Awesome! I went and got some Jamba Juice to test, worked perfectly!
I then went to CVS and it did not work, but the cashier said the pen wasn't working so it was probably their equipment broken.

Do you still get 50 for signing up?

Can you tell me how you unrooted? I just did the update last night and me device was rooted. I think me device is unrooted because I cant access superuser and busybox says cant get root access. Butt the isis wallet says im rooted.

I got Isis last week and got $40, spent it on an otter box at verizon, and got $18 back on the serve card! A $10 promo and 8 was a 20% back promo.

Anybody know if this works for att go phone? I get error 7008 when activating. Says to call att. I have and they couldn't tell me anything. I have the enhanced Sim card.

Are you 801 guys on the Official KitKat or the rooted KitKat Rom that just came out - root? Wonder if that matters. Also I thought I read you need a new sim with Isis on it but I need to read up on this stuff.
How do you go about trying this. Just go to the Isis app from your phone? Might be a dumb question but do you have to have a Amex card?

Finally worked. Only gave me $25 though

No, you sign up for an Amex card for use with ISIS. The signup process asks for your name, address, SSN and birthdate.

Cool thanks guys. I had to get new SIM. T-Mobile had no issue giving me one. I thought I had a new one that I was using from my Flex. I got 25 as well. Used it for lunch at McDonald's. The employee didn't even know what the machine was for. Lol

Google wallet

Now that we have root can somebody help me get google wallet working?
I've tried the ways they get it to work on other phones but they won't work. Is there some thing I'm doing wrong and that's why the build.prop won't save on reboot?

To edit the build.prop you have to use adb to push it in recovery. You can't write to /system when you have s-on and that is where build.prop is located

Yeah... I thought that all US carriers, with the possible exception of Sprint, blocked the use of Google wallet as they are all developing their own ecosystem for it. This is not fact, but what I've come to understand.
I think in order to get wallet to work on the Verizon Siii, in touchwiz, it is first necessary to flash a file pulled from a sprint Siii which enabled the secure element.
I wonder if we need a file to enable the secure element also? Maybe someone could pull it from a nexus 4 since they have the same soc?
Interestingly, if the Verizon Siii is running AOSP, the secure element file does not need to be flashed. I don't know if the is because AOSP includes it by default, or if the development team is adding it to their build of AOSP.

Do you have a secure element sim card? It sounds like the Rezound users are making progress IF they have the sim card designed for ISIS with the secure element?
I live in Salt Lake, one of the test markets for ISIS, but I don't think VZW will give me a sim card for ISIS since the DNA isn't on their list?
I'm going to stop by tonight or in the morning to look at chargers, I'll ask ...

Yeah, I edited the build.prob and used the edited Wallet .apk and it gave me the same error about the secure element.
I hope somebody can figure it out. I think if we get a dump of the j butterfly and pull and push the files to the DNA we might be able to get it to work.

Activating Rooted Thunderbolt

Hey guys, I have a rooted Thunderbolt that I'm selling but I was going to sell it with Gingeritis3D on it.
If I reflash the ROM, it will allow its new owner to setup their account on the phone and use it as their own, but I got stuck wondering that if they could even activate it while this ROM was installed.
While Gingeritis3D is the running ROM on this phone, can it be activated online or via customer service line?
If not, how could the phone be activated?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
It should be able to be activated. They will need to do it over the phone with customer service.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Thanks man, I knew I would probably receive my answer from you. Lol.
If it can't be activated after calling customer service, does that make it obviously rooted to them or does it throw up some sort of red flag?
Oh, and can they activate it on the SIM card that's in it or will they need to get a new one?
I have no use for the SIM.

You will need a new sim and they won't know its rooted if it won't activate. Just download a sense 2.1 ROM and use it to activate if you have any issues but I don't think you will.

Alright.
I can go up to Verizon and get another SIM for it that will work for whoever buys it, right? Or do they have to go get one themselves?
I just know they can't take it in there and let them put it in since it would be rooted.
...Or does it even matter to them since the phone has no warranty anyways?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
It wouldn't matter anyway and yea you could just take it in there and get a sim. Just make sure its a corporate store and not a retailer because they will charge you for a sim.

Yea. They'll note it more than likely that there is no warranty since its rooted and sold to another person. They know my phone is rooted and it hasn't caused me any problems and I use up gigabytes of data with wireless tether.

Gotcha! Lol.
I'll go by Verizon and pick up a SIM card for the buyer I suppose, and I'll just tell the person at Verizon that I'll activate it myself online... just to be safe.
Or does the SIM have to have a specific number in relation to the new owners account or phone number?
Should I go get the SIM or should I let the new owner get it?

Umm. Let them get it. They are only gonna give you one for your own account. This should not be an issue. It should be a given that you get your own sim when you buy a used phone. If they expect you to provide it id say they aren't very inteligent.

I'm wondering the same thing. Submitted my req 2nd time in 7 years today. But I do hope there is a way to do this by myself like say the autoprime's great job on S4
It can be done through Sprint. The prices takes 2 days for them to get back to you. They call you back to verify your info then unlock the SIM.

Nope. Google Wallet is blocked.
You need to be rooted and you have to jump through quite a few hoops.

To date there is no way to get the Google Payment stuff to work without a hack to the phone.
The SIM card, from what I understand is for limited markets and makes ISIS work.

Can't connect to 4G/LTE

Just got this MDK S4 so I need a little help from the pros here..
I don't see anywhere where I can select my APN and I can't get 4G at all. I've flashed the mk2 modem and here is what my settings look like...
I'm on AOKP 4.4 and I've flashed a couple other roms like Beanstalk and Slim and it's the same thing.

Not sure if this is even rom related. I threw my sim card from my old s4 into this one. Everything seemed to work off the jump but maybe I have to call Verizon? I'm back on stock MDK now and still no 4g even after getting into apn settings and verifying everything. Not really sure.

Well I forgot that this phone connected up to my wifi at the house and I wasnt on 4g/lte
I was pre occupied with fixing this thing. When I got it it had both TWRP and CWM installed and it was screwing things up big time. Phone was bootlooping etc.. Just not acting normal. Did a full wipe.. Then I wasc teaching myself how to root MDK and Loki and new throw TWRP back on. Anyways I didn't notice that itv actually never said connected to 4g. Dumb mistake on my part.

The lady I spoke with at Verizon said I should have good just to pop my sim into this one and go. . However sometimes it doesn't take all the way and you need to call. Figure going from one s4 to another would be easy but she said because they are the same exact phone pretty much that it may have screwed up the id numbers more easily. Hey you got me. Course now I have to wait until I'm home and have both phones powered off and on front of me. Suppose I was too eager to fire this one up and get my aosp on .
Hey thanks for checking in though. .. pretty silly mistake on my part but I'm human what can I do
Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well not that this really should have been a thread in the first place but...
A new sim card fixed the issue. They said that sometimes for no reason at all you'll need a new one when switching between phones.
