Recently I had downloaded that file and unzip it normally without password and any problems.
You can read my history of flashing xt909: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50559788
Try to flash xt912 firmware. I think it can help you. And don't do like me: don't flash xt910's 4.1.2 firmware.

C78P radio had some issues & there was a problem with text messaging, this can solve text messaging issues, this Radio is stronger than 78P, also this Radio is from 2.3.6 OTA update,
And yes cheekrox, u can flash it on your rooted stock rom

Your radios can be inserted into the EternityProject ROMs Thread as they, yup, they're unofficial packages, but flashing official radios.
We should only be sure that those packages are working.

Hi there:
I when through and flash the 85P in the Latin America firmware from Brasil that is posted in the forum. The flash apparently did when through, the phone rebooted, enter the recovery mode with the little android, it changed to a triangle with an exclamation sign and later on rebooted just fine and I have signal. In the about phone, the baseband number still appears as the old one. Is that a sign that the flash does not indeed when through, or it is just a build.pro thing. Any code on the dialer to check what baseband is running on the phone??
[Q] # fastboot flash radio new_radio.img ? YES YOU CAN! :)
Is it possible to use Android SDK's tool; fastboot ?
Of course the RAZR is in AP Fastboot mode. . I am only using GNU/Linux and usually I use the fastboot tool to flash my N1's radio.
Example
Code:
# fastboot flash radio new_radio.img
Updates:
YES! I able to flash the radio with the fastboot method.
Anyway, do it at your own risk!.
Thank you.

Sure, you can do that,
After unzipping the file, rename the radio file to "radio.img",
Then go on with "fastboot flash radio radio.img"
Sent from my XT910 using Tapatalk
I flashed it with fastboot but same thing happen. I got a ok sending and writing radio at cmd and the phone booted to the little android screen. The bar started to fill up, at haft of it the icon changed to a triangle with an exclamation point. After some second it rebooted and in the about I still have the same old baseband information from the Latin American Fastboot file that is here in the forums, not the new one as 85P.

Please add the fastboot method in your 1st post.
2nd question:
Is it possible to downgrade the firmware after installing higher version of the firmware.
Example:
If my current radio firmware version is ...78P and upgraded to 85P. Then, I want to downgrade to 73P again... is this possible?
Tips:
To make life easier, you can put the RAZR directly into AP Fastboot mode using # adb reboot bootloader while the RAZR is up running.
In my case, after the fastbott flash ... RAZR displayed the Android robot and open box, with progress bar. After few minutes, it restarted normally.
Remember to md5sum the radio.img file before flashing. The md5 value is in the .xml file.

[HOWTO] Recover Razr, from bad flash, corrupted ROM using RSD lite and Fastboot

So I have recently Flashed ARCTIC ROM and it all went bad, was stuck and bootloop and forgot to flash CWM recovery, so only had access to Motorola Recovery. After lots of research and time I managed to fix my phone here is how:
PLEAS BE AWARE: This is for GSM Droid Razr XT910, if you are using a CDMA Razr, you will need a different Fastboot file.
Download this fastboot file on your pc & extract the file:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts...stboot.xml.zip
Then download RSD lite from here & install it on your pc:
https://www.box.com/...6p1ll45svunalr3
Install moto drivers on your pc here it is:
https://www.box.com/...it95qz8yjunedrg
*********************
Now open the Rsd lite on pc, browse an XML file that you extracted from fastboot files and put it on rsd,
Turn of your phone, click on vol- vol+ & power buttons at the same time, now you entered to boot menu,
Select Ap fastboot (vol- to scroll & vol+ to select)
Then connect phone to the pc via usb port,
When you see "connected" in rsd lite, click on start key on rsd & be patient to flashing fastboot files, it takes about 7-8 minutes. If you get an error, it means you have the wrong fastboot file, you must have the original fastboot file you had on your phone, ie UK must flash UK fastboot, EU must flash EU version etc.
Thank you zeidof for all your help, who told me how to do this!

for people looking for fastboot to use in the guide above:

How about mac users? I think the do not need drivers right?
If you use safestrap recovery you have a better chance of not bricking your phone. It works awesome and recommend to anybody who flashes roms a lot. Im not too sure if it works for xt910, but it works awesome on my xt912.

Help!!!!!! I think my droid razr is bricked!!!!!

Okay so i fixed the battery problem on my last thread and i got the factory cable and charged it to 100 percent. So i flashed the fastboot file. It worked but it keeps getting to the droid eye and then freezes and then it restarts the boot animation. HELP! what do i do? oh and i have the verizon xt912 razr
You have matching rom and kernel? That usually causes that kind of problems.
Try reset factory defaults with recovery?
Try another suitable fastboot file?
I think that a reset to factory default ll help u.

Hey boet,
Any luck on finding a fastboot file for Korea hey?
Been searching for months
Use RSD Lite and Razr fastboot to restore phone.
Go here: rootzwiki.com/topic/13566-droid-razr-fastboot-file/
download
2.3.6 VRZ_XT912_6.5.1-167_DHD-14_M2-5_CFC_1FF_01.xml.zip
and
RSD Lite 5.6
Extract .zip file. Follow instructions from site above to run RSD Lite with phone in AP Fastboot mode; flash .xml file.
To get into AP Fastboot mode. Hold down both Volume up and Volume down simultaneously. With both volume buttons held down press power button.
Select AP Fastboot with volume down key. Then press volume up key to select AP Fastboot.
*If you get OEM Warning when running RSD Lite. You need to extract .zip file and find .xml file. Open and remove oem lines from file and then re-run in RSD Lite and select .xml file.
*Here is another unbrick guide:

- Put your Razr in fastboot mode.
- With the Terminal, go to the directory where is the "radio.img"
- Enter the command:
fastboot flash radio radio.img

droid rarz utility 1.7
rsd lite
fastboot.exe or any fastboot command line tool
and some patience
1st - extract droid razr utility and find the mbmloader named " allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm"
2nd - enter fastboot and flash the mbm... here's how
( fastboot.exe flash mbmloader allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin)
3rd - reboot
( fastboot.exe reboot-bootloader)
4th - erase the Contact I.D No.
(fastboot.exe erase cid) (fastboot.exe reboot-bootloader)
of course with a erased CID you'll never be able to turn on your phone into normal mode but still can gain access to fastboot
5th - download and flash the XT912 fastboot file

Are you Encode from twit?
The problem is you flashed an ICS Rom. Try that first:
Boot into stock recovery and perform a factory reset. If it boots, ok. If it doesn't boot you should flash Jelly Bean. Just grab that one from VZW at sbf.droid-developers.org.
DON'T FLASH EU JB! Otherwise you won't be able to DOWNGRADE or switch to another region rom because it has the highest secure version compared to all others.
This is VZW JB: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/cdma_spyder/cdma_spyder_9.8.2O-72_VZW-16_1ff.xml.zip
