I don't know if this question goes here, please introduce me to that forum; I'm really new here so I apologize for any bad spelling or inconvenience. Well straight to business, I bought a tablet (wich I think is generic, as I can't find much information about personalization, as rooting) named Philco tb-ph3, I'm from Argentina btw. But I wanted to root it and/or change the android (wich is 4.2.2).
Some specs are (from cpu-z):
model: Philco tb-ph3
android version Jelly bean 4.2.2
cpu architecture: arm Cortex-A9
kernel architecture: armv7l
kernel version: 3.0.36+ (eng.zed.20130903.194648)
hardware: rk30board
ram: 1 GB
bootloader: Don't know
My question is basically if there is a way to root and/or there is a custom rom somewhere for that tablet. I'm aware that there won't be a custom rom for my tablet specifically, but I know that some roms can fit in various devices, maybe one of them could work for me.
In the worse case that I do something wrong it would be awesome to know someway to make a backup for the entire rom not just the apps, just in case.

I bought just for try a tablet on Ebay - Name: N500 8G, Allwinner. Name of the model: BC1077, verzion of Android 4.0.3.
The problem is that the android 4.0.3 does not sync google calendar. I have read it in other phorums, it is common problem.
Do somebody know how to solve it?

Ifound the solution here.... My error was I searched with the device name but it's better to search with the CPU name as RK3188

I just got the Polaroid MID9748 yesterday (120$), extremly interesting performance/price ratio !
I don't use Win7 but I can recommend you these points :
- Check if the CPU name are the same?
- You need to install the usb driver on you PC first according you CPU name: http://www.rockchip.nl/downloads/
- Install adb : http://www.xda-developers.com/android/adb-easy-tutorial/
- Download the TPSarky-Von-Droid-Root.rar
There is a bat file inside with the command, according Linux world is like script.sh file in the blog in my second post, open it check if there lot difference. If you're not sure don't launch it. Read carefully this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526487 where TPSarky-Von-Droid-Root package is from.

-A través de esa App tienes que descargar e instalar CWM en la pestaña Apps
-Luego de instalar CWM, tienes que hacer Reboot Recovery, en la pestaña Reboot
-Luego, dentro de CWM, con la pantalla táctil, ir a Backup and Restore
-Si tienes una microSD (requerido para este paso) elegir la opción Backup to external_sd
-Esperar algunos minutos y voila!

PD: Hay una Custom ROM de una Tablet marca Visture V97HD, que instale en esta Tablet, pero no me funcionaba el táctil, ni las cámaras y ni los sensores, pero el sistema andaba fluido. Espero que se pueda hacer algo combinando las dos.

Compre un equipo alcatel one touch 8000a y no le puedo cambiar la ROM se la quiero cambiar debido al bajo rendimiento que tiene ya que los recursos del telefono son algo buenos
tiene 512 Mb de RAM
y un procesador de doble nucleo a 1.2Ghz.
porfavor si alguien sabe como entrar al recovery se lo agradeceria y mucho mas si saben de alguna ROM cocinada compatible con este dispositivo

He just says that if there ROMS available for Alcatel 8000A -Easy Scribe- either PA, CM, or any other, nd he wanna to customize it. Personally, I wish also because I have so many problems with the factory stock for this device

Buy alcatel one touch 8000th team and I can not change the ROM I want to change because of the low performance that since resources are some good phone
has 512 Mb of RAM
and a dual core 1.2Ghz.
please if anyone knows how to enter the recovery would appreciate much more if they know of any cooked ROM compatible with this device

what i did
rooted with framaroot, install busybox (stericson), get init.d support with universal init.d support , then install scripts to init.d and give permissions manually . rebbot .
it works , its fast and smooth .

Well, it's another MSM8225/A203 based smartphone, just like Huawei Y300, Samsung I-826x, LG Optimus L7 II, etc...
...anyway it would be great to have a common forum/community for all "clones", it shoud push ROMs & kernel customizations/interchange/progress.
okay so i picked up this tablet at a pawnshop for $10, doesnt boot, but will go into recovery. I downloaded the firmware from the proscan website but it wont install it from recovery(says rkimage update failed) with the image file that was in the firmware download, the zip file wont install either. I cant get my pc to detect it without popping up usb device not detected ****, and it will detect it and install an mtp device while its stuck in a bootloop, any ideas or help with this would be awesome?
Also when i took it apart i saw that the chip in it was a RockChip rk3128 which i found is mostly quad core chip but the tablet specs say its a dual core?

This is an update to Android 7.1.2 Nougat for the Pendoo T95Z Plus Android TV Box.
*This is for the 2Gb/16Gb version. It will Brick the 3Gb/32Gb! Use only for 2Gb/16Gb.
You will need to research the update proceedure to get it flashed into your box. Looks like there are two ways to do the update, 1, Use amlogic usb burning tool with a special usb cable, or 2, use a micro sd card to flash.
Warning: The Pendoo T95Z Plus has a different WiFi chip than the Sunvell, or other manufacturers of the T95Z boxes.
This worked for my Pendoo box with the "Fn-Link" WiFi chip. Posting here to help others out, as this update is almost impossible to find.
This came from Pendoo Customer Support as a link to download. Here is a link to the .zip file.
Do NOT flash this for anything but the Pendoo variant.

Is it 7.1.2 or 7.1.1?
Some firmwares claim to be 7.1.2 but after flashing and on build.prop are 7.1.1, also not that hard to port, specs are the same other than the wifi chip so should be extremely easy
It shows as version 7.1.2 in my settings on the box. I was actually surprised to get a reply from Pendoo with the link. Maybe the Chinese manufacturers are realizing that supporting their products is good for business.

Thank you so much! Created an account just to let anyone else that stumbles across this know that it works on my T95ZPlus (2/16) with 9377 (LTM8830 on the circuit board) wifi chip. I know what a pig it can be to find firmware for correct wifi/bluetooth/infrared but this went on with no problems and everything works! I now have 7.1.2!

Only way to know is to open the box up. I guess you should know the RAM/ROM sizes from when you bought it...

It's the 2gb 16 gb model I been trying to get it to update with any of the softwares at this stage but won't update from SD card says SD card read only when it aint. Bought alot of Android boxes this one is by far the worst I have seen it absolutely shocking how sketchy os is

I have T95Z Plus 2/16 (s912) Android Box
Original FW was Android 6.0.1, but I was receiving new FW from factory (WeChip) - Android 7.1.2
With this FW I have problem with "OK" button with remote controller for my LG TV. When I pressing "OK" on LG remote controller TV Box made "UP"+"OK". All option in HDMI CEC is on.
With original remote controller from TV Box no problem.
What and where I should change for solving this problem?
P.S. Now I was closing IR receiver sensor on my TV Box.
