Hey guys, does anyone know which pogo pin is for plus and minus, my HTC's USB port is dead, and I was wanting to charge it up. If anyone knows, I would really appreciate it, thank you!

I know that on the Galaxy Nexus, the one on the far left is negative, while the one on the far right is positive. Perhaps this also applies to the HOX+?

Here's what I did today: I clicked on the "Escalation Mail Box" Contact link on the Asus support website (http://vip.asus.com/eservice/cus_suggest.aspx) and I asked them to release Transformer USB/Charger cables to the US Market. I explained how much I liked their devices; that I own both the TF and the docking station and how worried I am to only have one cable that could get lost.
Here is the reply email I received:
Dear Valued Customer:
Thank you for supporting and using ASUS products!
Your comment has been received by us and is currently in process. We will improve and as a treatment, you can reply through the link to check the situation. Thank You! [link to open ticket]
If everyone writes in, maybe we can demonstrate a strong enough user demand to get the most essential accessories out on the market.

Just did the same. One cable with no spare is not cool...
The guy who sells the FolioGuard stuff, xjarl I think, mentioned he got his hands on the 40pin connector and asked in the general thread what he should "do" with them...but the thread got buried super quick.
I thought a million people would ask him to make power cables but...

Do you think you could find that thread again and forward the key info to DevCake (the guy here who does the DIY hardware articles):

If anyone can hack together a substitute cable it would be him. So, if there's a guy somewhere who can get the connectors and there's a guy here who can determine which pins we need to wire to a standard USB cable (or charger or whatever we need), then we should put those two together.
Thanks,
glg
Just sent my request as well. I have the Radio Shack charger wall wart w/adapter but I'm very nervous about not having a dongle that fits the TF's port.
Guess I'm spoiled - a week after launch there were adapter galore for the Galaxy Tab on ebay.
I'm hoping the free market will save the day soon here...yikes!

I wouldn't call it spoiled, it seems like chargers and cables should be available readily for any device, what this is....is ridiculous.

I tracked down xjar and messaged him about 4 days ago but no response so far. That connector is the holy grail, find it and I'll be able to make a GRIP of cables and accessories.
I've just done so asking about availability here in the EU. They don't seem to be anywhere!
I got a response back:
Thank you for contacting ASUS and providing your feedback. You may purchase the AC adapter here:[http://us.estore.asus.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=3613] Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for your support.

New response today:
Thank you for your response and I do apologize for your inconvenience. The ETA for the power adapter will be on 7/12. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The 12th? Whats taking so damn long.
Letter sent. I hope they get their head's out of eachother's asses.
This situation is really irking me. I sometimes wonder if I shouldn't have gotten a different tab is only to rectify the accessory situation. These adapters should only be costing like 5 cents to make. I don't understand what is going on here.

Perhaps they are not yet ready with software support ; but then again they already have support for USB through the dock

Oh I'm specifically just thinking about their charger cables. I *hate hate hate* that I only have one. As far as I can tell the only places you can buy them they are like $40. Ridiculous IMO b/c that sort of thing should be pretty cheap. That is a pure profit item, if it were even in stock in the first place.

My bad, I thought it had the wrong connector but when I zoomed in I see it is at a bad angle. $40 buck is a little expensive, especially considering it is defective.
Out of stock already!

Loved that stand! Any downside to it?
Im trying to make a custom cable for something ,
anyways just wondering if anyone knows what the pinout's are.
ive been searching but i cannot find anything on the extmicro, just extmini.
Custom cable no longer needed, lol... but i would still like to find out what the pinouts are. i Might just have to go and investigate myself.
turns out there already is a cable from htc that i was looking for
basically all i wanted was a audio out cable from the extmicro, and it looks like I found one that was for the DINC, and also is for video out but all i really need is audio. I remembered there was a a/v out cable for the dinc and i also remembered the dinc also had the extmicro connection so its bound to work!
I saw a post claiming that the Dinc pinout doesn't apply to the RZ. Doesn't make sense to me, but there it is. Please update this thread with anything you find.

It would be pretty dumb if they made an entirely new extmicro for the newer devices. I'm still going to go ahead and buy it. I'll report back, it would be super handy for two projects I'm trying to do without having to buy two big expensive mhl adapters.

Yesterday when I tried to plug in my Streak to charge I noticed that the cable didn't seem to go in properly. After looking at the port it seems that a pin is bent.
Has anyone had any luck bending one back? Also, is there a schematic available that will tell me what pin does what?
Thanks.
Google and xda search

Yeah, I did that bit. Thanks for being helpful.
Well, if you searched, you didn't search hard enough because this has been brought up before. However, it should be possible to bend the bent pin back into alignment with the rest of the pins. But you'll need a steady hand and a tool like a precision screwdriver to bend the pin with.
As for the schematic, I can't help you there.
Solution.
Hi,
Last year when my Streak's port broken I searched a lot about it. I remember was find a schematic but can't find it no again.
But there is good news for you and everyone who has the same problem.
You can buy a replacement Charging Port from ebay. It's been 1 year from my Streak's charging port broken. It was so expensive. But now, you can find about USD 3-5 from ebay.
Here is an search link from ebay about it.
I hoppe it's helpfull.
Oh.. Because of I've never send a post before I can't able to send link within the post. You can search on ebay as "streak charging connector"

And now you see why I posted.
Yet your main issue is a bent pin, not the pinout. Bent pins have been brought up on the forum before, thus you didn't search too hard. As for the pinout, no one has posted one, however posting one isn't necessary since the port is supposedly a standard interface (mini PDMI?). Something that you would have found had you searched harder, because it was discussed.
Attitudes like this are the reason why people see this community as a cesspool of elitist snobs. The only post that wasn't rude and condescending came from someone who hadn't posted before.
Yes, I searched. No I didn't see anything. So I posted. Get over it.
Anyway: I'm done with this thread. Later.

Well you may have searched but it wasn't here because as Stephen said its been tossed over several times. And I love the fact its seen that way. Hopefully it will keep out folks like you that only want to be spoon fed because you couldn't find your answers immediately because the forum is clogged with posts and threads by noobs just like you that are lazy

I am wondering if the charging port on the dell streak 5 is compatible with the dell streak 7, I looked up the specs....all I could find is that both the 5 and the 7 use proprietary 30-pin interface/charging ports, and that the charging cable for the 2 units are the same, but I am somehow sure that there must be a reason ebay doesn't list the oem replacement part for both the 5 and the 7, but is it something that can be worked around? If this has already been addressed please forgive me....I've gone buggy trying to find the answer!!

Hey guys, I am think of switching from my evo lte to the note this week. I looked but I could not find my exact answer's. Is there a wireless charger that goes on the stock back and does not make the phone thicker? I want to use a Spigen case with it and dont know if it will work? Also will the wireless charging work through the case? and will the NFC still work through a wireless charger and a case? Thanks!
I came from the Evo LTE and man what a difference. The N3 will NOT disappoint.
There is a wireless charging thread or two that will answer those questions. I'll go dig at least one up for you.
