its uploading now... been behaving pretty good as i have been running it since dec
EDIT: its done, Download away..
Loving the ROM so far. Feels the smoothest out of all I've tried so far. Thanks!
Interesting. I kinda want to try it but seems like alot of work . My prior CM11 based rom tests all lead me back to modified stock. CM11 isn't smooth and fluid on this device for whatever reason.

I like the ROM so far but why is the DPI scaling on the icons out of whack? Anyone else noticing this especially when in landscape?

can you upload a screenshot?
i run almost exclusive at 90% font size (settings-->Display&Lights-->Font Size) and use nova launcher to change icon size
Here you go. Its weird please advise.

Here is portrait mode, you can still tell it looks off with icons large and close together.

Ok, rom is really running smooth, like exceptionally smooth... Nice!
2 real bugs I've found:
-theme chooser previews don't appear and more importantly they don't apply. System stops briefly, but no theme applied even with a reboot.
-knock on barely works. Assuming that's kernel related (double tap is enabled in settings)
Love the new boot animation! Awesome build!

Your going to have to run a third party laucher for now if you want to modify icon size and layout(nova with icon size to 70% is perfect imo).

1 Theme Chooser is broken and is being worked on, it will work soon
2 Knock on has never worked (at least for CM11, and here as well for me) reliably, and yes this is kernel related

Mahdi has knock on working and infected's cm11 build does too if that helps in getting it working here. Haven't tried actual stock cm11 yet.
And a big yes to nova for the poster above. Working perfectly here...

Took a look and for now i cant find anything different that madhi or infected are doing that pac isnt, we are all pulling from the same base (case in point a poster using a custom kernel (dyn) based on cm mentions that knock on might take 3 times on madhi to turn on. Trying it now, sometimes it captures it on the first try and other times it takes 2-3, which while rarely, would occur even on stock.
EDIT: Try Unchecking and Checking Tap to Wake in Settings-->Display&Buttons and see if that helps
IS there anyway to make the quick settings and notification drawer the same like on a phone or stock rom? I hate that there are two separate drawers (left=notifications and right=quick settings). I looked everywhere as I figured it was a customizable settings but stuck out... Any insight here?
Loving the rom overall and will try nova to get the icon size right.

yeah thats hybrid settings which does that, which unfortunately is not here (or in paranoid for that matter)
as soon as it the paranoid guys bring it up on pa and merge it, it will be on here as well...
as for the drawers, either bump your dpi to 321 or higher (editing the build.prop using your app of choice) or if you the xposed route use app settings and change android to the dpi i just mentioned (321+)
I think you're referring to the LCD density value. That should actually be decreased not increased default on this Rom is 320 I read setting it differently can cause a hung boot. I went ahead and did it anyway setting it to 270 and sure enough it hung. Had to boot to recovery and reflash, decided to go back to stock based Rom for now until the kinks are worked out.

Huh?....
You can pretty much chance the lcd density to whatever you want, especially nowadays... Almost all apps/system operations are adapted for multi DPI usage due to the variance amongst devices. Our device here is no exception....200-400 is the "safe zone" with 320 being proper, but up to 480 will probably work and as low as 180 too..
270 will absolutely not be the reason for not booting. Something else must have happened. If anything you would get fc's, not a bootloop...

correct i mean ro.sf.lcd_density (you can use lcd_density and DPI interchangeably as most do already) and its correct, its a bit counter intuitive but the lower the lcd_density the smaller the Virtual Pixels for a more tablet look, while setting lcd_density higher makes the Virtual Pixels bigger allowing for the phone look
What you might be thinking are DIP (Density Independent Pixels or True Pixels) Different things...
for reference look at the Per APP Density Setting xda thread (if you dont believe me...) you dont have to set dp as the density is enough if you do use app settings
DO NOT USE THESE DPI/density settings

as you can see higher dpi heads to more a Phone look while lower you get a more tablet look
and of course our density settings are bit higher (Phone UI starts at 321+ because of our size and resolution iirc, and since we dont have tablet ui anymore, so thats probably why the boot loop happens, as bunch of stuff with Tablet UI was ripped out in 4.4)

What is the difference with the AT&T versus the M7UL version?
I have been using the M7UL version on my AT&T HTC One, Can I dirty flash future nightlies of the AT&T version over the M7UL version?
Thanks!

Yes, you shouldn't really have issues dirty flashing between them, the only real difference is that this ROM labels the phone as the ATT variant.
Bluetooth with headset works better than CM alone. Its still not like a stock ROM. I really did like CM 10.1 so this was nice with the extras. This is my first android phone. And its not that bad. I do miss siri with Bluetooth headsets. I havent found a way yet to get Bluetooth to work right on here yet.
This is a great Rom, cheers to the dev! The sound issues I experienced in other AOSP Roms are non existent. The only thing I'm waiting for is the apps in the dock to respond to touch while the phone is in landscape

Alright, so I've been running this ROM all day and I have a few observations to make.
First thing. I am absolutely drowning in settings. That's completely a good thing though. You have no need touch any of them, but they're all there should you feel like tinkering. The pie is nice, but I sometimes feel like it gets in the way when I try and swipe back up the notification bar, not a big deal. I can get used to swiping up from the corner.
I had a big idea that I was going to go with a white notification bar... Yeah, be careful with that. I got it stuck like that, but only on some apps. I had to install a theme to get it to go away, I guess I just lost the original option, I think it was somewhere in ParanoidAndroid's settings.
The Halo is quite nice, despite the fact that I really have no idea how to use it properly and didn't get a lot of texts today to test it out with.
The only noticeable issue is that I'm not picking up LTE. I mostly use WiFi though, so that can take a low place on the "To deal with" list. And as for the fixes, I'm not noticing much of a performance increase, my AnTuTu scores are up ~500 points.
One more thing to note is that you might want to go in to ParanoidAndroid's settings and fix up the DPI, a lot of things were too small to read (namely the settings app). Besides that... Great ROM. Thanks for putting in the effort to get this out there. I'll add in a screenshot of my setup for anyone who wants to see/build off of it. Keep being awesome and keep providing the drive to the Android open source community.

Nevermind Bluetooth doesn't work on phone calls. Hopefully the bugs get worked out and I'll defiantly be back. I have to have the Bluetooth working on calls. Other than that I loved this Rom.

Yes, working fine.
Quick Update
The new nightly builds are now being uploaded to the folder named nightly (instead of nightlies) . The link is still the same in the op. The nightlies folder will be deleted soon to avoid any confusion.
A couple of highlights coming up in the 7/09 nightly.
Lockscreen settings have been consolidated in the Rom Control section and taken out of settings. You will still be able to select the system icons from cm in there.
The camera tile from cm has been merged.
A lot of fixes and under the hood commits are being done and tested as we move towards another release candidate build.
Like always thanks for the support and keep the feedback coming!

So far so good.. my signal appears to be lower than usual.. andy radio suggestions? or is it more of a local thing, and do i have to try a couple. ?
How can I remove the Halo from the screen? It seems that the remove icon is missing when the halo is demonstrated in panandriod rom. Also, I can't drag the halo icon on the screen. I am using the PACman rom att version
New to the one, are the nightlies stable?

Always follow the OP through and through.
If things are acting weird, or you have things going on and don't see too many people reporting it.
Redownload rom and gapps
Wipe data factory reset
Wipe dalvik and cache
Format System (upon flashing rom it will do this automatically)
Then flash rom and gapps then reboot system. (boot the rom and then go back and flash your kernel of choice, if that's what you choose to do).
Also if having issues, boot into safe mode and see if issues still persist. Boot into safe mode by hold power button and long press on reboot. This will boot you into no 3rd party apps mode, basically. To get out of it, just reboot normally
To enable Developer Options, go to; settings|about phone|tap build number 7/8 times
to enable reboot options,(recovery, download) enable advanced reboot in Developer options
Dual Panel mode will cause some weirdness in settings. Turn them of to set everything up and forget about it after.
All the tabletui settings work but nav colors reset after reboot
If you have the "tick" while playing music then disable "Screen lock sound" & "Touch sounds". Temporary work around for now
No PhotosPhere in this rom still...might get added but depends on stability and CyanogenMod
You must flash Gapps everytime you install the rom as it wipes system every time. Use the gapps in the original post, if you use other Gapps keep those errors to your self and adress the person that made those Gapps.
Facebook acts up and is weird?? Stop using the app.
Update system apps before saying things are broken. (Google Now)
If you decide to run a 3rd party kernel, take your issues about; speed, battery, and reboots to that thread, we cant change their kernel to make it better for you, they can. Thanks.
You will not have a 4g icon, it is an H+ when data is being retreived, when idle it is a 3g icon.
This is a work in progress, I'll update it as needed
FAQ PART

I look forward to testing this rom!
Seems like I been setting up my phone with something new every day lately. It's nice to finally get a bunch of new developers for this phone. Welcome
beamed from transporter room 3
This looks awesome will definitely stay updated with this ROM.
I love the little and subtle differences about this rom. The Font, The Animation, The Organization of the Interface Settings.... Really Slick Rom.. Pretty impressed with this!
I am very happy everyone is enjoying my build both official and unofficial ones , both there is a little problem ,as I am from India bandwidth here is very costly and due to fair usage crap my high speed(2mbps) connection bandwidth is almost over.I would be very grateful if you people would help me buy more data ,so as to provide you with updated builds for your device.
Still I will try to provide you with as much updates as my pocket can buy ...

Having tested the initial build, I've found no bugs at all. This is the most solid beta I've found.
Edit:
A few things that might help a future build. ES file explorer really helps for installing apks we might have on sd card as well as moving files that the default file manager seriously lacks. There is no reboot to recovery option under the reboot tab. Beyond that, amazing first build.

It's kinda funny cause last night I had emailed some slim devs asking if they would bring slim to us and then the next day we Have a rework of it.
I believe this to be the fastest, smoothest, fluent and graphic glitch free AOSP so far. All is perfect so far... I need to study audios and GPS before calling it the hands down best
Also I am digging the KLP theme
And the I truly love the animations

Can we get a link to the kernel.baked into the ROM.? I would like to dabble with Devil or Plasma just to see how they play but in case they don't do well with this I'd like to return back to the kernel initially baked in.

I'm a Stock ROM kinda guy, but after reading the glowing reviews of this ROM I may just give it a try.
Let me another +1 to comment on how smooth this ROM is, didn't think I'd be going back to AOSP but this was too tempting. Everything just flows, its so fluid.
How is the volume compared to the volume in other 4.2.2 roms?
I absolutely love this rom and have only one minor issue, that's with the volume. Its a little low to me but I'll report back if I find a work around or any other issues.

Volume is going to be low around all aosp roms for a while. At least until CM Commits show a fix/change in the volume. Once that is fixed in the CM thread, then all aosp roms merge those changes into their own build. There are workarounds in the meantime and i believe Shangrila has posted one in the plasma kernel thread. Just the latest 411 for ya.

Gapps inckuded or Why is it 420 Mb ?

I can't even download it. Just requests me to download an application from the play store. Kinda interested in this but not too sure...
Edit... Also if this ROM is only 400 mb then why did you cross out the step to install gapps? This is rather confusing

Really liking it so far.
Couple of bugs here and there:
• if you enable keyboard open/close animations it seems a bit temperamental trying to get it to come up when you have it in horizontal mode.
• I noticed the default animation speed for list view is 0*15, at default you basically can't see it (18*15 feels about right)
• while multitasking I found the sound to skip a few times here and there as if the CPU is being held up somehow.
• pocket mode for lockscreen notifications also seems to be a bit temperamental but have done a reboot or two since then and seeing how it goes from then.
Loving the ROM so far, it's very smooth and has a nice array of features. Finding my phone is getting a little hot though and noticed in Trickster that thermal throttling is disabled...is it being handled by the kernel in another way?
OK.... While typing there... Another big sound hang :S

I think other devices are getting 1.3.2 so maybe we'll see that update here too soon.
Wow.... Impressive... I was skeptical at first but this rom is very responsive and has several mods to it. Thank you for this. I'm running PA gapps and ART
OK I think it's a CM11 bug but the sound/video freezes probably once every 30secs while watching YouTube. Less bad if listening to music or something but it still happens randomly nevertheless.

Thanks mate. Please update fix in OP too...
Nice timing as I was thinking of replacing phone app with Slim or AOSP ROMs.
BTW nice ROM so far been using it from last 24 hours. Let's see how battery life like as didn't had much from other AOSP ROMs...
VERY nice rom! Love all the extra features!
Only other bug i noticed other than the call log is that, when on the phone and you put it up to your ear, the screen goes black like normal but you can still press all the buttons with your face.

this is a "every aosp rom" bug..i have it with cyanogenmod, omni, and all other aosp rom
The only Issue I had that's stopping me from using this daily is that I can't get exchange mail to work. Keeps giving me a error and says check details but they are all right.

I started this project for my personal use but iv'e decided to share this with the community. Elix-R ROM focuses on Speed, Stability, and Simplicity. I have begun to feel that alot of ROMS posted are just trying to pack as much features as possible without any concern of the user or the stability of the ROM. Elix-R is different you won't find a feature that doesn't have a purpose. With the focus on speed Elix-R sticks with PA - Stock as the base meaning that there won't be useless crap that bloats the ROM nor slows it down. There are some great features that are extremely useful and enhance the user experience such as the Latest PA Pie. That being said this ROM includes all the features that Paranoid Android currently has and will be constantly updated to keep in sync with PA. Focusing on Simplicity I have added only tweaks that I see fit for the ROM such as battery saving scripts as well as Performance Scripts. The ROM as well is themed all KitKat style removing all Holo Blue that PA comes with. Hope you enjoy it.

Looks like it could be neat. I'll give it a shot and run it for a few days. Usually I don't like kanged together ROMs in non-original development, but this one shows some promise.
Just what I was looking for ! An All white PA build ! Hate that blue anyday now ! Any possible way of having the original navbar size? and oh, didn't PA figure out a Sound tile yet :-/ ?
Initial impressions. Wow it's fast. Love the font. Love the touch sounds. Love the nav bar and I love the animations. Definitely my new daily driver when the dialer gets fixed! Thank you for sharing the ROM with us.

I slimmed this bad boy down to 195 mb..
I'm wanting to use this rom.. looks fantastic.. But not having a Theme Manager keeps from this being my DD.. Good work nonetheless!
Anyone tried to use camera yet? It instantly FC's for me. Clean flash, no gapps as suggested.
Other Impressions: WOW!
Did pie and peek go open source?
The font is sooo ballin'
I like the gallery and v4a already being there.
The custom nav buttons are nice.
I've only been on it for about 20 minutes. I may find more goodies.
Op seems nice ! so i'm downloading right now.
Buuuut there are some questions. :
First "latest pa pie"?
Second " peek"
As far as i know..pa Team is cleaning the code before release..so how could it be that you already habe have access to the code?
(I'm a cherry picking enthousiast too and waiting eagerly for the code too )
This would be so complete with a theme manager
AND HALO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since... You know... You can do that...

Camera works just fine with dalvik but with ART its broken (Ill post a fix soon). As for the dialer my nexus is not connected so i couldnt test much around that area. The touch pad works for me with ART and Dalvik.
camera works fine and
F halo .. unnecessary bloat
Well, no RoM has Pie and Halo, I'm not sure how he has pie, but Halo is just a cherry pick away, and people would be drooling over this ROM.

I sort of agree, but no one has been able to have the halo+pie experience since new pie, it'd be cool. Until the new hover or whatever gets released. Then just revert Halo. Lol

Also, on boot I get a bad graphical glitch, takes up the left side of the screen
And the lock screen clock looks like poo, I guess that's because of the condensed font, which is so worth it.

Fixes And Add-ons
Sony Social Connect From Z2
Looks interesting. Flashing now!
Edit: Hmm something's not working. Installed rom/gapps and it shows the boot animation for 3-4 seconds then goes to black screen.
Edit2: Ok got it working on 2nd go around.
Flashed this using Philz + Pa Gapps + KToonsez Kernel and all went well.
Two little issues I had :
The keyboard wouldn't gesture type no matter what I did settings wise. I uninstalled the keyboard using TiBu then went and wiped cache/Dalvic then I installed one of Shaf's themed keyboards and i was good.
The other one was that my volume panel wouldn't pop up randomly when hitting the volume keys. Not sure if its a ROM bug or what but later in going to reflash this without KT kernel and see if maybe that issue goes away.
Other than that though this ROM is sweet. I posted all this in the i9505 thread and figured since I just saw this thread pip up I'd share here too.

I'm going to get to flash this in about 30 minutes and was wondering if you used there gapps, which are super minimal. I'm ok with that because I'll just add the few things that I want.
Just wondering because I use pa gapps almost exclusively.
Thanks again

Thanks again. I think I pm'd you back earlier but if I didn't thanks for giving me heads up on this rom. It looks promising and I usually like what you like.
Yes, I'm a stalker. lmao

This ROM isn't bad! +1 on no gesture typing, the swipe tail shows up but doesn't type anything. Does anyone else notice it runs on a different DPI?

No it didn't. I usually run mine at 420 and no dice.
I just grabbed a keyboard from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2387785
Then uninstalled the one that came with this ROM + wiped cache/Dalvic then installed the new one and gesture is good to go.
Not sure if you've used these keyboards Shaf makes but typically you can't just uninstall stock then install the themed one... You need to wipe caches in between or it won't allow the install.
Other than that and this ROM is pretty sweet. I'm going to run it for a few and see where it takes me

In case anyone ( @mcconvict ) just can't be without Back to kill feature an alternative for now is adding back to kill/kill apk to the notification shortcut. I know I know its not the same but its what we have lol

Dark Dialer
Any chance of getting a dark dialer? The white hurts my eyes something awful! I flashed a dark dialer that I was using on another ROM, but it would simply FC whenever I tried to launch it.

Maybe in future. Modding colors is a very big process.

I don't have a link to a ROM that has it built in, but here's a link to the add/on for the Vanir ROM that I'm currently using.
