[Q] Cannot boot without charging at all - Motorola Droid RAZR

My razr cannot boot at all without charging.
There's no reaction at all. No Logo, No Bootanimation etc..
If it boots with charging, it just said 'Battery Low'
So, I tried with my factory cable but there's no reaction at all.
How can I charge my razr or fix it?

first; Try another adapter and plug.
may be due to custom rom

I tried.

I think there's no problem with charge adapter.

[Q] Help Please. Droid Razr stuck in boot loop!!

I have a droid razr that I rooted back in october when I first came out. It has worked perfectly fine up until last night when out of no where is just powered down and restarted. Once it restarted I realized it wasn't making it past the splash screen(if that's what it is called) and then reboots. It does this over and over. I downloaded Gingerbread 2.3.5 CDMA Droid Razr XT912 Verizon USA [Fastboot Files] and RSDlite so I could get my phone back to stock. Well before I was able to get into the fastboot loader my phone's battery ended up dieing. I plug it in to charge and it shows an empty battery with a question mark in the middle of it. Some please help cause I don't know if my battery is even taking a charge or if there is a better method to getting this fixed.
How long have you let it sit on the charger? You need a factory cable from team black hat. Google it. Not sure if they have any left out of this batch though.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
You can also make a charging cable if your so inclined, instructions are around here somewhere.
Edit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077414
I was able to get a charge on it but when i get to the fastboot flash mode screen down below it says device is LOCKED. Not sure if that effects anything but when I tried to flash my phone using rsd lite it didn't work. It failed
Same thing happened to me when in RSDLite. I just restarted the computer and phone and it worked.
I tried rebooting and I still get the failed message in the rsdlite 5.6

I think there are 2 fast boot menus. Get to that screen again and hit volume down until you see "AP Fast boot" or something like that. Then hit volume up. Try RSD again.

No, you can purchase the cable from "Team Black Hat". The factory cable allows you to flash on RSD Lite without requiring your phone to have battery charge.

[Q] Help!! Phone will not turn on

Symptoms:
1. Hitting power does nothing
2. Power + down volume does nothing
3. Plugging into AC power = no green light
4. Plugging into USB (computer) power = green light (which stays on after unplugging)
I have:
1. Tried battery and SD card pull while plugged in and not plugged in
2. A friends BH5X battery
3. Leaving the battery out for an hour
4. Leaving it charge via the Motorola AC adapter over night
I am out of ideas. Something else that may help... when the phone died I plugged it in (AC) and it rebooted to the recovery menu. I hit reboot, and since then it will not power on... or charge apparently.

Had a coworker charge my battery in his Droid X to 80% before he had to leave. I don't know what his battery was charged to in his phone, but I tried his as well with the same results. Does it have to be charged to 100%?

My battery will boot my coworkers Droid X. When it died it shutdown due to low battery. I plugged it into AC power... it booted up to recovery, and I hit reboot from the menu... after that it is completely unresponsive.

If the battery worked on your coworkers droid X then its not your battery. Which means its hardware or software related. Were you running any roms or anything or were you completely stock?

Yes, it should. Or if you had bootstrap on there (which you should if you flashed stuff) it would boot into that if you turned the phone on when the phone was plugged in. Its really hard to say what it is when your phone simply died of low battery and now wont boot. I'm just as stumped as you right now since you pretty much tried everything I would have.

Yeah when I said it booted to recovery I meant the bootstrap recovery. Since it won't boot I guess I don't have to worry about VZW finding out it was rooted... lol. Maybe I can get them to replace it.

No, and it will not power on... just green light... which stays on even after disconnecting it from the usb.
I did some more googling and reading. Then came across the Factory style programming cable.
So you flashed your phone and now it thinks the battery is dead (even though it's not) and it won't let you flash it again to fix it? Or, your battery really is dead and you don't have a way to charge it because your phone is soft-bricked and won't charge the battery. What do you do?
With this cable you don't even need a battery in your phone. This is our clone of what is generally referred to as a Motorola "Factory Cable".
Unlike a normal USB cable these cables are wired in a way that compatible Motorola phones recognize as a "factory" programming cable. This allows the phone to power up and be flashed without having a battery in the phone. Depending upon the model of the phone, it may also boot up differently than it does with a normal USB cable.

If you can get to bootstrap why not just use a card reader throw eclipse or some rom on your micro which should have come with an sd adaptor and just reflash from bootstrap?

It won't power on at all... that's why I need the factory cable... it doesn't require a battery.
Well, I finally got that factory programming cable. That didn't power the phone on either... it did power on my fiancee's droid 2 with no battery in it though. I figured the phone was completely hosed (also noticed the battery bulging a bit), so I got a warranty replacement. Since I couldn't even get it to boot with the programming cable I have no doubt VZW will not waste any time trying to repair it... at least I hope that's what they will do.
If a lithium ion battery begins to bulge it can be dangerous if not replaced. This is rare but with these batteries if one were defective it could reach 1.5V per cell during use. This would render the battery unchangeable and its discharge would cause the copper plating to create a short circuit in the cellphone.

Is it dead ?
so, if you can see the green led you can flash your Atrix. Turn RSD first and then plug in your atrix with vol+ button, probably you will be able to run flash process with SBF file
Cant get AT&T RSD files
here you go, google won't hurt you

OK, i downloaded everything.
But i can't get the phone identified by RSD Lite on pc.
The phone just shows green led when it connected to PC and that's it.
Pushing the up\down volume key+power doesn't help....
Atrix is visiable in RSD n your PC?
NO
Buy an external battery charger. Charge battery then try again.

I really messed this up!

I have a rooted Droid RAZR (spyder) and I installed cyanogenmod on it. There was a gapps error and I deleted everything off of it. I didn't know the screen was on and just black so the battery drained. I have put it on the charger all night and it still holds a 10 second charge. I have the stock ROM on my desktop and I want to flash it via ADB. The problem is that it will not let me get into recovery mode then the sideboot thing. It just shuts off. Please help!!! I want to know what to do!
EDIT- When I plug it in, all it shows is the Motorola logo. It's been 4 minutes since I plugged it in the wall.

You say that it only holds a ten second charge, how have you determined that? You see the motorola symbol then nothing, or you are watching it shut itself down? You charged it with a wall charger correct?
So you cannot get in to stock recovery? Or you cannot get into custom recovery? This is a xt912 right?

It is approximate, the 10 seconds. When it is on a wall charger, all I see is the motorola logo. When connected to my PC, I see the Motorola logo, then nothing. A white (sort of) flash comes on, that is how I know it shuts off. I can get it in to stock, but not for long. I deleted the custom recovery when I deleted everything. This is a xt912.

At this point I would suggest you try to make sure it is off, and let it stay on the wall charger to charge for a couple of hours.
The motorola logo showing means that the bootloader is working but since you don't have anything for it to boot up, it can't do anything.
Download matlgrof's script utility for the xt912 while you are waiting for the phone to charge. If you can get the device to charge, use his utility to reflash fresh xt912 firmware and you will also be able to root it. then install safestrap 3.65 or 3.72 (whichever one you have.) If you had backups you will be able to restore them. The phone being charged is very very important with matlgrof's tool, if the battery goes dead while it is flashing, it will brick your phone.
If you can't get the phone to charge, then you will have to make/buy a motorola factory cable, and flash xt912 firmware via
RSD Lite.

So, if the phone is off, and you plug it in, the logo comes on and stays on? Have you tried power volume down without the charger plugged in. My device always gets hinky if I am trying to access stock recovery with anything plugged into usb port, I have to access what I want, then plug the phone in.

Charge the phone with a PC will take forever to get a decent charge. You will have to do it with a wall outlet and a regular charger, and it will still take hours.
I had same issue. Just leave it charged for a good while. Then, while still plugged I into charger, he hold power+vol⬆+vol⬇. When menu pops up disconnect then connect it to computer via USB to run whatever recovery tool you choose. Also the white led is no big deal. Just get a good connection with the charger and let it charge for a while
