It's cool. Really. But I do not use LTE, because it drains the battery quickly.
So the international model officially supports LTE-A! How awesome is that!

Good HSDPA+ enough for any task, LTE enhances comfort, but a quick discharge of the battery - it is a very high price for it.
Unfortunately I only have 500MB/month. With the speed OP mentioned, I could use it all in ~35 seconds. It's great, but kind of sad to be honest.

Constant 4G doesn't actually use much battery. When switches start taking place, it can make quite an impact.

7-12 Mbps on average using HSPA+ on Rogers.
40-70 Mbps using LTE (unofficial, still in testing in our town) on Rogers. Wife and coworkers get 70 Mbps on Bell/Telus.
Rogers did a contest last year when they turned on their 2600 MHz LTE. The vast majority of the entrants were getting over 90 Mbps.

I get throttled during busy times, my data will be almost unusable around 5 pm yet my wives data still works just fine. I use about 8 gb a month and she only uses about 1.5-2 gb a month. Our 4g here is no where near 30 mbps, I get closer to 6-7 when its available (which isn't very often)

Like the previous guy said you get edge speeds unless tmobile has refarmed the 1900 MHZ in your area for HSPA speeds.
Below is the list of cities where tmobile has refarmed the 1900 MHZ.

My connection is spotty too, but that really depends on the area. On areas closer to the Antenna it stays connected most of the time. But where I live my experience is close to yours.
I am on T-Mobile, did the Nexus conversion, and I can confirm that I am unable to get 3G on the 1700mHz band. I live next to a T-Mobile tower, and my last phone (TMOUS HTC One S) got 3G signal without a problem, so I know it isn't the area. I am only able to get EDGE and I have the Nexus 4 modem M9615A-CEFWMAZM_2.0.1700.33.

I am aware that they are not compatible but I have a question about the bands. So AT&T and Verizon use the same 700MHz but the bands are different. Verizon uses Band 13 and AT&T uses Band 4 and 17. Are the bands strictly hardware only? Or can you add a mod where it can pickup AT&T LTE?

No you cannot. The Note 4 only has 1 radio whereas there are 2 in the Note 3. That's why users that have the Note 3, such as myself, can be on a phone call and search the web at the same time on LTE. That is one of the reasons I have yet to upgrade. I actually use this feature a lot and Sprint did away with it in exchange for clearer voice calls and faster data speeds. I may get the Note 5 regardless if the specs I've read about come to fruition.

Actually all spark phones are completely capable of simultaneous voice and data as long as they're on the spark network. If only on regular 4G/3G then your statement is correct. I too made the uninformed mistake of upgrading to the S5 only to immediately switch to the best non-spark phone I could (note 3). Sprint says they had to remove the secondary radio that allowed simultaneous v/d due to the power requirements of the faster spark chips in order to conserve battery. Either way I don't have spark in my area yet so it was a no brainer to switch.

I got about 70 mbps with ATT in an area that I only got 30 to 40mbps with my Note 3.
Im on tmobile and I'm actually having the reverse. I upgraded from a Note 3 and when I run speed tests in the same places that I did with my note 3, the 6p is on average 50% slower. Can't be because of the lack of band 12 because the note 3 didn't have that band. Hmmm
It seems Sprint just updated the network today. I'm in San Antonio TX, I've always compromised service for price but if this stays consistent then I'll finally have both.
