If i flash 4.4.2 rom, and i want to go back to 4.3. It is safe to flash or is imposible to revert to 4.3?
I read that note3 is imposible to revert to 4.3 because of knox.

You are right. Once you flash any 4.4.2 firmware containing the Knox bootloader you will not be able to downgrade to 4.3 without triggering the Knox counter and once it is triggered your warranty is void forever (as of now). There is no means to reset the Knox counter as for now like you reset your binary counter using Triangle Away. But if you like 4.4.2 firmware you can still flash it but without the Knox bootloader. Don't use Kies or OTA to update. Download the firmware from www.sammobile.com and extract the rom .tar.md5 file and remove the Knox bootloader and repack it again to .tar.md5 file and flash it using Odin.

Galaxy S3 does not contain KNOX. And according to Samsung it will never do.

Just to be sure. Does this mean it has no traces of Knox including boot loader and the warranty flag? If so, the second last line in download mode. This was on my GT-I9305

I'm very sure it has Knox, even rooted it but Knox prevented the super user app from gaining root access. But very weird on Samsung side, both identical to each other under the same name except for the LTE and one will have and the other doesn't have.

Your phone is the LTE version of SIII. And as per your screen shots, it has the KNOX bootloader. If you try to flash anything, note my words, anything then the KNOX warranty will be void forever. It now there is no way to reset the KNOX counter. Don't try to flash anything if your phone is still under warranty. Forget about flashing custom ROMs even rooting will trigger the KNOX counter.

NO IT DOES NOT. Do you have no idea what root is for?
Here is a nice overview for you:
Getting root or rooting your phone is the process of modifying the operating system that shipped with your device to grant you complete control over it.
This means you can overcome limitations that the carriers and manufacturers put on your phone, extend system functionality, and even upgrade it to a custom flavor of Android.
The name root comes from the Linux operating system world, where the most privileged user on the system (otherwise known as Administrator on Windows) is called root.
Root DOES NOT speed up your phone, which you should have realised when you read the description of root. Root allows you flash a new ROM, which is a new GUI of your phone, or a new kernel, which MAY make your phone faster in certain aspects, especially if you overclock your phone.
By the way, I found the root description by simply typing into google "root for android explained" if you get confused again...
Chris.
Thanks ....

Hi
We have the same firmware and I have rooted my phone. It's easy as long as you take it patiently and read things regarding the procedure so you don't mess with your priced possession.
Go to galaxys2root.com- Find the article "How to root Galaxy s2". This is a step by step process with video as well as pictures so that you won't get lost in the process. The links on this site will still get you here @ xda forum so it's legit and this is what I used to root my device. Please read it carefully and refer to the pictures each time you finished the steps needed.
And if you want to download your "Official Firmware" just in case you want to go back and have your warranty at sammy service centers just go to INTRATECH's post here @ xda and download it then flash it via odin. Remember you also need to have a "usb jig" to erase traces that you have made in your device. If the link of Official Firmware @ Intratech's post won't make you download it because it is broken (last time I did I can't download it) then go to samfirmware.com.
Im totaly confused cuz i dnt want to lose my warranty... Maybe ill wait for the ics... It will be better

"The previously leak was version UCLC5. The following build is UCLD3. This is a major bug fix build, so there are no new features. Those who are testing this build out say it’s smoother than ever, although Instagram still doesn’t work. Without further ado, use the guide below to flash the new leak onto your SGH-I717."
Cool.. new leak :-D getting closer to official... then kernel sources and we even have init.d injection from another member... things are getting juicy personally waiting on a CWM version/ROM by a known dev using this base before I test drive it. Neat none the less and glad cwm/root are attainable without modification after Odin.

I'd still call your provider about getting a possible warranty... if the screen were 'broken' you could get a warranty replacement, so I'm sure that's not what he's suggesting is wrong with your phone. It seems like just a defect of the phone... if it's not causing any problems now, it might in the future... it's hard to say what'll happen but regardless, if you have a warranty the provider is obligated to replace the phone with one that works properly Good luck!

My phone came back from repairs after "sudden death syndrome" with a new motherboard and freshly-flashed stock firmware; UNROOTED mind you, but sporting the red mark on the screen. Although it was rooted when it died, I can't imagine what component would have been left in the phone to reveal the fact it had been rooted.
So, no: I'm pretty sure it's not root-related. I think it's just a 'feature' of newer boards.
When did your friend get his s3? Because i think devices from soke point have upgraded bootloader which uses that method to show you are rooted, meanwhile my device (bought it in july) doesnt have that yet, maybe study little bit and flash old bootloader, but its risky...

I have same experience... If u root & flash custom roms than the red mark will appear.. If u just wanna root means that just flash cf auto root using odin on stock rom than install triangle away & reset the counter.. After that the red mark will dissappear... Note that cf auto root not include recovery.. It's just root ur phone... If even though u flash chain fire root 6. 4 its include with recovery so u can't reset the counters when ur phone have recovery on ur stock rom

Idk if it updates bootloader via ota (most likely not), dont upgrade via kies, but if you bought it with new bootloader, only method is to downgrade it manually (via odin)

you have installed the UK's firmware but the CSC code is still KOR(Korea), change that if necessary. relevent information not provided about the problem!! try to explain properly..
How do I change the CSC code?
The problem was that I would rather do the update through kies than odin, but I cant do it through kies because of my CSC being different.

There used to be a code you could use on you phone but that no longer works, you can always remove root after you have done it.
Does it wipe your phone doing it or not?

Would my phone still do OTA update if my CSC is different?

If you have stock rom not rooted then you will get OTA you wont get OTA if you have a rooted phone only kies, but kies has to see your rom correctly so you need to change the CSC

Rooting and Un-Rooting will not wipe your phone data.
Don't use the root method from my signature though unless you are doing it on a SGS3 if it's a Nexus 7, check in that forum for rooting / un-rooting tools.
As you have two different signatures for these posts.
Ok ive messed around for ages now and I still can't get Kies to update my phone
I've gone back to 4.1.2 Device status as Normal and Kies still says NOPE U AINT UPDATING ON HERE
Does anyone know why it wont update?
Is it still the CSC?
And why doesn't it install the full Rom including the CSC when doing full BTU UK flash
OK
From he post above which CSC would I Download from http://androidfirmwares.net/PhoneCSC3 to make the csc the same as AP and CP
