Hey guys,
I'm using ganbarou's rom for my Galaxy Tab p7500 (based on CM10.2). I'm trying to modify the behaviour on the quicksettings menu back to stock behaviour (press for settings, long-press for toggle).
Does anyone know how to do this? I already tried instaqlling GravityBox, but I can't find the setting needed in GravityBox.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Bump...
So... I'm guessing no one knows the answer?

sorry for my bad english before... may this steps could help you:
1. Make a call to your 'forgot-gesture-cellphone' from another phone, and then answer it.
2. On the call session, press home button. Now you have access to your home screen.
3. Go to CyanogenMod settings and changes your lockscreen settings.

Hello all;
I have been searching and searching, but so far have not found an answer to this. I have a Verizon LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1. The issue I have is that I have a 3 year old daughter that loves to play with it. The problem is so far I have found no way to completely lock the notification bar. I have found apps that lock the back and home buttons, but not the rest of the buttons, the notifications, and more importantly the settings menu.
Here are the exact details of my hardware.
Model: SCH-I905
Build: HTJ85B.EL01.SCH-I905.EL01
Kernel: 2.6.36.4-cyanogenmod+ [email protected] #1
Does anyone know of any solution for my situation?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I assume you mean you want to let her play without the worry of her pressing and opening other apps?
(LOL, 3 year old opening and reading your mails *sarcasm*)
But yes this can be possible. I however am confused, what would you like to disable? The hardware keys or the touch keys? Don't think disabling the hardware key's is a good idea, incase the tablet hangs up. But I guess it's all based on your reply.

All I am looking to disable is the soft keys across the bottom. Currently I am running the latest released Verizon build so it has the TouchWiz skin/interface installed. I am looking to disable all the soft keys across the bottom of the UI. Most important is the pop up menu you get when pressing the clock area in the bottom right of the screen.
Thanks again.
Try the app called Hide Bar - it will completely hide the bottom system bar (not just dim like when looking at photos) and only re-appears when you use a certain gesture...
hope that works for your needs!

I searched the market for "Hide Bar" and cound not find anything that matched that name, but I did find an app called "No System Bar" and it did the trick wonderfully.
Thank you very much for the help on this one. It was driveing me nuts.

Hey all,
Is there a way to link the ringtone and notification volume on a TouchWiz based rom (stock or custom)? I read that in ICS and JB ASOP they are linked without an option to unlink them, which seems to be the case in CM 9 and 10, but on TouchWiz roms they seem to be separate with no option to link them.
I have tried searching for answers, but nothing that actually works has come up, root or not. Does anyone know of a solution to this as it bugs me some what :silly:
Cheers :good:
Bump - Anyone?
No one has this problem or a solution?
Why you need to link them both? Whenever you press volume button, you can expand the pop up volume bar to adjust ringtone and notification. Is not that's hard compare to finding a mod to fix it, right?

hi,
i've been using the s3 for six month now and finally got all things the way i want (omega v34 rom with perseus kernel and jkay deluxe framework). except for two things i can't seem to find anywhere:
1. lock back and menu buttons option in the quick panel settings. every time i play something or giving the phone to someone else the back\menu button is accidentally triggered causing a "kill app" operation (long press back button to kill app mod is enabled). annoying!
2. in the contacts screen there is an option to scroll a-->z, i have contacts written in other languages and want to rearrange the scroll order and include letters that are in my language (hebrew).
are the two things i wrote already exist, and if not, from whom should i request it?
p.s i know the #2 issue is possible to solve in galaxy s2 with decompiling some apk's- if anybody knows a good guide for s3 it would be great too..
tnx in advance to the repliers!
you can request the first one in the JKay thread in original development. It's a nice idea
Or if you watching a video on YouTube and you can lock the keys with the lock button so that if i give it to my friend and back button is pressed accidentally so it won't kill our take you out of the video.

Hello, Xda-members. I have a:
Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100)
Android 4.1.2 (Xwls8) Odexed/Stock/Spain-release
I already successfully modified market app's & system app's, this is not my problem.
Note, I have Googled for hours and I also used search function and couldn't find a solution, so I ask my question here.
I'm sorry if my post is in the wrong thread, I'm new to XDA !
I want to change a behavier regarding the "Quick settings panel". I try to describe my problem in detail.
When I open the "Notification tray" from the "Notification bar" the "Quick settings" are automatically shown
in the middle of all available quick settings:
See image: *ww.abload.de/img/aros3c.png
When I stop touching the notification tray, then it automatically slides to the left side.
I believe this is supposed to show the user to notice that there are more quick settings hidden on the right side to scroll to.
This really annoys me and I already know they are there.
Ok, my question is: How do I disable this behavier ? How do I change it to immediately start on the left side ?
See image: *ww.abload.de/img/bx3sae.png
I have decompiled my SystemUI.apk (I already did other changes to it) but I can't find the spot where this function is defined...
So, anyone here who knows what I have to change in the Xml's
I hope this is not a foolish question... Help and hints are welcome !
Hi !
6 month later I have the exact same question !
Anyone knows if it's possible and how it's done?
