[bounty] the best kernel ktweaker - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hi everyone I am trying to get a bounty going for the best kernel I've ever ran on a device it's the S4 kernel and there are so many mods and custom scripts and profiles to load. When I had the s4 my battery would last 2 days and it was snappy. my start to the bounty is 50 bucks and I think we just need to get him a bad esn or broken screen or something so check out his kernel and his tweaks and all the goodies and let's get this going guys

Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

It's only one of the best kernels around u won't regret it to get this developer over here check out his thread and all his profiles and scripts you can load man the possibilities are endless with this kernel
Sent from my SM-N900P using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

So you are trying to get a port of this kernel?
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

I'm getting the dev to support our device he said he would if I can get a phone for him so it won't be ported it will add support to our phone
Sent from my SM-N900P using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Look at his threads for the S4 he makes kernels for touchwiz and aosp and GE if we have the Rom his kernel will make it a beast

I'm familiar with his work. I had a s4 . I just wasn't sure what you were aiming for. I get it now...... Deff a great kernel.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

Yea it's a great kernel it made my battery last like 2 days on stock battery with 3 4 hours screen on time and it was faster than **** I figure why not try to spread the love and support. A little here and a little there and we can get this bad boy going
Sent from my SM-N900P using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Bring on KT! I just left the s4 and used his kernels religiously.

Anyone wanting to throw down on the bounty

Thread closed, please double check the rules regarding bounties. Begging for money for a developer who has not been notified or agrees to doing any work is not what we do here.

Is it me or does development seem kind of slow for this device? I figured by now we would have one or two roms out alrewdy

I guess you missed the vote. We all decided we liked it better stock with TW. You should have voted dude. :silly:
Most important thing is official bootloader unlock. Then development will get crazy.

There are already more than two ROMs available. Also, the phone has been out less than a week.

Jedi X14

If you guys want to try a unbelievable Rom..... Try the Jedi X14 for the Sprint Note 2 and then use Scotts patch for VZW. This Rom is unreal. The galaxy s4 theme that comes with it is beautiful also
Check it out.... You will thank me!!!!!!!

It's straight placebo, straight from the android engineer responsible for building the code we run.

It's just called battery calibration I got it from that top 200 or whatever apps list on here.
But that makes sense lol I mean I'm not a dev or anything but what could an app really do to calibrate your battery. Placebos have cured before though.

I, too, love the jedi- they really have something going on. Only problem for me is that the GPS isn't working. I'm noob enough to not understand why, with over 179 pages of replies, the thread for xv14 has only a sprinkling of GPS issues.
Anyhow, thougths on how to get the GPS working will make my day (night).

You can do this with any kernel with as many roms as you have the storage space for using the rom toggler guide that utilizes Tasker.

Yupp, I'm letting you know now before you spend the money Tasker is probably the most powerful app in the store, it's unintuitive, and has a learning curve. That being said, there's lots of YouTube tutorials to get you started, learning Tasker makes your phone a lot smarter than you even realize it could be, and @eBoody has made his tutorial on how to set up his rom toggler very easily. make sure you thank him for it and good luck.

This is not dual booting at all.. ROM Toggler uses nandroid backups to switch between Roms. Everytime you want to switch Roms you have to wait minutes nandroid backup and restore, that's definitely not dual booting.
With Devil you use the same kernel for each rom whether TW or AOSP, each Rom has it's own partition for apps... it's just a completely different concept.
Telling the OP he can dual boot with any ROM and any kernel is misleading. My 2 cents :good:
Anyway, buying Tasker is not a bad idea
Yea after doing some research I notice it just works off of nandroids and doesn't dual boot and it was misleading so devils dual boot is still the way to go in my opinion

If you can wait, wait... if not and you want to avoid the KNOX binary trigger, use Root de la Vega. @mjcollum posted a thread about it in our Sprint Note 3 forum, here.
Personally, I could care less about KNOX security so I used CF-AutoRoot and jumped into all the fun that can be had.

knox knox...who's there...FREEEEE TETHER!!!!!! thats why i rooted!
Yea I pretty much went the keep it as stock as possible route and went the vega route just to keep my options open in the future. At this point pretty much just running a stock system with vega root. Xposed modules.wifi mod. And massively debloated. Seems ideal for me at this time. That way I can still go either way as development progresses . Return to complete stock. Or go all out with roms.
From my Note 3 using Tapatalk
Just rooted yesterday with the vega root, and you can still have wifi tethering with stock, and no knox trip either! Im still getting anxious to start flashing lol!

You could side load it and it will work still but not on kit kat. The flash fix for dolphin is the only thing I've seen and I just found out about that. The bean works great for me so I'm in no rush for the kk update.
If you want Flash just use the FlashFox browser. It works fine for me
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.browser.flashfox
It won't work with the regular flash apk on kk. Anything lower, then yes.
I don't want them to necessarily hurry, just want them to do it right. I'd wait an extra week if it meant less buggy.
