I rooted my s4 last month via Odin. I am running stock ROM. My phone was fine until yesterday when it turned off. Every time I would try to start it a screen would show up that showed the samsung logo, an unlocked padlock, and the word Custom. The phone will not boot into system recovery. I don't know much about rooting so I don't really know what is wrong. I tried tutorials on the internet but they all involve booting into system recovery. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, I think i may of bricked my phone when i was trying to reset it today and i may need some help, this phone is kind of my life.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2, I rooted it with farmaroot and I think i tried to install CMW Recovery with the boot manger do i dont know if that was a mistake but it said it was able to do it and it showed the model of the phone when i tried to install it.
So I tried to reset my phone today and when i did that it just boots to the samsung logo and goes into a black screen.
Is there anything i can do to fix my Mess up, please?
I need help immediately cause I am paniking. So I rooted my phone using the KingRoot application, and after the root was succesful used SuperSu-Me to remove KingRoot. SuperSu-Me installed SuperSU on my device which in turn had to install an update, so I let it do its thing. After the update was installed SuperSU prompted me to reboot my phone so i did. Problem is the phone has been stuck for about half an hour in the shifting shapes screen, fastboot doesn't work. I have tried hard reseting it but the problem persists.

Found a solution?
My solution
I fixed it by unlocking the bootloader in fastboot mode, flashing TWRP and using it to flash the original version of the oxygen os, the one that came preloaded with the phone.

Thank you for replying. I'm sorry I don't know what a recovery is. My phone is Starmobile Knight luxe lollipop 5.1 . Help I cant afford to buy a new one What would I do in this situation . I'm thinking of removing the battery then putting back it again. It won't even turn off just stucked on the logo.

First, please don't follow instructions you're finding on this specific forum since it's for the OnePlus X, not the Starmobile. Secondly you needed to unlock your bootloader first, since you didn't from the sounds of it you can't boot into Android since it's now tampered. You'll need to boot into recovery, usually by pressing Power + Volume Down until it loads and factory reset your device.

Try to find out your solution in your device's forums, since this forums is for the OnePlus X and not the Starmobile Knight Luxe.
If your device is stuck on the bootup screen, you need to go to fastboot mode, unlock the bootloader (if you haven't), flash a custom recovery, boot into the recovery, and factory reset the device. It should work.
Guys!!! Thank you for all your suggestions. I did flash a custom recovery but it fails simultaneously. I just let it fix on a local phone repair shop just paid a few bucks
Hello there.
Ive had my Alcatel (android version 5.1.1) phone for about 3 months now and a while ago I wanted to root my phone so that I could install some Xposed modules, and I ended up using Kingroot. The rooting process failed but I kept it installed so nothing much occurred afterwards. A few days later I decided to install Kingoroot to see if maybe that could do the job of rooting my phone and it also failed. I was tired so I powered off my phone and went to sleep. The next morning, I powered on my phone and to my surprise it was stuck in a bootloop. I attempted to wipe the cache partition and factory reset and then reboot my phone, but it didnt work. Please not that I wasnt able to unlock the bootloader, so I cant flahs any ROMS. No system file is missing to my knowledge because it always stays stuck on the metro pcs screen with no error message. I appreciate all the help I receive and thank everyone who responds.
Thank you.
I have exactly the same problem with the exact same phone and the exact same carrier
were you able to fix it? if so, could you please tell me how.
the phone's model is nubia Z5s mini nx404h. the thing is this model is only sold to Philippines and Russia and its pretty outdated its jelly bean 4.3 but the thing is i rooted it. flashed the suitable TWRP for my device. and i accidentally wiped cache/dalvik then it restarted to recovery thrice even if i choose to reboot to system. the information about this device is so scarce that i had to spend 29 hours just trying to find a way to unlock the bootloader. i succeeded but now this. after certain reboots to recovery i shut it down. and tried to restart it, next thing that's happened its stuck with ZTE logo. buttons dont work. the battery cannot be removed, and its past the 2 weeks handset warranty so im doomed. now every time i try to charge it and connect it into a computer logo will show, again. and it computer says usb not recognized, then thats it. buttons not working nothing is working. please help. im trying everything, almost everything. thanks to anyone who will be kind enough to help me.
