I have a DOMO Slate N9 SE tablet running on ICS 4.0.3. Everything is working fine but I cannot sign in to YouTube.
When I click on YouTube for the first time, it crashes saying 'Unfortunately Android System has stopped' and the next time it gets stuck on 'Signing in'. If I clear data, again it says 'Unfortunately Android System has stopped' and then keeps on getting stuck at signing in.
But when I use applications like Opera Mini and Flipboard and load a video, the YouTube app opens and runs the video. When I click on 'like' to like that video, I get a pop-up screen asking me to log in using my Google account. When I click on it, I get the same error, 'Unfortunately Android System has stopped'.
I think there are system files missing in the device. The ICS ROM did not even have CalendarSyncAdapter.apk and I had to manually install it. So I think even the YouTube error is due to some missing system files.
I have tried several other versions of YouTube app too but I get the same error.
What shall I do? Please help. BTW my device is rooted.
Thank you.
Alright I took an apk file of YouTube from the internet and placed it in with my 'system/apps' folder with the permissions being 'rw-r-r' and I am able to sign in now.
But well I want it on my SD card, what can I do now?

Hi,
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 and I'm running Helly Bean (custom ROM).
Whenever I start the YouTube app,a message appears saying "This action isn't allowed" then after I click to watch a video the app totally crashes.
What could be wrong? I tried reinstalling it but didn't help..
Thanks in advance!
reinstall it
try using a system app like android tuner and look up the app there. open the option for that app and it will allow you to delete its caches and data. if that fails, try wiping dalvic cache.
Both suggestions didn't work :\
Just wait 24 hours then retry.
Same problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note2
Same problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note2 (sgh-i317m) rooted..
"unsupported video format" and "this action isn't allowed" on YouTube..
reset app preferences and clear cache
playstore is giving the error "package file is invalid" for almost all the apps i download.
i've cleared cache, restored it to default, used a different apk and finally restored it back to factory settings. still the same error.
also tried this method
1). Log into Google Play Store
(using a browser)
2). Scroll to the bottom of the page
& locate "My Orders & Settings"
3). Click on the Settings Tab
4). Assign a "Nickname" to your
phone
5). Check "Shown in Menus"
6). Save settings
7). Return to the Play Store and
download Apps as normal!

The phone is not rooted. using stock everything.
Try formatting your sd card or try using another sd card.......the main problem is of storage......either your sd card cannot store it properly.....or your net connection is problematic.....because Google's server cannot be down ever...

Have u tried connecting to Wifi and then try downloading apps I had the same issue but when I tried again it was all normal
I dont think the problem is with my Internet connection. My sister has a galaxy r and if i download the same app on her phone, it installs perfectly.
I only use wifi to download apps.
Will try formatting the sdcard and tell you if that helps
try rooting it
i also have that problem before rooting on my xperia neo l. after rooting my phone, the error never appeared. thanks god
Guys I have a 4.3 Stock GNA5 version S3.
Whenever I open the stock video player, it force closes and says "Unfortunately, video has stopped".
But If i try to open the videos via Gallery of QuickPic, and when I select the Stock Video player to play the video, it works flawlessly.
Only problem is the Stock Video Player app doesn't open.
Steps I've already tried :
-> I already cleared the data and cache from the Application Manager several times.
-> I rebooted the phone several times.
-> I went into the stock recovery and did "wipe cache partition" too.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I think you have unsupported / corrupted video in the device, so when the video player launches and tries to analyze the vid for quick preview, it fails and crushes.
I suggest removing all your vids from device (internal & external) and trying again

For some reason I can't donwload anything throught the Chrome or any other web browser, for example if I want to download something throught the chrome it shows "download failed due to missing SD card." Also most of music players wont play my music, it just gets stuck at 0:00 and won't budge from there or some error pops out.
I'm using Paranoid ROM (ver 7.2.2) with Faust kernel v6.0
Me too. And i can't access google play store services. Cant get server connection.
Pls help, i think maybe i flashed too much zip (LOL, so sad) when i went from official miui to pixel experience (could be that "lazyflash" or something like that?)

Try revoking storage permission and granting back storage permission for the faulty apps.
Try clearing app data, disable and enable app.
