Picked it up yesterday. Runs the same AT&T with more data (5gb) for 55 a month. I was paying 60 for 2gb. Same exact service and 3 more gb of LTE data then it throttles down to 2G. Unlimited 2G. What carrier are you using?
Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk
I have "3", Denmark
Price: 37$/month
Unlimited Voice calls, SMS and MMS
Max 10 GB on any band including LTE. After that speed gets throttled, but I don't have to pay for extra data.
No limit to what kind of service I spend my data on.

Sprint on a family plan on 5 devices we pay 218 for unlimited data with no throttling, unlimited texting and 1500 minutes to share
Too bad AIO went to $60 for 5gb. I was $70 for 7gb when they first started. I thought long and wrong and missed that beginning offer. If you need 7gb now it will cost you $80($60+$10 for each extra 1gb).
Also is it true they limit LTE speed to 8mb?
45 doll hairs a month and unlimited everything, maxed out sprint framily plan FTW
Solavei here. Unlimited talk text and Web where 2GB is high speed and the rest is 2G. 2GB has been enough for me. Don't have lte yet either but hspa + has been sufficient on T-Mobile towers. I pay $0 a month. Solavei has a referral program and I took advantage of it. Some say it's like a pyramid, I say free service for me lol. So yeah. I've been free for 3 months now. That's how I got this phone. Instead of paying for my bill I'll be paying for the phone only. Btw sprint framily completely stole the idea from solavei lol

If Sprint knew what speed was, it'd be a good option. But 4G LTE with 1-4mbps speeds is really sad.

How much data can u use on the unlimited data plan? I know they say its unlimited but how much is that ? and how much data would i have to is before that cap me
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
There is no cap but of you are among the top 5% data hogs, AT&T will throttle your connection speed.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
At what amount of data is that considered
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
That depends how much data others are using. I'd guess if you are over 2GB, you are in the top bracket, not necessary top 5%.
For example, I'm on unlimited but my average usage is only about 300 to 500 MB per month.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
I use 6 GB on my capitvate (now thrill) each month, without tethering. Just a lot of Pandora and downloads, podcasts, ROMs etc. I have never been warned or throttled as best I can tell.
In the past there have been posts asking about data use. I was surprised to see how many people use 15+ GB each month.

According what I read, AT&T only started throttling fairly recently. Besides, with the poor 3G/4G speed on AT&T network, it is hard to tell you get throttled or not
For a couple months I used my phone as my primary internet because the internet in my apartment complex sucked and we didn't have any other options. Stupid college, but see for yourself.
Mostly netflix on the PS3 which was streaming in 1080p or 1080i depending on the day.
I changed #'s thats why it's two different charts btw.

The most I've used so far is 16gigs. I'm glad to see a higher number than me because I thought surely 16 would get me in the top 5.
Earlier today I read an article about a Verizon user eating up 120gb in a month on their LTE network. Must be nice.

Not sure what amount is considered the top percent but, they will supposedly warn you with a text before they throttle you. Also, throttling just started on Oct. 1st

Talk for yourself, I've got pretty good speeds
Depends on your area I guess. I'm only getting 1.7mbps down at work where coverage is not too stellar. Near the university, everyone gets full bars but everyone is capped at 3mbps down. I have found some areas where you can get 5-8mbps down on non peak hours. You won't get anywhere near H+'s theoretical speed currently so you probably don't need to worry about it.
Sent from my Galaxy S II using Tapatalk
You pretty much have to live in middle of nowhere to get higher speeds. Where I live, I only get about 600k down 60k up Where I work, I get 2m down, 1m up. Haven't seen any spots in DC metro area that exceed 3mbps speed.

I was assuming that AT&T will want to throttle any use over 2GB. When they announced their tiered plans, they said 65 percent of smartphone users consume less than 200MB per month, and 98 percent of users are under the 2GB mark. Using those numbers, all so-called "data hogs" would be subject to strangulation.
I have no idea, but I normally hit around 40mb each month (On an unlimited plan), but in the past week, I've hit 150mb, since I've been using my phone so much.
Thank the Lord I kept my unlimited plan.
For what it is worth, I've used more than 3GB of data several months in a row without warning or throttling.
I'm usually around 3gb of data

I love having unlimited talk text and web for $60 a month, even tethering works, even though Im not supposed to tether I do anyways and it works. Here is my Speedtest. so far best is this. I average about 7-8 in Myrtle Beach, SC. they use tmobile's network so no need to unlock your phone any tmobile phone works. I paid $629 for my Amaze 4g from newegg but it beats paying $140 a month to verizon, yes big chunk of change for a phone but it pays back in just 6 months from the savings compared to verizon. I get faster 4g with simple/tmobile than I did with verizon's 4gLTE. I avg 5-6 with verizon LTE.

If u plan on going to simple mobile do not get 3g plan they throttle it at 120 kbps, get 4g instead, no throttle.
Ive gotten 27.01 down and 2.73 up maximum so fat @ Edmond,OK
It's weird I two blocks from my house I get around 9.2 download on UMTS, but on HSDPA I get around 1.7 max...I near west hollywood los angeles...what gives??? I thought HSDPA was supposed to be faster? even if I walk outside my house it doesn't make a big difference, the two or three block difference is massive...is this normal?
how does tethering work? I can't get the mobile hotspot to work
Simple Mobile uses T-Mobiles HSPA+ network so its the same speeds as T-Mobile?
I'm currently on T-Mobile/Walmart's $30 unlimited 4G plan and pretty happy with it.

UMTS > HSDPA
UMTS 21Mbps is a fiber-link internet connection to the tower.
HSDPA is just a T1 connection to the tower.
The speeds you're getting sound like par for the course....
Edit: UMTS 42Mbps is apparently some kind of tweak to the tower's antenna's. The engineering tech didn't really elaborate much beyond that but he gave me the impression that it's similar to MIMO.
I just used the built in wifi hotspot, it works fine for me but I am also on a prepaid simple mobile. I hear tmobile don't charge extra for hotspot for prepaid customers.

This is correct. Tethering uses up your 3G/4G data allotment which varies depending on your plan. Anything above and beyond that slows down to EDGE speeds for the remainder of your cycle.
3G/4G data allotments:
$50 - 100MB
$60 - 2GB
$70 - 5GB

I have been consistently getting speeds lower than 80kbps down and 600up for over a month now. They haven't done anything no mater how much I call. They finally put in a tower ticket so it would be fixed in 72 hrs and I was to be notified that never happened. I'm terminating my service I can't justify paying for such low speeds. An the best part is its just the one tower right near my home the one up the road works fine.

I just did the math, downloading that slow 24 hours a day for 30 days you only use 18GB +/- so I'm not sure I understand the people that say they'd cancel if sprint removed unlimited plans. You wouldn't hit the cap at current speeds. Now if you are one of the people that actually get market average speeds I could understand that logic, but the rest of us would much rather have high speed...
I want to switch to Verizon, I just can't afford double cost for half the minutes, and data. I'm unlimited everything with sprint. I would trade it for a tiered plan that had Verizon service...just not at double the cost. Verizon has great service but for how cheap it is to run these networks they are priced too high.
you can also check here for tower maintence which is a little more specific than that other link posted before.

Could always jump to VZW and enjoy their constant outages while I understand that crappy of a speed is as bad as a outage still. Lol hopefully there are some upgrades for ur towers soon.

It wasn't until I reached 80gb until I received a call to watch my usage. They do know what you used it for. It is unlimited but if you ho overboard by tethering it they will cancel your service. I had many 25 gb months with no call from customer service. You should be fine.

I wish I could use that much data. I get about 50kbps dial-up speeds here on 3g, so I can never stream any music/video like I should be able to.
lol, nice, but yea, don't over do it man, most i did was 8gb, but i was doing it on purpose though, i never normally go over 2-3, but yea, it was a one time thing for you which is what i really feel like tethering should be used for, for the ones that abuse it SHAME!!!
lmao, seriously thats nothing. you will be ok. i avg 80gb a month
I couldn't rack up that much data in a month if I tried, the sprint 3G speeds here suck and they took out the wimax tower when they did the LTE upgrade last month so now I don't even get wimax when I am at work.
This is comfort to know that I can use my wifi tether without penalty. The app I mean not the sprint wifi tether. I don't even get wimax here at all. 3g sucks here too. I got to leave the city to get decent service.
When I was trying to negotiate my latest contract, they tried to convince me to drop cable internet and tether everything in my house off of my phone... stating that then I'd save money but not paying the cable company.

That is impressive.
I HAVE tried to use as much as possible and can only manage to use 5-6GB, thats all the more I can do @ 200Kb/sec
I don't think I've ever used more than a GB I'm a month. Even with frequent music streaming.

They shouldn't have taken out the WiMax equipment just yet. I thought they were supposed to run both until they begin phasing out WiMax all together? You should check with them and find out what's up with that. LTE is replacing WiMax, but over time, not immediately. This video kinda explains it in a way, but not very detailed. You should have it through 2015 at least:

Didn't mean to offend you, but we all have unlimited. Some plans are 1 gig before they throttle, some are 5 gig and so on. Then some people pay for unlimited high-speed data. That was my only point.
