[Q] (Q) Asus Memo Pad hd7 battery issue. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone. I bought ASUS memopad hd7 3 months ago and everything is smooth.
Problems is that since last week, everytime battery goes under 40% the tablet wont boot, showing red battery icon only.
I've searched fóruns for somekind of a fix with no luck at all.
Andy sugestions are apreciated.

Hi there!
I was struggling with battery draining very often. I had tried battery saving softwares and full cycle recharges... Anything was working out. Once I had my battery almost 50% and suddenly the tablet restarted and never started up anymore. The screen started to blink, the Asus logo appeared and restarted, and so on and so on ... Even pressing the wake button for several seconds, it didn't seemed to shut it down. So the battery started to get hotter and hotter and I counld't shut down the tablet, so I figured out a way... Just opened the back cover and unplugged the battery connector and leaved it for 10 minutes.
After this procedure, my battery was reborn and now I have a brand new tablet.
To everyone who wants to open its tablet, remember to remove the SD card first before unsamble the back cover, otherwise you will damage your SD slot.

You must keep Active the Intelligence Saver in Optimize mode

Random reboot and phone's death for some days

Hi everyone! I've a problem that's bothering me since i've bought this phone. Let's start from the first day when my beautiful gs2 arrived and there's no way it would turn on, i tried charge the battery but it didn't work too, it displayed the grey battery logo and then reboot in a loop. Then magically after some hours it started working. After a few months the phone started rebooting or powering off by itself and after a few more weeks it wouldn't turn on or charge like the first day and like that it returned to life after few days. I took it to a samsung point and they changed the usb connector.
It all worked fine for a few months and then here we were again and the phone died and turn to life after few days and also this time they changed the usb connector.
Now it's begun rebooting again and i think it won't turn on few weeks from now.
I've noticed that when the phone reboot there's a vertical drop in the battery charge, almost to zero, only to recharges by itself instantaneously after rebooting. Few days ago the phone didn't reboot but the battery charge went instantaneously from 60% to 10% and then started slowly charging by itself till almost 25%.
What do you think about it? I'm starting to think the problem is the battery chip that control the charge, is it possible? It's integrated in the battery right? so if i change it the gs2 would be ok?
i would personally try another battery.
if that doesnt work, it might be the u503 chip on the phone.
i recently had an issue with that chip after slight water damage (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462207) and noticed the same issue with the battery level, and it not turning on sometimes. tried with 3 different batteries and had the same problem.
got rid of the u503 chip, and its working fine now.
The problem is i don't have another battery. I tried the battery of a friend and it came back to life but there's no way to tell if it did the trick because it's random. The other times one second it was dead and the next one it was working again even without changing anything.
In my case when the phone reboot it doesn't get hotter so i think it's different from yours. More over is still under warranty so it's better not to touch it yet

Charging Failure

Hello all. It's been a long time since I've been to this section of XDA, glad to see it's still got some life left.
I'm trying to get my old i777 working so a friend of mine can borrow it. If I remember correctly, it was running an AOKP rom when I stored it well over a year ago, and it was fine. Today I went to turn it on, nothing. I started charging it, let it go for a few hours. It still won't turn on; instead it's acting a bit strange. Every few seconds the screen flashes either the gray battery charging logo, an instant dim flash of the entire screen (a slight gray, nothing bright), or the home/back/etc buttons flash for an instant. When the charge logo appears, the screen brightens just before it goes off. All buttons are unresponsive, my computer does not recognize it. I've been unsuccessful in finding any real help with Google and searching XDA. The only advice I found was to plug it in without the battery, then put the battery in. This did not help. Any feedback would be appreciated - this little phone has a lot of sentimental value to me. It's been through hell and back, it survived my ex (who managed to break a Nokia 3310 and Nokia 920). If I have to put it to rest, I guess it's earned it, but I'd like to keep it going for just a while longer.
Did you store it away with the battery in the phone? If so, in a year, the battery could be completely drained and in some cases, that can cause a problem with charging, as in will not charge. Possibilities to test, use a fully charged battery by charging the existing battery with an external charger, or by using another battery. This would be the first thing I would try.
I am also having such a problem from time to time, when my battery is complitely drained. I am using such a device to bring the battery back to life. Always helps.
I usually plug mine into a higher powered charger like my s6 one and that gets it out of the loop.

Charged battery at 0% or 5% even when charged on another device. Cannot boot.

So I have an odd issue here... I have a tmobile v10 that suddenly stopped working. Can't boot up or anything anymore. Here's some events (not in order) that have happened. I dropped my phone about 6 months ago and cracked the screen. Was fine up until about a month ago. I pulled it out of my pocket one day and it was off. Thought I had accidentally turned it off while in my pocket, so I went to power it back on, but nothing. It wouldn't boot up at all. Thought my battery died so I plugged it in, but again, nothing. for the next couple of days I was able to randomly get it to power up and boot up to the main home screen. After a few seconds it would freeze and then shut off on it's on, sometimes rebooting automatically, but never making it passed the "LG" splash screen. Any who, before all this the phone ran fine, no issues. I didn't update anything or add any odd ball apps. I got it to show some life when plugging into the computer via the lg usb cable with the battery removed, but as soon as I threw the battery back in and try to reboot, nothing.
The other odd thing I noticed is that when I threw a charged battery in it, it would kill the life of the battery (verified by placing a charged battery in the dead v10 and then after trying to boot, removing and placing back in my good v10 and checking battery life). It would always say it was either 0% or 5% when I put it back in the good v10. The batteries will still charge on the good v10 so I don't think the batteries are bad (one is a brand new LG brand battery).
I'm leaning towards the prongs being shot on the battery connector that's on the motherboard, rather than the charging port. Anyone ever have this issue or even hear of it? I did some searching online but realized I didn't even know what to look up to find what I was looking for.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
Sorry for the story, just trying to give as much details as possible. I'm sure I forgot some stuff, but I'll edit/update as I remember them. Thanks.

Help with a (very) problematic XT910

Hello guys, so, a friend of mine gave me his old RAZR xt910 after some begging, he was going to throw it away. This phone came to me with a dead battery and a shattered screen. First, the phone wasn't turning on, but would turn on and stuck on bootlogo only - with the charger (ac). I managed to hard reset it and load Android throu BP TOOLS (vol up down + charger), after taking the battery away, Running on charger only, - this was a new "gold" 3030mah aftermarket battery that was put in there by my friend one year ago. I was pretty impressed since it turned on without battery, like, wtf!. I tried to install CyanogenMod but could get to safestrap since it was asking for a battery ((?) image when on charger). Recently he brought me the old original battery - the one he tried to swap for the new one. It was all good, I put it back in and booted with 99%, but it depleted quickly. The phone refuses to charge it, wherever it is on or off, ((? Image when it's off, again)… it says OVERHEATING when it's on and then enters a cool down phase in which I can only do emergency calls, nothing else. On cpu-z it shows battery as Overheat at 80c (doesn't show variation). It also shows Overheat when without battery so I'm guessing this is preventing charge, but the energy flows well through the phone. Cyanogens turn the phone immediately off after optimizing apps on first boot (I guess it's because the wrong temperature data). I'm afraid... should i spend 15 dollars to try the luck on a new battery?, is the temperature sensor installed on the battery or the phone? Anyone booting from CHARGER ONLY, NO BATTERY INSTALLED getting "Overheat" status on cpu-z temperature readings? I would like to fix this phone to keep it... I like collecting phones.
After the battery depleted I managed to recharge it alone on a.universal charger, manually. I can't say its a comfortable way to charge it, but still the only way. Unfortunately I threw the "new battery" away so I can't say if it would say "Overheat " too to determine if it's a phones problem. Big fault

SGP621 - new battery, touch screen, build a mini-tv?

Hi guys,
it seems my tablet finally died. It does not want to charge up (light is on when charging) and battery definetly went below 5%. It does not even show battery screen/3 led blinks when trying to turn it on.
It also has damaged screen so what I would like to do it, is to open the tablet up, change battery (could be bigger) and the screen and make something like mini-pc? I know the hardware's good, battery has been acting up for the longest time.
So, could any of you recommend me a good battery (and tools to open the tablet up) for this tablet and a bigger touch screen so I could reassemble this device into a mini-tv? Maybe a new charge port/charger could be good too so I could keep it powered on all the time. Any ideas are welcome, It is just a thing that came up to my mind what I could do with this device instead of throwing it away.
