different calendars different colours? - Themer General Discussion

My wife and I can see each others calendars, but in themer the font colour is the same
is there a way to have different colours for different calendars in themer like in a typical calendar app?
thanks

Would you mind letting me know which calendar widget you are using?
Is it a Zooper built calendar or the Themer Calendar Widget?

Im not real sure what theme you are talking about. There are not pre-loaded themes in Themer, it has always been a tutorial theme of sorts that is preloaded.
Do me a favor, long press on the homescreen (anywhere blank) when the long press menu shows up, choose "browse themes".
Now in this window choose, "My Themes", then "Downloaded.
You should now see a list of the themes you have downloaded. Tell me the name of the theme you are running so I can see what calendar it uses.
Thanks.

This is technically possible.
This calendar is created with Zooper. There is an option in Zooper for setting the color code to the color assigned in the Google Calendar.
The code is #C0COLOR#, this variable will render or output an actual RGB color code for what ever color is assigned to that event in your Google Calendar.
So you have this variable, and I am sure you are wondering WTH you would do with it.
We assuming that the text in that calendar is RichText and not regular text you can assign a BBCODE around the Event variable that changes its color.
Lets say its the event title for the first event, #C0TITLE#. If you want this to be the correct color that is assigned to it you would change it to the following. [c#C0COLOR#]#C0TITLE#[/c]
If it were for the second event it would be as follows.
[c#C1COLOR#]#C1TITLE#[/c]
All in all you CAN do this. It just matters if you want to take the time to change it yourself, getting your hands dirty with a little light coding.
Hope this helps.

Minimalistic Text Integration?

I was wondering if i use minimalistic text as a buttons, can i export the theme and preserve the icons i use in it. I can photoshop the text and make em bitmaps but when i put it as icon on app it is really small, and looks awefool. My theme requares to be able to resize this icon. How can i manage that to work.
Thanks in advance.
You need to use the themer everything widget and set pictures and create hotspots rather than trying to use app icons because those are restricted and will scale down to the default size that your screen resolution will use.

Hi Oxgroth,
Unfortunately Minimalistic Text isn't supported as a 'exportable' widget, only Themer's built in Everything Widget, RSS reader, etc. will work (and Zooper Widget soon).
SchmilK is right in saying the Everything Widget can be used. It's also a lot more user friendly
Thank you very much. I`ll test out Everything widget, i hope i can use the custom fonts for text buttons.

Themer Suggestions

I just setup themer and started playing with themes and minor customizations of exiting themes.
I'd like to second the request/suggestion the theme elements should be scaled to % of height/Width and not actual pixels. I rescaled my DPI to 220 and then had to reposition and resize most elements.
A native widget for SMS messages, not just unread count would be nice
Unread email not via gmail app would be nice.
A widget for "power control" and other indicators would be nice, although Beautiful Widgets works quite well.
An "UNDO" would be outstanding... I've had many objects just "vanish" while trying to grab or move.
Tasker integration would be awesome for the creation of widgets as indicators and such

Thanks for your feedback! We are planning on adding in most of these elements, but with our team being quite small, it's not that easy. Zooper integration is coming soon, so is that UNDO button. The hardest one might be the DPI issue, but we're working on it.
Oh...
"Save changes" function exiting a page
"Enable or disable" a page entirely
Reorder pages
a page count widget (if there are 4 pages, the widget will have 4 dots with the active page element highlighted in some fashion)
A "global" widget. Configure it once and every instance It would be identically configured.
Theme global settings: This font, this size, this background color. Sort of like a theme template.
Group/Ungroup elements.
Copy/paste of a element.
How about a public location for "approved" themers to upload to that can be browsed by the app.
"Caution, these themes are by 3rd parties and are not supported or endorsed by Themer. Viewer Discretion is advised"

Specific widget settings

Well, whenever I reload an exported theme, my widget settings are gone. So I have to do them again. But the only way to do this right now, is removing the widget, then finding it in a huge list, and adding it again.
Am I the only one who would like this?
Made a feature request too
Seems like a "Settings" link could easily be added below the Widget menu, under "Resize" and "Remove"

What type of settings are you referring to? Settings such as Widget Overlap or Desktop Grid Size are theme dependent, therefore every new theme will have it's specific settings.

I'm talking about the settings that some widgets have, like gtasks, where you need to choose which account you want to show tasks from, what colour the widget should have, and some other things. Like widget specific. Not all widgets got something to set, but some you have to setup a few options when you place it the first time. And at least in my stock launcher, I can get back to checking or resetting those settings again.
Know what I mean?
Kinda hard to explain

We understand what you mean, however Themer is the same as any other launcher when it comes to this. For example, if you add a Clock widget, it will give you all the same options as any other launcher. You can always change these settings if you open the app from the app drawer.

Well, with this last update, you have added exactly what I was looking for, so thank you!

When making a theme widgets sometimes move each other.

When I try to add a zoomed widget in the same area as my weather widget, the weather widget was pushed off the screen and I can't get it back. Sure I can just try to make a new one but it's still running somewhere off the screen. Is there a way to list all widgets you have on screen? And delete them in that list? Or from a list default them to center of screen? I know the themer widgets can stack so why are they moving on their own? This is especially true if I try to edit a theme I download. As soon as I press configure or resize or add something the theme goes ape **** and everything just moves. Not using a custom dpi. Stock Rom galaxy note 3.

Hi vitessex,
We're not too sure how this happens, as testing it now reveals that a widget cannot push another one off the screen. However in your unlucky case, we suggest going into Themer's main settings - Advanced - Desktop - enable Allow overlapping Widgets. This should then just cause the widgets to overlap instead of jumping around.
Which downloaded themes are causing this? Most new themes should have the overlapping widget setting enabled to prevent this issue.

It seems to do it with all the themes I have downloaded. And even happened on the one I am making myself. But currently I will show an example with the theme "Coordinate." The overlapping Widgets option is enabled and this is what happens when I add a widget or edit in any way really.

I see. There might have been a bug during installation. Try this:
1. Uninstall Themer.
2. Delete the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/ folder (removing the Exported folder within it if you saved any themes).
3. Reinstall Themer.
Let me know how this goes.

[Q] EMUI Weather widget

Has anyone got the stock Weather Widget to work with a calendar? As seen in the screenshot, the widgetpicker shows the widget to the left with a calendar-reminder... just as in Googles "At a glance". I have never gotten this to work... just the clock and the weather. Is it a leftover from a previous design that didn´t make it to release or is it supposed to work?
How did you get the round icons with the default launcher?

Made my own theme... really easy. You need an iconpack and EMUI Theme Editor.

Thanks! Finally got it to work. That theme editor app is a pain in the ass, but eventually it worked. All my icons are round now, except Google docs, slides and sheets. They stay square, even though in the icon pack I downloaded these are also round. Don't understand why. I downloaded the Pixel Pie icon pack, as I want the Pixel icons. Maybe I should try an other Pixel icon app?

How did you modify the icons in Theme Editor? If you just applied the entire pack some icons are bound to remain unchanged. However... if you choose "Select Icons Manually" you can modify those icons that are missing. Also, you can change the dynamic icons (clock, weather and calendar) but the preloaded ones are not that good. It´s better to use "current" and then choose a static icon from your iconpack.
I felt Theme Editor was a pain too... but I actually paid for the full version to get rid of all the adcrap. After that, it´s amazing.

First I installed the whole icon pack and after that I modified the remaining icons manually. It worked on all the apps. But still, even manually, the Google docs, slides and sheets apps won't change. They remain default square-ish.
That´s strange...
I don´t have any of those apps so I cant check whats wrong. You restarted the phone, right? Sometimes it helps...
Google Docs, Google slides and Google sheets are part of the pre-installed Google apps (like Chrome, Youtube etc..), so you should have those on your Mate. Or did you delete them by adb or something?
I restarted multiple times of course.

I uninstalled them from day one... use Office 365 instead.
I downloaded Google Docs and actually got the same as you... no change at all. I have to admit, it´s the first app that doesn´t change for me, and I have done this for over a year.

Please stick to the original question and try not to deviate too much from it.
Please read the original question by Manneman32. I am also struggling to get the calendar in the widget weather to work and it would be extrimely useful.
Thank you all
Just found it. You have to use the widget with the time in the middle and the dare beneath it. Its the most left widget in the widget chooser.
