I started this project for my personal use but iv'e decided to share this with the community. Elix-R ROM focuses on Speed, Stability, and Simplicity. I have begun to feel that alot of ROMS posted are just trying to pack as much features as possible without any concern of the user or the stability of the ROM. Elix-R is different you won't find a feature that doesn't have a purpose. With the focus on speed Elix-R sticks with PA - Stock as the base meaning that there won't be useless crap that bloats the ROM nor slows it down. There are some great features that are extremely useful and enhance the user experience such as the Latest PA Pie. That being said this ROM includes all the features that Paranoid Android currently has and will be constantly updated to keep in sync with PA. Focusing on Simplicity I have added only tweaks that I see fit for the ROM such as battery saving scripts as well as Performance Scripts. The ROM as well is themed all KitKat style removing all Holo Blue that PA comes with. Hope you enjoy it.

Looks like it could be neat. I'll give it a shot and run it for a few days. Usually I don't like kanged together ROMs in non-original development, but this one shows some promise.
Just what I was looking for ! An All white PA build ! Hate that blue anyday now ! Any possible way of having the original navbar size? and oh, didn't PA figure out a Sound tile yet :-/ ?
Initial impressions. Wow it's fast. Love the font. Love the touch sounds. Love the nav bar and I love the animations. Definitely my new daily driver when the dialer gets fixed! Thank you for sharing the ROM with us.

I slimmed this bad boy down to 195 mb..
I'm wanting to use this rom.. looks fantastic.. But not having a Theme Manager keeps from this being my DD.. Good work nonetheless!
Anyone tried to use camera yet? It instantly FC's for me. Clean flash, no gapps as suggested.
Other Impressions: WOW!
Did pie and peek go open source?
The font is sooo ballin'
I like the gallery and v4a already being there.
The custom nav buttons are nice.
I've only been on it for about 20 minutes. I may find more goodies.
Op seems nice ! so i'm downloading right now.
Buuuut there are some questions. :
First "latest pa pie"?
Second " peek"
As far as i know..pa Team is cleaning the code before release..so how could it be that you already habe have access to the code?
(I'm a cherry picking enthousiast too and waiting eagerly for the code too )
This would be so complete with a theme manager
AND HALO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since... You know... You can do that...

Camera works just fine with dalvik but with ART its broken (Ill post a fix soon). As for the dialer my nexus is not connected so i couldnt test much around that area. The touch pad works for me with ART and Dalvik.
camera works fine and
F halo .. unnecessary bloat
Well, no RoM has Pie and Halo, I'm not sure how he has pie, but Halo is just a cherry pick away, and people would be drooling over this ROM.

I sort of agree, but no one has been able to have the halo+pie experience since new pie, it'd be cool. Until the new hover or whatever gets released. Then just revert Halo. Lol

Also, on boot I get a bad graphical glitch, takes up the left side of the screen
And the lock screen clock looks like poo, I guess that's because of the condensed font, which is so worth it.

Welcome to the "Energy" ROM collection thread !
This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Amaze !
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
This is for the GB ROM:
Stock or themed ROMs available
Rosie 5x5 Layout (tweakable)
CRT Animation + overscroll (tweakable)
Enabled GPU UI rendering
Blue highlights instead of green
Deodexed, zipaligned, tweaked
Extra Quick Settings
Improved SD card read ahead
Busybox + runparts, TitaniumBackup
Zipaligned
A few HTC Apps removed, like HTC Navigation and some widgets
A lot of junk removed
Stock HTC Kernel
Screenshot by pressing Power and Home
Advanced Power Menu
Updated hosts file for ad removal
A lot more stuff... check the changelog below
Fast... Stable.. and GREAT battery life with the stock HTC kernel
You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.
How to Flash this ROM:
- Root your device
- Install a custom recovery
- Install the downloaded ROM .zip found in post #3
- Make sure to do a Factory Reset / Wipe before installing ROM

I cannot give enough thanks and love to dalingrin (on behalf of cm team) and preludedrew (on behalf of evervolv), and also AOKP. I (nor anyone else on classicnerd, I would hope) claim to be pros. But the three parties I mentioned are pros. I thank these guys for doing everything they've done thus far, and if you want to show anyone love these guys deserve it. We are in this for fun and thus far it has been a learning experience (especially since most of us are sense-devs). Once everything is up and official I will post a list of every piece of code borrowed.
I (on behalf of Classicnerd) hope you guys will enjoy what we offer. I look forward to some vanilla flavored Ice cream sammiches.
We would like to take time to issue credits.
First, donators for bringing together one heck of a team, Preludedrew and Evervolv for continued support and and letting us fork some stuff (thanks a ton), CM for all their dedication to better AOSP (without them, no touchpad would be running Android), Team Kang for being true pros at developement, Romanbb for the awesomeness he continues to bring, jzen, Method2madness, a55, Tomween, Krook, Mindsplit, ewalk, krunk, MYN for all the awesome help you've been since the beginning, virus, capychimp, joelz, sac23, wes324, Ghoster, Thomas, and so many more. I will continue to add as time evolves.
If you weren't mentioned, please PM me so I can make adjustments right away

Mmm another ics rom to put through the paces, I've been flashing them all day, and just when i thought i settled, i have one more! >:-D
Fast and smooth rom I like it. I have one small problem, I see there are some on screen buttons in apps. I think they are in places where they aren't supposed to be. For example in the YouTube app there is the share button and add to playlist button on the bottom. This bar blocks the ability to forward/rewind videos, and switch HQ on/off. And in the gallery app I'm unable to share pictures due to the button placement. I understand this is an alpha and things may not be final but I am curious if on screen buttons were purposely put there or just for experimental purposes. I just feel we don't need them since we have the menu button along with the other 3 hardware buttons. Other than that once again I love this rom, after trying all the ics roms I would have to say this is the best one when it comes to speed and stability.
Ohhh I suppose...
Great job guys is this similar to shooter butta?
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
I am creating a list of things to work on thanks guys for the feedback. This is close to the same as shooter buttah. But some changes added and apks further optimized.
Just fixed Link to our server. Way faster Downloads.

Ahhh gapps is huge lol..failed twice...weird ..hopefully this is the last try lol..the ROM looks good.same with its features .

Running like a champ here. No rotation issues with nova (didnt try with stock launcher). LOVE the nav bar tweaks. Any chance on getting height adjustment on them?
Btw, will we be able to flash updates without wiping? Hope so.
Thanks to the devs!

I cannot get this ROM to download for the life of me. Gapps and patch fine but not rom
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Up and running great so far (1 hour. haha). Feels just as great as it did on my GNex. Auto-rotate on stock launcher isn't working for me... although now that I read back I'm not sure it's supposed to (yet?). No matter, not a big requirement for me while on my home screen.
Thanks guys this is just what I was hoping for.
Same here ...well if I can get ROM to download
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
ROM downloaded fine but gapps took five tries lol :/ but I got it now .

Yup. I wiped data then flashed ROM, patch, GAPPS all before booting once. No issues here.

Fixed the link. My bad.
Tried this ROM the other day off AFH, it's awesome for anyone curious about flashing, only reason I switched back to Bliss was for dark UI. Awesome ROM, will be watching

Nice! Downloading now!
Downloading, loved this ROM on my other phones.
Working great here. Thx again
Everything I wanted. Thanks, see zero issues so far. Will report back tomorrow.
Excellent! Everything I want except dark theme and native led. Thanks
This is one feature rich ROM for sure! If you want to stay decrypted flash a kernel before boot. Even tho it cones with Franco it will encrypt your phone.

Yeah, I've got to figure out why that's happening.
Edit: I think I've found what causes this and it *should* be fixed in the build later today. I also noticed that 5Ghz may not be working on WiFi can anyone test? Maybe it just hates my SSID (I've already seen that before on this phone)

I'll see if it's something I can add. My change to try to disable encryption by default didn't work in today's build. More research to follow.

I like the dark material theme, but at the moment there are MANY issues with it. I'd rather stay light until the dark theme is perfected, but that's just my two cents.

At the moment some notification text is showing up blacked out. Gmail, etc. Makes it hard/impossible to see what it says.
Contacts is also a problem area. Lots of black on black. They may be easy fixes, but I just didn't want the theme to be more or less ported in with those issues.
This is my new favorite for the n6! Thank you! Keep up the good work! I have yet to find anything im not satisfied with. Proximity as well as touch responsiveness are on point. The nav bar flip is something I've been waiting for forever!

If you add dark material, can you make it toggle-able? There are quite too many dark roms. It's getting harder for people who like the UI untouched to get a rom with so many features that arent dark.
