I've had two phone batteries die while in use, and when I plug the phone in, depending on the charger, the light does one of three things, ( as I have tried three chargers)
1. A white light will appear on my LED, and immediately go out.
2. White light again, but it will stay on longer, and eventually turn off.
3. (this has only happened once), White light appears, but green LED turns on for a second or so before shutting off and the phone still won't charge it.
The phone doesn;t have any problems charging a battery while the phone is ON.
Anyone?

I've noticed something weird while charging.
While my xda sits on the cradle with a full charge; a stable green light, all of the sudden it goes into charge mode again and the orange light flashes.
This also happens when the phone rang, and once I was tapping the screen, going thru some of the programs, it goes to blanking orange again.
Could it be like a trickle charge or something?
ThanX
Last night I was using my phone to take pictures. I put my phone in my pocket and it still had >80% battery life. I took it out about 20 minutes later and it was just completely dead, no response to buttons, no buttons worked, etc.
When I came home I plugged it in figuring the battery must have somehow died, but now I'm getting a red light blinking. I let it charge for some time now (over 5 hours) but it still won't turn on. I also tried the "hold both volume and power buttons" trick but the red light just stops blinking and starts again.
Any ideas?
Update: Now plugging it in does nothing. No light of any kind.
So I've just acquired a Commtiva N700. It's been sitting in a desk drawer for several years, and the battery is completely flat.
When I plug it in to charge, the red power light comes on, but it remains completely unresponsive. It doesn't even show up as a USB device if I plug it into a computer. After a while the power light will start flashing irregularly. Even after being left like this for a while, nothing happens.
I've followed the suggestion on one of the other threads of taking the back off, disconnecting the battery, leaving it for a bit, reconnecting and charging. I just get a flashing red light again.
I'm suspecting that the battery is so flat that the charger circuitry is refusing to charge it because it thinks it's broken, thus rendering it a brick.
Before I bin it (not worth replacing the battery on a thing like this!) does anyone know if there's any last-ditch recovery I can try?
hi, i'm unable to start my phone. all of a sudden it turned off while being on charger.
The LED now lights dim red (if on charger) and does nothing. Pressing any side buttons do nothing, just the led still lights dim red. Plugging off charger cable doesn't make any difference just the LED turns off.
Can this be due to battery not charging? It has power off shortly ago due full discharge. I plugged in charger, phone turned on for a while indicating charging by LED bright red. Phone was awake about several minutes, then this sudden die.
Any help is highly apreciated.
have you already long pressed the power button until the phone vibrates?
It was solved! The phone kicked in 30 minutes after, now behaves normal.
Anyway curious why the phone didn't start so long. Tho discharged it had power supply.
I replaced battery recently, so maybe a bad contact or the cord dropped out?
Hi guys,
I lost my Note4 so i foung my X10i that i havent used for 4 years.
I bought a new SE battery and put phone on charger overnight with a 2A charger. When trying to switch on the phone red light blinks only.
So i read some threads and saw that u must take out the battery and connect phone to charger then put battery back in, when i do that a green light shows and battery indicator shows battery is full then phone boots, but switches off again after 5 seconds when it has done booting and showing wallpaper. Last i remember i was on a custom ROM.
When i try to swithc on the phone normally the ed light flashes again
I suspect its a software issue, what must i do?
