Guys recently I started using 32GB card with my Micromax Canvas HD and everything is working only for when I try to connect my mobile to PC for file transfer via usb storage I can see only two drive one of CD drive of mmx and other internal sd drive and I can see one more drive but it is not mounted which is my external sd drive when clicked on it, it asked to enter disk guys plz help.
Solution tried so far by me
1. I have erase external sd card in mobile itself.
2. Reset the entire phone.
3. Uninstalled the mmx driver on my PC and reinstalled it.

Please follow this simple steps on your pc to connect your micromax canvas device successfully
For connecting your external memory...!!!
STEP 1: Copying the ZIP package
1. Copy the ZIP package to the your pc (LINK GIVEN BELOW)
2. Extract the zip package to an easy place to find
location such as the desktop
STEP 2: Verifying the unidentified
Android device
1. Open the Start Menu and click run
2. Type "devmgmt.msc" to open Device
Manager
3. Look for the unidentified Android device
(usually indicated by a yellow exclamation
mark)
STEP 3: Install/Update USB driver
1. Right-click the device and select "Update
Driver..."
2. Select "Browse my computer for driver
software"
3. Select "Let me pick from a list of device
drivers..."
4. Search for "Android Composite ADB
Interface"
5. Click "Have Disk..." and search for the INF
file (android_winusb.inf) located in the
folder you copied earlier
6. Click Next to install the USB driver
That's it!
The phone should now appear in Device Manager
as an Android ADB device.
You should now be able to initiate a remote USB
connection to the device.

[Q] USB connect problem

I have the Samsung drivers installed on my PC (Win XP). When I connect the phone with a USB cable I see two drives - presumably the main memory and the SD card. But when I click on either of them I get a message: "Please Insert Disk in Drive X"
What do I need to do to be able to actually see the content?
If I insert the SD card in a regular card reader I can read and write it.
I tried setting the USB connection to "Development" and to regular storage. Makes no difference.
Please Help
When you plug the phone into the computer, open your notifications bar at the top of the phone. You should see an option that says, 'USB connected / Select to copy files to/from your computer.' Select this option, and click mount. After a few moments, the drive letters that you said were not functioning on your computer, will work successfully.
Thanks for the reply. It helped a lot. The procedure that worked for me is:
1. Set the USB mode on the phone to "Mass Storage"
2. Plug in the USB cable and connect to computer.
3. After the "Connected to USB message appears press the Menu button. Chose Notifications and than click on the USB Connected message.

How to read internal sd-card with bricked display ?

Help please.
My display bricked today after phone falling me down. I don't see anything on my phone display now. I have installed a rom with standard USB mass storage, but can't anymore see and touch the option to activate internal USB storage.
Is there any possibility to read internal storage otherwise with connection from PC ??
thanks for any tip

Go to recovery mode. Wait a few seconds to make sure you are already using recovery mode.
Press volume up 4 times. It will lead you to mounts and storage.
Press volume up 2 times. 'mount USB storage'
Well, I'm not too sure about the second step because I'm not currently on siyah.
It don't works. Any other idea ??
adb may work if you had it turned on. If not, it may work from recovery.
a mhl cable would also work to make a tv your screen but then you will likely find that if the screen is broken that touch input is not working.
1. Download and instal program "Android Commander" onto a Windows PC.
2. Boot into recovery
3. Connect to PC with USB & allow drivers to instal
4. Run Android Commander and view / modify / copy all files emmc, sdcard etc to PC directory.

How can you tell what format your MicroSD card is? I can't tell if im Fat32 or extFat. I don't want to take it out of the phone either.

Are you using Windows or Linux?
Either way (without removing the card):
- Windows:
1. Connect device via USB Cable to a computer.
2. When the computer recognizes the device (and your device's folder directory appears), right click on the MicroSD, and check "Properties".
-Linux:
1. Same as above, but you need to have your distro properly configured most of the time.
OR
You could search on the Market for an app that could tell you. I'm sure there has to be one. It might not be exclusively an app that tells you the format, but I am sure there are many tools that provide that information as a part of the app.

It's Windows 7
When I go to Properties on the MicroSD card it just says
File System: Generic hierarchical
So it's not showing the file type at all.

Merging Internal and SD Card

So far i'm sticking to OnePlus X Stock ROM, i'm on OOS 3.1.1 exactly.
I did not have time to root my device so far.
But i really don't have enough memory, so it's urgent to merge the internal memory with my SanDisk Ultra MicroSDXC 64 Go SD card.
Which ROM would the most stable and fully working and enable me to use the SD card merged to the internal memory.
Many thanks to the community!
This worked on 3.1.0 :
1. activate USB Debugging on Developer Options
2. download adb tools here and put it in one folder.
3. plug your phone to pc via USB
4. now open windows explorer and "shift + right click" at adb folder, then sellect "open command window here"
5. type "adb shell sm set-force-adoptable true" (without quote) and then press enter
6. unplug your phone and go to setting>storage&usb>SD Card
7. click 3 dot on top right corner>setting>format as internal

I actually merged internal and SD card, rooted my phone and flashed custom ROM. So far the result is not really good. I guess my SD card is too slow.
