LiquidSmooth 3.0 works with ZVA Radio - G2 General

I came across the LiquidSmooth thread today and everybody was ranting about how fast the data speeds were. A user claimed that it was running the ZVA radio but I was doubtful so i thought I would try.
I first flashed the ROM, checked, and was on ZV8 still like I expected. I booted back into recovery, flashed the ZVA radio, expecting a boot loop. The LG logo booted once, then twice, and I thought oh great just what I expected, but next, the LiquidSmooth boot loaded. I checked and I am running baseband version M8974A-AAAANAZM-2.0.20018
You can take the boot from LiquidSmooth and use it for other ROMs, just don't change the kernel from dr87's. I'm on PA Beta6 with same baseband version

Ohhhhhhhyeeeeaaaaaaa IMA try it asap

LiquidSmooth comes with dr87's kernel, and I use TWRP 2.6.3.3 Loki'd

I got my best and fastest LTE speeds on the ZV8 radio on this rom. The ZVA stock based roms i've tried arent holding LTE as well so not sure if i should use the ZVA with LS at this point. Plus we dont have Spark here so no real benefits.

Replacement phone from Asurion reboots when trying to flash rom

I just got a replacement phone from Asurion (Sprint Total Equipment Protection). I am trying to flash a rom (I have tried a few different ones) and in the process of flashing, the phone reboots and gets stuck rebooting.
Does anyone know how to get passed this?
Rom problem
I had a similar problem. I unlocked the bootloader but am still S-On running 1.19. After unlocking, I tried to install MeanBean 2.9 and the phone got stuck for over half an hour trying . I had to Power down. Obviously now it will not reboot. I can get to the bootloader and recovery screens, but cannot push a rom to root drive to flash.
I tried the linux unbricking thread advice, but my phone doesn't seemed to be recognized. Any suggestions on how to resurrect it?
Your phone ain't bricked, you have to flash the boot image first

[Q] Rooted with S-on Bootloader locked, in a bootloop

Hi everyone, I recently (as in last night) rooted and unlocked my htc evo 4g lte when i found out that htc will no longer be updating the device. I decided to take things into my own hands.
First of all, I unlocked via HTC dev and rooted with su 1.55. I also had Twrp 2.6.1 Everything was good up to this point.
I looked around for the best rom that was stable and I choose CM10.1.
I flashed the rom and not the kernel thinking i didnt have to. After the rom booted with the touch screen disabled or not working I quickly used the recovery i had made before doing all of this. After doing this over about 3 times i learned that you had to flash the kernel. I went and found the kernal for the rom and flashed it. I thought it was fine but i was wrong. My recovery doesnt recover anymore, I can get to the boot loader but unfortunately my boot loader is locked again due to the ruu I tried to use after I got a 'little' nervous.
Im basically stuck with a phone that doesn't boot. Id appreciate any and all help.
Get adb drivers for the evo 4g lte boot the phone into fastboot and reflash the recovery IMG through adb to the phone after that try and s off your evo whenever u s off it will be virtually impossible to brick this device

I dont mean to sound like a noob.
I have re unlocked my device with twrp on it. Secondly do you have a link to the correct software? and the process on how to properly flash that back onto my phone?
Thank you!!
If u have it unlocked with recovery then u can re flash ROM but to be safe u should s off the device that way if u do ever flash a ROM it will automatically update your boot.IMG

If you want to go back totally stock you can use the VipeRUU tool. You must be S-off to use it.
I have one more question, can i flash this without a kernel? or do i have to use the gui to flash the kernel first then flash over the rom? or is any of that correct?
Well i cannot link it but its the 4.2.2 cyangenmod

You can use Flash Image GUI or you can fastboot flash the kernel. Click the link in my sig-I have a guide for installing kernels while S-on.

Bought "bricked" HTC One - missig build.prop

Hi there,
I bought a "bricked" HTC One (T-Mo) today for cheap. I am trying to revive this thing. I have adb and the SDK installed, the phone shows up in adb devices.
It has Clockwork mod recovery. S-On, unlocked, tampered. Rebooting cold freezes on the HTC logo, but I can get into recovery.
I found the 4.4.2 OTA zip and when I adb sideload the zip and try to install, it says:
"file_getprop: failed to stat "/system/buld.prop" : No such file or directory
E: Error in /tmp/update/zip
What should I do now? I've tried many things, none work.
Thanks.

Tried that, didn't work. The RUU utility errors out. I never see the progress bar on the black HTC screen and it throws an error with a "recovery" option only.
The guy told me he "didn't realize it was running a custom ROM" when he installed the 4.4.2 OTA. This "broke" the phone he said.
I downloaded United_Advance_v6.1.0.zip ROM and it appears to be doing more, but has been stuck at the "Writing Data & System" step for over 10 minutes. I didn't get the build.prop error, however, but it's just frozen.
I wiped everything, including DALVIK prior to sideloading the ROM.
Is there a 4.4.2 RUU? It's not on HTC's site.
I tried this one, didn't work at all:
RUU_M7_UL_JB43_SENSE50_MR_TMOUS_3.24.531.3_Radio_4A.21.3263.03_10.38m.1157.04_release_336982_signed_2(2)

Nice. If you do, please post or PM me. I'm close to getting this thing working.
BTW, I'm on a Macbook running Windows 8.1 via bootcamp (not virtualized). It works fine for everything...but I got to thinking, would the USB 3.0 ports be causing an error with the RUU update utility? I hope not as I don't have access to a USB 2.0 machine...

Try "fastboot oem lock" run the RUU again.
I would flash the corresponding firmware first then flash the RUU.
Unlock bootloader, install custom recovery + root, s-off and load 1.44 hboot, finally make superCID and flash RUU

How can you s-off Hboot 1.56, I'm running into similar problem. Tried to convert to GPE after T-Mobile OTA KitKat was installed. Now can't go back to stock or s-off. I think that the OTA updated the hboot to 1.56 which is not supported by either rumrunner or Firewater. The only way out for me was installing CM11 with CW Recovery. Thoughts?

Can you give an update as to whether or not you were able to resolve your problem? The reason I ask is because I happened to run into a similar problem when I downgraded from 4.4 to 4.3 on my HTC one.
I can confirm that rumrunner does work on Hboot 1.56 and I actually should have all of the files necessary for you to be able to get your phone back up and running. Feel free to reply or send me a PM anytime and I will gladly help you get your phone running again

MK2 Loki method?

Hi everyone so i originally had the 4.3 Hyperdrive rom flashed on my S4 but then i saw the GE 4.4.2 and wanted to flash it to my phone. i am new to the s4 area since i just upgraded from my GNex. but is there a way to get TWRP working right for the MK2 version as well as getting a loki method to work so i can flash the GE 4.4.2? when i try to install TWRP from GooManager it says it installs but when i press reboot to recovery it kicks it into download mode and says "cant boot up normally". any ideas or help? thanks

I can't speak of sprint S4's as this is a verizon forum. Somebody else maybe able to comment but on verizon S4 there is no loki exploit in firmware after MDK was released.

If you are on sprint... I think a few people were having better luck using Odin to flash Philz (cwm)
That's what I did on my other s4 (sprint )
Cf auto root, then Odin Philz . worked like a charm.

I can also say that Philz just seemed to work better for me on that phone. Not sure if Knox had anything Ru so with it. You may want to Odin back to stock, then Odin Philz. Just my opinion

OK I was going off your profile which says sprint.
No you can't downgrade.
You can root and use SafeStrap. Luckily there are now quite a few SS Roms out there for your phone. They will only be Touchwiz however.

You won't be able to flash any 4.4 TW Roms until Verizon pushes that ota out and devs get those Roms working.

Im with ya there. I prefer aosp myself not TW. Well the only option really for you would to either get a dev s4 or a MDK s4 off swappa. And sell the one you have now. There are some nice tw Roms that give the feel of aosp but its still TW.
Anyways... That's what I did. Sold my mj7 S4 and grabbed an mdk one. If you ask me the Dev edition is just to much money.

You can check out Eclipse or foxhound diamond dogs they both are touchwiz but have the looks of aosp

+1 for eclipse, be sure to get the most updated version on his own website. His ROM has touchwizz base but its heavily themed to look like aosp.
