Will you point me in the right direction if not to completely help me??? I have been looking at rootgalaxy'siii.com but I believe that it's just specifically for the t mobile variant... please help!

Step 1. Go to correct forum.
Step 2. Ask there.

You're the person who can't post in the right forum for their device, I was merely pointing out what someone else would have pointed out had I not done so.
Do you find it difficult to post in the Verizon forum? Are you some sort of rebel who is trying to fight the system?
If the answer to those questions is no then go to the Verizon forums like a good little boy and have a nice day!

Is there any way to port Ubuntu touch developer preview to Verizon i605. I seen it was on the n7100. I would like to try it , but I have no clue how to port or make roms. Any help would be well appreciated.
Have you seen this - - > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Porting
I was playing around with porting Touch, but got side tracked with some fun with RootBox.
Yes I have but I am on windows 7. Im not good with linux yet. I just wana test the rom out.

Its not that simple. You can either install linux and do the work yourself or hope someone else does it.

Was hoping lol. I seen the n7100 has it. Didnt think it would be that hard but it is. Ill just wait.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Well, you could always backup your device and install the n7100 version. See of it will boot. If it does or doesn't, with a backup, no harm no foul.

You'll probably mainly need a kernel for the lte hardware in the 7105/every American model.

All american model have not heard that one. Thanks guys for all your help.

I can make a build if I was given a week, college life and crap will probably get in the way. If you have any spare computers, you can put them to use and run Ubuntu on them. Don't install the international version, too many different parts. Try looking through at&t/tmobile/sprint forums seeing how radios won't matter at all.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
That would be great.

Hi,
I need 10 posts to report a bug in dev section, this seems for me pretty sensless >_>?
Instead of complaining about the initial posts you need to post outside of general, you could always create a thread in general explaining the bug and somebody else could report it for you. Alternatively, you can also pm the dev of the software you have a bug on.

How exactly is it unfair? It helps to prevent trolling. Sorry if you don't like it. Nobody is forcing you to be an xda member.

Okay buddy don't get that much angry, and it is what I feel and I said that.
Everyone loves XDA and I too have been following it since 2011.

I'm not angry, I just think it's a stupid thing to complain about. I don't think the requirement is over the top.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
Could be over the top for you but think if someone is stuck badly and needs to ask for help from a particular ROM's users then he will have to make 10 posts and that too after time intervals. In most cases his first ten posts would be useless just to bypass that restriction.

Why could this person not pm the dev directly?
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
Because developer alone cannot solve everyone's problems and pm are not liked by all the developers. A problem can be better solved by community together rather than a single developer who may or may not read the pm for days whereas atleast few members on thread will in some hours.
Sent from my LT26ii using xda app-developers app
I find most devs to be pretty responsive, and I doubt the rule will ever change because it does more good than bad. At least you must be quite a bit closer to your 10 posts thanks to this thread.

I think that the D802 variant has shown that it deserves its own forum among the US carriers. What I propose is we make a petition of sorts here by posting a comment or emoticon on this thread if you agree. After a good amount of "signatures", I'll go through and write down the names to pass on to our forum administrator, MikeChannon. He is not the one who will decide if we do get our own forum, but I believe he can pass along our petition to the ones who will. I had already asked him if we could get our own forum, and while he obviously could not guarantee anything, he stated that he would add us to the request list.
I am hoping that with a petition of people behind this effort we can have a forum that will help us organize our items from the other variants. I will also be adding a poll so that a quick visual representation of who wants a D802 forum can also be seen.
Hear hear! :good:
It would definitely clear up all the "can i flash this on this network" confusion :good:
I'm all for it
the international version should surely have its own since it will eventually outsell the american versions :good:

Sort of agree, yet the title of this OP could have been a bit more informative to the point of something like:
Take 4.3, lose rooting and safestrap capabilities at this time.
Just my .02 c
