Fastest app to wirelessly transfer files from phone to PC - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am moving on to a new phone and I need to transfer large files from my phone to my PC using my home network. Actually it's only 3 folders... Whatsapp, Photos and Music but each is about 3gb. My usb connection to my PC is unstable and it randomly drops.

You can try kies air from samsung , I use it daily.

gaming with same data on different devices

say, i wanna play gta 3 on my phone and after a while i switch to my tab and go off where i left off with my phone
is there any app or way that shares the same game data on different devices?
If you're rooted you could copy the data folder from /data/data/ then blue tooth it, then paste it.

Sync with Mac OS X

Hello! How well does a Galaxy S3 play with Mac OS X? I saw that Kies is avaliable for Mac OS X, so syncing multimedia shouldn't be a problem. But are there any problems or missing features I should be aware of?
Thanks, zlayaa
Kies works fine. Or just use android file explorer which is a free download and your phone shows up as a usb and you can drag and drop.
Also Kies allows to sync music pics and videos as well as backup of apps so I guess it does have everything

I think there is also Easy Sync to migrate your possible iOS phone data to your S3. It also enables using one of your iTunes backups.

You can also drag and drop items from iTunes into Kies...movies, music, playlists, etc.
Tapped That

No way, Macs are far superior
I hope it helps. I have posted a way to sync all your music and playlists from itunes into your ext-SD card of your GS3 wired (usb cable much faster than wifi). I have included it into a thread called "why can't sync my music playlist " (samsung Galaxy S III I9300> Galaxy S III Q&A)
Cheers,

Won't connect to windows 7

Kies can see its connected but there is no file transfer and no sync.
If i go into windows explorer it can see the phone, but again no transfer.
On the phone its self i get "connected as a media device" pop up, and then disappear.
I've tried reinstalling kies but no luck
Is it just my phone?
use Kies Air.

Looks cool but it must be connected to same network (192.168.1.xx)!
I dont really know if you want it to immediately install, but if you dont then use some cloud storage etc. Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and then download it to your phone. But if you want it to be immediately installed after you send it then I am afraid I cant help you.
I think the best way would be some kind ofvpn network way to remote control Your phone

I Will agree with the cloud storage options.
They are easy to set up and is flexible.

Yes! Omg. You guys lack the answer he wants! You log in to the play store on your computer, using the same info as on your phone. Then, find the app you want on your computer and click install. Choose your device, and bam. Done.

that is what i want! But i want to send any apk that way!
Well, if you could upload your apk to there, that would be the best way. You might have to design your own app, unless you can figure out a way to adb over the internet, then you could use adb push and adb install.
Other than that, you have to make your own api for it. And it would only work on rooted phones.

Hello, on my Xperia Tablet S, if there a way I can remotely transfer files from my tablet to my PC? I know there is probably some app I can download, but I just didn't know if there was a way to do that without downloading a specific app?

If you mean transfer files between a tablet and computer via wireless Ethernet or Bluetooth, use an app like ES File Explorer.
Okay I will try that out. I was thinking of using a PC I setup as a server just to store mp3's/photos/docs etc and then transfer back and forth from tablet to PC. I will try the app you suggested as well. Thanks
