Sim unlock usually don't matter which phone its in.
The SIM only is locked.
Try using the wrong password untill it requests for PUK code, then get your PUK code handy.
Usually sim providers can give you your PUK code.
UNLESS YOU STOLE IT
Then you're a nigga**** !
XD

Let me know if it helps.

I want to use my phone with a vodafone SIM, but the phone is locked to T-Mobile.
Of course i know the PUK code I did not stole the phone or the SIM card
With this method I can use the phone with my Vodafone SIM?
The phone is rooted by the way.
When I enter my PIN code for the SIM, the phone asks for the network unlock code. That is my problem. And I can't use it with my Vodafone SIM card
Any solution for this?

No worries mate.
So first to download is the original firmware.
Go here -> http://www.samsungis.com/Firmwares/GT-S7275R.html
Choose based on country+mobile.
Hover the mouse over the words and it will show the country name if you're unsure.
So for example im in Malaysia and the latest firmware is XME, S7275RXXUANA3.
Once downloaded, the file is a single file. Extact it and you'll get an md5 file.
Use whatever odin version u have. I used odin 3.07
And select 'PDA' only. Then go to the downloaded file.
Proceed with flashing. Click start and wait for the phone to be installed.
Once install, phone should be brand new.
If phone stuck at boot screen, enter recovery and wipe cache and partition.
Let me know how it goes. !

I cannot confirm if the phone will be unlocked. But its worth a try.
But many websites charge you to get it unlocked and im not sure if there's a cheaper method.
But i can confirm that there is no CWM recovery for our phone yet.
Its the normal samsung official recovery i was speaking of.
Turn off phone, press 3 buttons at once (On/off button + home button + volume up button) .

Use ChimeraTool. It supports.

Hi - those firmware links are now dead (not the website, but the download links within that). Any alternative locations? Thanks, Geoff

Note: Flashing different firmware will NOT unlock a phone that is locked to a particular service providers sim you will need to get the unlock code from your provider or from one of the online services.
There are several online providers that can unlock GT-S7275 series phones online. The best ones will use a client software package that you download and install on your computer. You then need to pay them for the unlock before you can unlock the phone. Part of the process is changing your phone to Diag mode by setting the USB to DM+MODEM+ADB this is done by dialing *#0808# however on some S7275 Phones like the Telstra Australia GT-S7275Y dialing this code will not access the needed menu however it can still be accessed.
For Telstra Australia GT-S7275Y and similar phones you need to open the stock calculator app and type (+30012012732+ (note that the ( and the + signs must be typed) this will then open the Factory Mode dialler you can then type *#0808# and the menu will appear.
Don't forget to put your phone back to MTP+ADB (the default setting after unlocking).

Just because it shows the 3 welcome screen doesn't mean it's not unlocked, just branded. If you continue past the welcome screen, are you sure your Orange SIM doesn't work? If so, what method did you use to SIM-unlock it?
Thx a lot for the reply.
Initially i have used Chainfrie's Galaxy S2 sim unlock. but didn't work. Then i have used Helroze's Galaxy_S unlock. After that i pressd *#7465625# it says
Network lock OFF
Network Subset lock OFF
SP Lock OFF
By this way i believe its unlocked. But dont know its really unlocked.
Cheers
Tony
Branded means network branding and add on .
Your is 3 branded
Locked means locked to a network unlocked and it will work on any network .
#
Not recognize sim first question has to be does it reconize any other sim .Second question have you entered the network settings for orange ???

Only two possible answers left .
One you have not entered your networks settings or they are wrong .
If you have then phone is not unlocked .
Simple test .
Phone works with original sim = software OK .
Other sim works in another phone = sim ok
Phone works on another network sim after network setting have been entered if not then its not unlocked phone .
jje
thx for all your support. its working now
Hello
i have rooted my phone because i need to use a different sim. Because i was with 3 it wont let me to use a different sim even after rooting and unlocking it.
The only way if u want to use a different sim is to flash a unbranded official uk firmware on it.Because even if u unlocked the phone after rooting all the bloat ware and the fiemware from 3 wont let u use any other sim (i mean in my case.) but make sure u have already backed up the current firmware before flashing a new firmware.
Please use method only if u bold enough to do it. because if u done anything wrong it may void the warranty. Please do all this in your own risk, to overcome this use a jig u can buy from ebay. or goole it or there is lots of information about this in you tube to reset the flash counter
I will explain what i did to my phone
Step1, Rooted my phone using the method described in android authority and firmware xwlp7 which is described on the above site. here is the link for it please copy and paste on your browser then u will see the method how to do it.
http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...xMSnBw&usg=AFQjCNEAJtIUKzYLRTUMggMwJWe2V-SseA
Step 2,Once u have rooted Get the sim unlock apps from Google play, in my case the Chain fires one didn't work, use this app only once, if u use it more than once u r phone may get locked. Then i have tried Helroz's Galaxy_S Unlock and it did worked. You can check this by typing *#7465625# in u r dial pad once the app run and if u r phone is unlocked it will say sim lock 'OFF'.
But at this stage my phone wasn't working with my other orange sim . The reason was the phone was still on 3 uk firmware that's why the phone wont let me to use any other sim. So i need to find a unbranded original firm ware close to XWLP7 which was my original firmware because i don't really want to try any other firm ware.
So i have found that carphone warehouse uk was using XWLP7 firmware in their sgs2 which is same as mine. Because phones from carphone ware house can use any sim i thought this may work with any sim on my phone as well, You can get this from SAMWARE site where u can find all the firmwares for sgs2, new and old. This site is free and only need a registration. Down load it and extract it in to a folder(tar file). Once you are in the site look for the carphone ware house uk's firmware. I hope you are in Ice cream sandwich 4.0.3
Step 3, Before flashing this do a back up of your current firmware just in case if anything goes wrong , u can flash back. U can do that in recovery mode, (Turn your phone off, turn it back on again by pressing volup+home+power) U have options there to back up, once you done the back up of original firmware in the reoverymode
Step 4, Do a factory wipe/ reset
Step 5, Do a cache wipe as well on the recovery mode this will help u to do a fresh start.
Step 6, Tun the phone off again and turn it on back on down load mode( vol down+home+power button)
Step 7, Start odin which you have used to root the phone in step 1 then connect the phone using the usb cable and odin will recognise your phone (yellow colour on the left hand corner of the odin page) Once this is seen on the pda choose the firmware you have downloaded ( carphone ware house oen from SAMWARE) And make sure only reboot and F.reset time and pda are checked, make sure nothig else checked in the odin. Then let it run, this will take few mins and the phone will reboot.
Hope fully this time u don't see any 3 welcome screen, turn it off and try using the 3 sim first, it should work then try any other sim, in my case that was orange it did worked fine including mobile data so you don't have to change the APN settings for each network provider.
Thanks for the xda develpers, android authority and samware for all their hard work in providing lots of information.
Any doubt let me know. Please do not do anything unless you are really comfortable with
Thx
Go to any of the supermarkets and buy a PAYG sim from another network,{around £1.00}, youi don't have to register the sim to see if your phone is unlocked.
{EDIT} I see you said your coming from a iphone.... So that means its a cut down sim {micro-sim} card.
Parhaps it is not seated in the correct position.
Just a thought..
My phone is doing the exact same thing, can anybody help?
Originally on three UK. Got unlocked in a shop. Orange sim card worked fine. Restored to factory defaults to erase phone. Orange sim card no longer works, but phone is showing as unlocked. Every other network sim card works fine.
Its bugging me, took it back to the shop where i got it unlocked and the man said he had never seen anything like it.
Any help would be great. Thanks

[Q] Several Problems with i5500

Hi all,
First of all, I want to say thanks for all the help and knowledge I've found on this website - it's amazing.
I've come to you because my sister bought an i5500 from a girl who was on the Telus network in Canada. My sister is on SaskTel, and I believed I would be able to unlock it after looking at xda-dev for some time. After several hours of rooting and attempting unlock, I finally got the BML5 file and opened it in hex editor. After several more hours, I managed to locate my SIM unlock code - 01234567 (Which I find odd, by the way).
Anyway, my sister has since gotten a SIM card from SaskTel and when we insert it, no SIM code prompt appears. I then tried it with my Fido card, and it did the exact same thing - the phone acts as though there isn't any SIM card in. It does, however, state that there's no signal.
Does this mean that the phone is already unlocked? If it is unlocked, I don't know how it happened - the girl that originally owned the phone never hacked the phone or anything. If it is unlocked, why won't my Fido SIM card, or my sister's SaskTel SIM card work?
The other issue I've been having is that the phone will suddenly turn off every 5 or 10 minutes. Could it have happened when I rooted the phone? I used SuperOneClick to do it, then command prompt to pull the img file to my laptop. Did I partially brick it?
Thank you so much for any help you guys can give me; I'd like to think of myself as fairly technically apt, but at the moment, I'm completely at a loss as to how to fix this.
Again, thanks.
---------
EDIT: Found some new info: Whenever the phone restarts, the date, time, and time zone are all reset back to standard. Does this mean that the battery is shot? The phone is less than a year old...
useful thread
Well I don't know about the rebooting, but what I recommend you read this thread,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1335548
specially the last part, which states:
Most custom roms that tries to remove blur break the subsidy lock interface (sim unlock screen doesn't show on them). If you flash other rom and subsidy unlock screen doesn't pop when you insert foreign sim, you will need to flash back stock ROM in order to unlock. So the easyest way for those of you running a Custom ROM, just do a nandroid backup using CWM, flash Stock ROM, unlock your phone then restore your backup.

If you have reached the end of the tutorial and you wasn't able to obtain the unlock code( find numbers like 00000000 / 11111111 ), then it means that your phone it's "Hard Locked" or doesn't have the unlock code provided with the phone. I don't know any solution until now for this problem. For most of the people here, this works flawlessly, for some doesn't work.

Thanks for this. I used that link to root and get the code for the phone, but now I'm confused with the lack of PIN unlocking screen. Does that mean that I'm going to have to backup/flash with stock ROM? I'm totally fine with flashing it back to stock if it's not, in fact, I've looked for a stock ROM in case that was the issue. Since it's a Canadian model though, (GT-I5500M) I can't find any. There's a list somewhere on XDA with all the I5500 ROMs, but it says that there aren't any from Canada. Options? Ideas?
Thanks again for the help.
Anyone with any other ideas? Right now I'm trying to decide whether or not we should just sell the phone and get a new one, so any advice/help would be appreciated so much.

Thanks, I did, but there isn't anything for Canada on there. A new problem just cropped up: the WiFi won't turn on. So, even if I wanted to flash it with an official firmware, I don't think I could - I have to use the market to download an app to flash, right?

After flashing 4.1.2 official ROM i can't see SIM contacts

Hello, after flashing 4.1.2 official ROM i couldn't see any contancts from my SIM CARD ( I9100XXLSJ_I9100OXXLS1_OXX ).
Then with the Spain one ( I9100XWLSD_I9100FOPLS4_FOP ) i had the same issue.

I had the same problem (the phone asking for unlock code) when I flashed 4.1.2 to one of my friends S2 and what I did was:
1: Root the phone
2. Watched this video and did the same
3. Flashed back the official Firmware through Odin again.
I ended up with the S2 unlocked, and unrooted.

gt-i9300 imei correct, but sim is locked

Hi,
the problem is:
I have a galaxy s3 (i9300) which i'm not able to unlock. The *#06# shows the correct IMEI, which is printed on the label behind the battery.
I've tried editing nv_data.bin, but can't seem to find the 00181460 address.
Galaxsim says "unable to load nv data"
The problems started about a month after i upgraded to 4.4.4 (back to n00t rom). One morning the phone just kept saysing 'unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped working'
I tried reflashing it, then tried using cm13.
Everything works fine, except there's now a sim lock on my phone..
running out of ideas, so thought maybe you guys have some fresh ones.
Thanks!
The standard repair-procedure is to flash firmware by Odin.
hello, i have the same problem. i tried lot of rom to solve the problem but it don't do anything. Also flashing firmware by Odin don't work. I'm happy that i'm not alone.
sorry for my bad english.
Hello, have you ever tried to flash the stock firmware with Odin ? For me, it did not solve the problem. If someone has a solution. ..:crying:

hi, the phone is network locked.
The only method that may work to unlock the phone for free is the regionlockaway app with root and an older modem.
Was the phone ever network unlocked ?
Thanks for your answer .
Yes, the phone was network unlocked when i bought it.
i tried regionlockaway, but it don't work.
I don't know what to do.
Not sure why the phone would relock. You tried installing a stock rom?
I tried this too, but it don't worked.
I tried to change The modem, the CSC, but nothing happens, the phone remains network locked.
Did you check to make sure the phone was network unlocked when you first got it?
Yes, it was unlocked.
no network after custom rom 4.4.4
Hi all!
I also have the same problem after a cutom Rom install, >no Network, Hope you be of help as i expect XDA always do
No network is not the same as bein network locked.
If the phone can't be unlocked for free, an unlock code must be purchased.

My Gt-i9300 shows my sim as it is LycaMobile but also gives me 'Emergency calls only; so i cant call and etc... is there a way to restore it to full stock firmware ? because i also flashed baseband modem etcetera , and ididnt change to Gsm only ( i read somewhere that be a solution...?
Changing to gsm only will only give the phone data access at edge speeds.
To return to stock, flash a rom from sammobile.com using Odin.
I bought an unlocked phone to change operator when i want and i still have to pay ? Oh misery... :'(

Did you confirm the phone was network unlocked when you first got it? The phone supports your carrier's radio frequencies? SIM card works in another phone?
You can use turbosim for unlock but i dont know what happen to you. Its only suggestion.
You can't network unlock an s3 for free if it has ever been updated to 4.3.

Tmobile USA SM-G965U on Verizon Wireless

Hi, i have been trying to find an answer to this after hours of searching i've come up short and confused.
I recently switched from tmobile to verizon, and i paid off my tmobile s9+ and had it sim unlocked. When i put my verizon sim in it, nothing really happens. either it tells me that it can't register on the network or to insert a tmobile sim card.
I have tried using reset and factory reset. I have also tried the method of holding the volume bixby and power and doing a factory reset, then putting the sim in, rebooting, etc. That doesn't work either.
I see several people trying to go from verizon to tmobile, but i haven't been able to find anyone going from tmobile to verizon, and what method i need to do to get this to work, if its possible at all. Any help would be so much appreciated!

Use Odin to flash U1 and then go back to U. Just leave the SIM in. Don't use HOME CSC.

That still may not help, remember Verizon is still CDMA and the T Mobile branded phone does not have CDMA bands activated and they may not even be on the phone, I don't know. Granted band 13 should work fine, being LTE, but could the sim be looking for a CDMA radio and that is why it is not working?

The hardware is identical for all US Galaxy S9 phones. Any bands that may be missing will be resolved by flashing firmware. OP could also just stay with U1 if they want unlocked, and all bands would still be there.

As per Samsung chat support, I've asked if the dual sim version (international) will work with Verizon. I've also asked the rep if I can switch carriers with a locked phone. They said that essentially, all phones were manufactured with the CDMA and GSM band compatibility, it just needs to be unlocked and the US versions will work on any carrier in the US and the international version (dual sim) needs to be unlocked and it will work with any carrier in any country.
That said, it seems that you're just having an unlocking issue - which is good and bad. I hope you figure this out. Try using Odin 3.13, get the CORRECT firmware for U1 or U(VZW) to flash your phone

Only one small correction to what they told you: The 965F (international), will not have CDMA capabilities. That might not be a problem on some US carriers. But if you can't get VoLTE working on VZW with 965F, then you're dead in the water, since you don't have 1x CDMA calling to fall back on. It becomes a data-only device. I don't have experience with it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the VoLTE doesn't work on US carriers. For GDM/WCDMA carriers, you'd probably be just fine with 965F. Even if VoLTE doesn't work, you'd still be able to call.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, any idea where to get these? I'm seeing all kinds of universal stuff and people saying carrier specific don't exist, etc etc. If you happen to know i'd be extremely grateful

Step 1
Can you find out the exact model number?
For T-Mobile, it will be one of these :
SM-G965UZKATMB (Midnight Black)
SM-G965UZBATMB (Coral Blue)
SM-G965UZPATMB (Lilac Purple)
The U is the important part, as a previous poster explained that the F models do not have CDMA support (forget what that actually means, just know its necessary for verizon)
Step 2
Next, make sure that the carrier version is correct.
Example: SM-G965UZKATMB
BST Boost
VZW Verizon
ATT ATT
USC US Cellular
ACG C Spire
TMK MetroPCS
VMU Virgin Mobile
TFN Tracfone
XAS Sprint
TMB T-Mobile
XAA Unlocked US
SPR Sprint
CCT Xfinity Mobile
Essentially, you need the firmware that starts with SM-G965U and ends with VZW
Step 3
I'm not 100% sure on how to flash from carrier to carrier but there will be a list of directions. You may need to do some research there to see if it will void samsung warranty (aka 'trip knox') or anything like that, if that matters to you. I think only a modified version of Odin will be able to do this.
Download Odin v3.13.1
Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 5 files:
AP (System & Recovery)
BL (Bootloader)
CP (Modem / Radio)
CSC_OXM (OXM CSC file, will wipe your phone)
HOME_CSC_OXM (OXM CSC file, will NOT wipe your phone)
Add each file to it's respective field in Odin v3.13.1. Use CSC_OXM if you want to do a clean flash and HOME_CSC OXM if you want to keep your apps and data.
Reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode with the following button combo: POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
Once in download mode, connect your phone to the PC, preferably using the original USB cable you got with your phone. Odin should detect your device and a blue box will show up with the COM port number.
Do NOT tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
Click the start button, wait for Odin to say 'PASS'. Once the flash is complete, your phone will reboot.

Step 4
To download firmwares, google "SAMMOBILE website: /firmwares/galaxy-s9-plus/SM-G965U"
Looks like the latest verizon firmware is here: SAMMOBILE website /firmwares/galaxy-s9-plus/SM-G965U/VZW/download/G965USQS2ARF4/223287

Hey thanks a bunch, I’ll give this a shot when I get home tonight. It very well may be that the rom I got wasn’t the right one. Other threads I’ve read seemed to indicate that everything was universal now and by having the SIM card in the phone while flashing, it would download the carrier specific stuff automatically. That part at least doesn’t appear to be the case since the phone wouldn’t accept it. But I’ll download some of the carrier specifics and see what happens. Thanks again!
Did you get it to work after all?
Sorry that i forgot to update! I did get it working, but it required a bit more discussion and help on a reddit discussion someone started. I noticed that someone asked this exact question and i pointed him to this thread where he was able to get it working, then helped me with which roms he used, and i got it working as well! I've been using it daily for almost a month now. Thanks so much for everyones help, i hope that if anyone else is trying to do this, between the two threads it can help. Heres the link to the reddit thread https://old.reddit.com/r/verizon/comments/909iag/tmobile_s9_on_verizon/

Awesome gigatigga - thanks for getting back. I'm on the verge of trying this. I owe some money on my S9 plus on t-mobile but before i paid it off wanted to make sure all is good.
How are the speeds? Everything working ok? Thanks again! :good::good:
Edit: I was all set to do this and during the signup - I found out that my imei wouldn't work in Verizon's system so they used one from another phone. He advised that if I wanted to pay for insurance, if I make a claim it could be an issue because the imei numbers won't match up. Seemed like a big red flag to me. So I didn't go through with it. Wonder how others are handling this?
I just switched from the ATT firmware to ARF4 on T-Mobile, but it says there is no update available, while the newest T-Mobile update is ARF7. Does anyone know how to get updates OTA?

Right here bro. You'll need to sign up with Sam Mobile first then download it. It's slow but it'll get there in about 4 hours or so

Can someone help me?
I cannot network unlock a T-mobile Samsung Galaxy 9 plus which has never been active on any plan. When I insert my Verizon SIM card a system notification says "Invalid SIM card. Network Locked SIM card inserted".
I want to bring this phone to Verizon where I have an active plan. I don't have a plan with Tmobile and my friend gifted me this phone. I flashed it to Samsung stock firmware and bought an unlock code from DoctorSim. The code applied successfully however the phone doesn't unlock completely and continues to prompt for the unlock code when I insert the Verizon Sim card. When I called Tmobile they said only a phone active for 40 days on their network can be unlocked using the phone app and that my friend would have to call them to unlock the phone.
