I've been trying to fix this phone for about a week now with hardly any luck.
Problem: When pressing the power button to turn phone on, there is no samsung boot logo. the only thing that shows up is a black screen, [the backlight] it will stay that way until the battery dies.
i know it's not a problem with the display because i can get to the recovery screen by pressing the three buttons. i tried numerous wipes and factory resets, even tried to reboot from there. but it still wont boot up, it only ends up with that black screen. Also the green battery shows which further indicates that it's not a display problem.
Phone Description:
Model: GT-I9500

RATED:3.85V===:13 00mA
MADE IN KOREA BY SAMSUNG

That's basically all i know about this phone, not sure what mtk version it is either, i know it's a clone because on the hardware differences under the hood compared to the real S4. also it shows mt65xx [i installed the driver for it btw] when connected at battery screen.
[it's probably a legend or a superking since it's from korea i think]
Some things i've tried: i downloaded android SDK, MTK droid tools, SP FLash tools, for some reason, i keep getting error 8200 in sp flash tools and mtk droid tools doesn't detect my phone.
I tried flash updating firmware with adb sideload, it always ends up with an error ''aborted''. i can't enable usb debugging since the phone wont turn on.. :/,
Also can i make it work with a stock recovery img. or something?
Attached: battery screen, recovery screen, when the phone is powered on, after battery pull.
Can anyone help me?

Dead.
I will assume that it is a mtk phone.(that's what most clones are)
Try to boot it with power&volume up or power&volume down.
If it doesn't start, sadly it's a hard brick, and you throw away the phone.
But,if it starts, tell us the mt version.
Also, have you tried to do a manual install of the preloader?

I have the same model
but mine is not chinese ....cloned one........
how to find it is china or not?
i have a tecno f8 device, it has MT6589 processor. The phone hanged one time and i forced restart it holding down the power button for about 10secs, unfortunately when the phone restarts, it kept coming on and off, and here is where i think i bricked the phone, the phone's battery was at 10%..i pulled the battery and loaded the cmw recovery plugged in the charger, and i tried reflashing my custom rom (miui v5).. the rom installed completely.. then i went to 'reboot now' from the cmw menu options, and then my phone refused to come on, its just dead, led light wont even come on if i plug the charger, and i cant boot into recovery.
i have been to a number of android developmental blogs trying to solve this issue, i even download the stock firmware and i tried flashing with sp flash tools, but i keep getting various brom errors, the 3149, 5069 no space errors.
can anyone pls help me get my phone back on?
i was getting some problems with the samsung galaxy s4 clone mt6575 version ,the phone was going into the bootloop ,i could see only the android logo during the phone boot and the phone would become stuck so i googled on how to flash the phone and got some instructions .
here are the steps i followed
1.i downloaded the stock firmware for the mt6575 version
2.downloaded spflashtool
3.selected the scatter file from the downloaded firmware
4.clicked the download button and connected my phone ,i was constantly getting errors like emmc error but i tried again and again
5.at the middle of flashing ,got some error and the phone became dead and never came back
6.i tried reinstalling the drivers but the phone was not detected by the pc as it was detected before
7.but i could feel the phone was working since the camera portion was very warm as if i was gaming on the phone.
any solutions to bring back the phone to life ,the phone shows no display or any response when press the power button even when i pulled out the battery and connected the device the pc didn't detect the device.
hello everyone
this phone is NOWHERE... i cant believe how few people have this phone in the hacking community.
I've used a guide seen here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCiq21WsFEc
essentially I rooted it in KK successfully. Then I installed TWRP through the twrp app... installed successfully. no error.
Went to reboot, phone does not get past splash. Recovery instantly goes to black (powered off) screen with red LED (tells me the phone is kind of on.. but some serious hardware misunderstanding taking place.)
How can I restore the stock recovery? While it is in this no-display-red-light mode it appears on my computer in DFU... so I know it is possible to still get in there, but I cannot find anything about the stock recovery for this phone.
Can't believe ZTE has little to no support for this phone...
Possible solution
That video seemed to be for the newer model of the zte grand x, thats why its called grand x plus. I had tried it on my phone and it was like stuck in a power up loop, what i did to get out of it is to go into recovery mode by pressing and hold the power button plus the up volume button. One i got in there i just rebooted it. Try that out and see if it works. Im still looking around for a solid root for this phone
So first off, here is what i know about my device.
Samsung Galaxy S4
SCH-I545VRUGOC1
I installed TWRP because i guess i had no idea what i was doing, and locked myself out of my recovery mode, then tried to fix that by flashing the stock rom which didn't work either.
when booting this is what happens.
Recover - Nothing
Odin/Download mode - Works.
Power only - boots to black screen that says "Samsung Custom OS" then the screen turns black, blue LED comes on and it doesn't restart or turn off, it just seems to be frozen. (I expect this is because i've attempted to flash multiple times thinking the issue was my cable connection)
no idea what to do now, can't boot can't think straight since i've been at it for hours finding things on these forums but nothing seems to work through odin.
Can't download VZW Repair assistant (no online link, and phone wont recognize through my pc)
samsung kies wont recognize it either.
Help?
Need any info, ill be at my computer for a few hours trying to hash this out.
-Don't care about my data on the phone, it's replaceable.
Thanks.
Fixed it Via SmartSwitch
Was able to recover all of the aforementioned.
