method, after reboot phone couldn't find any files copied to it's cache or something). Right now my battery is too low and I guess the only option is to make a factory cable, because it won't even charge.
And factory reset doesn't change anything: still the Motorola logo appears and then the phone turns off and sometimes reboots.
Is there any way I could install system via install update from sd card option? Or the only thing I can do is to try to install clean Android via RSD or EPRJ?

Okay. I downloaded the british retail soft, we'll see if it works. But will this soft have Polish language?
And the second thing: is there any way to charge the phone when in my situation? When I plug in the charger, white led only flashes for a while and then the bootloop starts - motorola logo appears and that is all. I have also tried the method with pressing vol + and - for 10 seconds and again, but this didn't work either. The only exit here is to make factory cable, right?

Right, with factory cable you can't charge the phone but you can flash fastboot file, that's what it's for.

It worked, thank God. Thanks for the advice, next time I'll be more careful with my RAZR
Greets!
But another problem suddenly appears - my battery won't charge over 40%. Tried turning it off, but it didn't work.
Edit: I have had 50%, now I have 60. It looks like it's going up and changes after 10%. We'll see if it manage to charge up 100% battery.
Edit2: Okay, it fully charged. Thank's again mate for tips

Well I got myself into it this time. I have a Rogers Canada XT910 razr. I installed the Arctic rom and lost all my data connection, and all my apps and could not reload them from google play because it says they are already installed. So I did a wipe and reset and decided to try to use RSD to reflash the ics leak. The flash failed, and my phone is bricked. What's guy to do.
Thanks
John

That's the leak you need I guess.
There's just one Problem. You need an patched Boot. Img and the system signed of the necessary GB Rom.
I've not searched this Thread for an boot. Img. Maybe someone posted one.
I'm not sure, if you can flash the European Fastboot Files, to get an working RazR, till there's an solution for you.
Gesendet von meinem XT910 mit Tapatalk 2
Thanks man. I had already side loaded the leak that you had linked to so I was on ics before I tried the arctic. I will try tonight to install the European version. I'll let you know how it goes.
Well I am at my wits end.
I eventually got my phone to reboot back into the Arctic rom I loaded, but can't figure out how to update this rom or load another. I have tried with RSD to flash a different flashboot files, but they all fail. I have down loaded a few different custom roms and loaded them on my sd card and tried updating my phone from external storage through the Android system recovery utility but action is always aborted. I can't load any apps like rom manager, file manager, or anything for that matter. When I go to the play store and look at my apps it says i already have them all installed and can't load any. What can I do?
Well I can't seem to leave well enough well enough. tried a few more things and now the phone won't boot. It gets to the Motorola logo and turns off. So can I can get to fastboot and recovery or off. Brutally expensive paper weight.
Can help

I bricked my Rogers RAZR too and was able to fix it. It's a matter of finding the correct signed img and flashing it using the fastboot (when starting phone press power and hold volume up if I remember correctly). Will check what the name of the image is and get back to you. I flashed three or so different images before it would finally boot, then I was able to re-root it, install CWM and get back on my feet.:good:
The rom I loaded is European from here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1760702
I have been bricked before and fixed the issue, but after loading this custom rom the flash I used the first time with RSD does not work. I appreciate any help and I am willing to try what ever. I did not impress my wife with this one.
flash this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1634223.html
then reboot....it will work
Thanks I will try it after I get home from work today.
[TUTORIAL]
1. Download the empty_radio.img
2. Turn off the Razr
3. Power On the Razr and select Fastboot Mode AP
4. Open the command prompt CMD
5. Go to the folder where the radio is empty
6. Make flash the radio with the following command and then type "fastboot reboot"
7. Rest assured I tested on my Razr this command does not erase the radio
8. This command will only restart the fastboot
9. Now then turn off the Razr holding vol - and power
10. Plug the Razr holding vol + vol - and power and have it start normally
11. Now restart the fastboot screen will not show more ...
This stuff is over my head. I don't know how to do steps 4,5,6. I don't know what to do in command prompt, I can't find the folder where the radio is empty, and I don't know how to flash the radio. I am totally lost.
Does any body have any other Ideas?
Have you tried fastboot with rsd lite?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium
Yes I have tried flashing several different XML files from different ROM's With RSD lite 5.7. The flash always fails. In RSD it says that my phone is connected, but it does not show my IMEI it just has N/A in that box. When I hook up my wife's phone which is totally stock it does show her IMEI. Could this be part of the problem?
So, i tried to install JB in my droid razr xt910, did all the tutorial all went fine, but in the final step, i booted the phone via BP tools, he showed the motorola logo and them puf, the screen was black and the red light was on, tried to connect to the pc, but the pc don't recognize it, can i remove the battery somehow to do a factory reset?
No, you can't remove the battery... However, you can follow the steps in the post to go back to ICS (Flashing CID again & flashing ICS kernel).....
Flash using RSD Lite your region original ics fastboot files.
Root it
Install Safestrap or BMM
And then do the whole CID wiping part again.....
The problem must be it is trying to boot the ICS rom you had in the JB kernel... And if you have no recovery installed, you can't flash anything....
PS: This should be in the Q&A section

The led color,is it white?
If it is,then you must make or buy the factory cable and flash your stock rom with RSD Lite.

yes,its white
now i have managed somehow to turn it on
but the problem is that stock ROM in safestrap is always Disabled ,i cant use it ?
so i can use it only with factory cable? whats so special in it ?
do i have to use only original stock rom ? shouldnt safestrap to bypass it ?

If you can turn it on then your battery is ok,just flash your stock rom with RSD Lite, root it,install Safestrap and happy flashing.
The factory cable allows you to flash the fastboot (stock rom) files when your battery is too low.
Did you try to get in to fastboot mode?
Pressing vol- vol+ and power button at the same time?
Look what's written for the battery,Battery OK-good,Battery Low-you need the factory cable.

first. installing safestrap and boot menu manager at same time is not recommended.
second. if I understood you, you flashed cm11 over stock ROM. but you provide no info about how you did it.My guess is you didn't wipe all recommend partitions.
that leads me to third, your battery stats probably were messed up. next time you charge it try to wipe your battery stats, there is apps in play store that will do it for you. some people say it doesn't does a difference, certainly your battery will not magically improve, but it does corrects weird behaviors.
If it doesn't works, try using RSD as welder73 told you. troubleshooting is easier in a clean and working system. what I am proposing is worthy to try if you have data that you cannot loose.
note: don't know how factory cable works, but I hope you are using it instead of directly connecting cable to the battery. cause charge might not be controlled if you charge directly to battery terminals... if you let it charge too much time it can damage battery.
xt910 can be a RAZR MAXX but not a MAXX HD which is a totally different phone.

ok. when you get into fastboot and try to RSD and get a Low Battery warning, the is no other way left... charge battery. or get a factory cable, there is a thread explaining how to build one.
first question. you have to choose one of them. for newbies, safestrap cause all new ROMs are prepared to work with that program. if later, u decide to test bout menu manager, you will have to uninstall safestrap ( of course you will not be able to use any ROM installed with safestrap). since boot menu manager is no longer supported, you will need to mod ROM zip file prior to flashing that's why i recommend sticking to safestrap for now. Don't install both, they are not meant to work together.
second question. To install in stock ROM, you have to wipe everything except sdcard and sd-ext where you personal data is (never tried, so can't help you more). for slot1 Wiping is not necessary first time, cause slot1 is fresh. next time yo install other ROM you will have to wipe data, cache and system. double check what you ate doing, so you don't wipe stock instead of slot1.
Wipe options are in safestrap.
SafeStrap and Boot Manager
I have accidently installed both apps on my Motorola Razr XT910 and my phone is now stuck on the red logo - I cannot get it into the bootloader to unbrick it with RSD Lite. Is there anybody who can advise ?

Yes,but flash the Europian fastboot file.
And don't try to flash ICS if your stock was JB.
You can flash JB fastboot file with RSD Lite if you want, that way you'll upgrade to JB.
About RSD Lite,I unzip file with it,if I remember correctly, click on start, choose decompress only and find your zip.

Okay.. I have a similar problem which I have ran into now..Yesterday I was just using my phone normally and was trying to call someone, when the phone immediately shut down..my guess was that the battery stats were screwed up..So I tried charging it and even I had the question mark on the battery when I connected it to the charger. I couldn't switch on the phone manually. I was on PA android jellybean 4.3.1. So should I also need a factory cable or something to restore my phone??
Thanks in advance
Hi guys,
My XT910 ran Cyanogenmod 11, Kitkat Nightly. Tonight an OTA update appeared (something called snapshot or something). Thought it might fix some thing that were not quite right in my version so decided to update. At some point during this process the screen went black then the M logo appeared than the android recovery menu (i can load it). And nothing else. I tried rebooting, wiping cache, reset to factory, nothing works. Copied several ROM on the sd card because i have the option to update from sd. Nada. I gotta tell you i'm on a Mac and i cant change that this week, no Windows till next week. And probably the battery is draining...
What to do?
This is how it goes:
I can not power down the device
It restarts periodically if no action taken
at first the M logo appears
instead of CM logo there is a robot with an exclamation mark inside a red triangle
i can get into recovery menu by pressing the volume keys
i can choose one of the options but nothing else
when applying updates from sd card (stock 4.1.2, nightly rom or snapshot rom) it goes up to "verifying update" then it abandons
Later edit:if i reboot from recovery menu and when it powers off i press pwr and vol- it goes to boot menu. No windows means no adb hence power off from that menu. when i plug in the charger, the M logo appears andstays there. Question: if it does actually charge the battery and i dont fix it before getting a windows, what kind of rom should i flash? Stock?
OK, I tried updating the M10 snapshot today over my current M9 snapshot that I had installed.
As it was updating, the screen went off and then I couldn't get anywhere past the M Logo, pressing the volume keys I'm also able to navigate to recovery etc.. but that's it.
I was not able to boot the phone off and even though the screen was off, I don't believe the phone was off. When I got home, the only thing I knew to do was to flash a stock JB rom using RSD Lite. But when I tried flashing it a few moments ago, it failed - the battery is low apparently. Putting it on charge I can now see a charging logo on the screen that is not centered, but I believe it is charging. Once I've got some juice I will try flashing it again, and then I think it's a whole process of rooting it, installing SafeStrap again, and then starting over with CM11.
I don't know if you can even get RSD Lite for MAC, but it's the only way I know that should work to get the phone back up and running.
Thanks for sharing.
There is no RSD for Mac, nor something similar. But i've managed to set up a virtual xp machine (modern.ie), installed everything, captured the usb port with the phone stating "usb connected". Unfortunately i just couldnt connect the phone to rsd, no matter what i did.
Oh gosh.
I managed to get my phone back by flashing the stock JB rom and then working from there.
Try going to the boot menu thing (hold down all keys) and then navigate to AP fastboot. RSD lite should see the phone in this mode.
But make sure the battery is OK first. I did manage to charge it to 40% and it then flashed after it had some charge. Seemed to flash it a little differently than other times. Also the phone said "Device is LOCKED", but thankfully it all worked out fine. Now I'm on CM11 09/15 Nightly.
Have you installed the Motorola drivers?
Maybe you can't do it through a VM.

I'm glad you could do it. Mine seems to charge as well, it's now close to 24h since it bricked and i assume it would just die if it wouldnt charge in that particular state. Fortunately the keys on the Mac keyboard started working again after drinking beer two nights ago so i dont need to trick the virtual machine anymore, but unfortunately i just cannot get the rsd to see the phone on this VM. Probably should try a VM with windows 7 - i guess ill just do that. I have installed the drivers, the VM recognizes the phone (moto spyder adb...) but rsd wont see it, nor the adb driver installer (it needs to identify the device in order to install the proper drivers). I know that rsd is picky when it comes to usb cables, it might just not work with the original cable, but after trying 4 different cables i tend to think this is not the problem
P.S. I'm very upset on Google about killing Motorola and being disrespectful with its own customers (i mean i would have been expecting to be the first to get Android updates, not to wait one year to be able to update from 2.3 and i couldnt imagine they will not roll out RAZR updates after 4.1.2) so my next phone will be a Nokia Lumia. The coolest one, like my StarTac, my V70, my V3, my RAZR...
You maybe successful with a Windows machine
Indeed i was. It was fast and sound, no problems at all flashing stock rom. Though the phone didn't actually charged when plugged in and displaying the M logo. I had to actually sacrifice a usb cable and charge the battery directly.
I have the same problem - I updated to the last snapshot, and did a wipe in safestrap - and got bricked.
Only difference is I can't flash nothing! and in AP Fastboot mode the computer doesn't recognize anything.
Hi, Im new XDA and I signed-up mainly for the purpose of finding the solution to this very annoying bug on my Motorola Droid RAZR XT912. I've looked all over the web to find a solution but, just couldn't find one particular to my problem. So here it is. After trying to install Liquidsmooth V4.0 Nightly, it failed twice. I then rebooted the phone but it wouldn't boot back into CM11. I was then stuck in a boot loop. It would show the motorola sign then show the red triangle over the android and over again. I've tried using the rsd lite tool and the razr utility but cant continue because of low battery and i cannot charge the phone. When I put phone on charger, it shows the moto symbol then turns black. it then reboots and shows the red triangle over the android and does the process over and over again. How can i fix this problem?

The factory reset went through successfully , but after a restart it just continues the bootlop.
In AP Fastboot. When it's connected to the wall charger, it says battery ok.
But when i connect to a usb cable it says battery too low, can not program.
Somehow I need to bypass the battery low problem.
Nothing can be transferred to my phone in this state.
Or is it a way to flash a zip in stock recovery?
Please HELP!!

Put the phone on the charger and charge it for a couple of hours or over night, some people reported that they was able to flash the rom after that.
Or buy the factory cable,it allows you to flash the fastboot file, without battery low warning. It's only for flashing, not for charging.
Actually, you can make one by yourself,it's easy, here's the picture what you have to do
