Red light blinking, phone does not charge - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I lost my Note4 so i foung my X10i that i havent used for 4 years.
I bought a new SE battery and put phone on charger overnight with a 2A charger. When trying to switch on the phone red light blinks only.
So i read some threads and saw that u must take out the battery and connect phone to charger then put battery back in, when i do that a green light shows and battery indicator shows battery is full then phone boots, but switches off again after 5 seconds when it has done booting and showing wallpaper. Last i remember i was on a custom ROM.
When i try to swithc on the phone normally the ed light flashes again
I suspect its a software issue, what must i do?

[Q] One flashing red light

Why does this do this?
I left it on charge over night last night, to my surprise - it hadn't charged...
I have read all over about this, but this is different...
I connected it again, and one blinking red light came up, not the triple you usually get if it's dead...
this is the only response, and is continuous.
it finally turned on, I checked the status after turning everything off and setting it to airplane mode. it was at 1%...
2 hours later it was still at 1%, and then after 10 minutes i checked and noticed it said 0%.. then died.
It's now still plugged in and is flashing one red light again.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Hi.
Have you taken the battery out?, if not do so for 10 seconds or more and pop it back in see what that does.
Happened to me once, no matter what I did it didn't charge do i took the phone to the service center, they messed with something on the upper side of the phone.. plugged it into the wall and booooooom ... started charging again..
When I asked him what he did, he told me " it just needs a little magic ! "
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Haha cool
Yeah I'm gunna ring them up tomorrow, I tried that little trick but it didn't work.
It now shows no sign of life.
I'll let you know how it gets on.

Have you tried a different battery?
I don't know if we can fix this problem but as other posts above have said that mobile shops could be able to fix it.
You could be able to send it to SE but if your phone has been rooted or debranded you void the warranty.
i had the same problem last night, the battery died and then when i plugged it in it came on to charge, and then off again. after that point just blinking red light.
i removed the battery for some time, plugged it back in, and left it on charge for a bit and it came on.
i think the problem is, that when it starts charging, it wants to turn the screen on, which takes more power than the charger can give. so it goes into a loop. and dies.
but leaving it on charge helps (it worked for me)

X10 Wont start, Not recognized on pc. Can use Bootmode in wall socket

Hi everyone,
Some time ago my Xperia X10 suddenly got some error messages and i decided to just remove the battery and repalce it.
After i did this the phone wouldnt go further than the Sony Ericsson logo, so i pulled out the battery again.
After some time it wouldnt start up at all anymore.
I actually gave up hope untill a few days pack i decided to try connecting it to the pc once more.
when i tried to start in in boot mode (back button + connecting the usb) a red led started blinking with a 1 second interval.
So i tought if the led blinks there is life in it and i can fix it.
I fooled around with it a bit (note that my pc never really found the phone) and tried charging it in the wall socket.
When i try to start boot mode while connecting it to a wall socket a green led starts burning.
So i tought it might have been the battery, i ordered a new one wich came in today.
Sadly no help since the green light imediatly shuts down if i put in the battery wich has been charging for about 5 hours now.
Can anyone please tell me whats going on and if its fixable?
If you need anyomore info please ask because im sure i forgot some important stuff.
Thanks in advance.

I'm just trying out some more and found that:
-its not boot mode but just the green charging light comming up when i connect the phone to a wall socket without a battery
-there is no green light (so no charging?) when there is a battery in the phone
-with or without battery there is no green light when i connect it to my pc's usb (not enough power supplied?)

Phone won't charge dead battery, white light comes up

I've had two phone batteries die while in use, and when I plug the phone in, depending on the charger, the light does one of three things, ( as I have tried three chargers)
1. A white light will appear on my LED, and immediately go out.
2. White light again, but it will stay on longer, and eventually turn off.
3. (this has only happened once), White light appears, but green LED turns on for a second or so before shutting off and the phone still won't charge it.
The phone doesn;t have any problems charging a battery while the phone is ON.
Anyone?

Z5C Nougat(0.376) not getting charged even after the charger is detected

Z5C Compact is not charging or won’t boot up, Any help and suggestion Appreciated.
I have a Z5C Coral Brought from Malaysia(4 months ago) It is running the Australia Nougat Firmware 0.376.Yesterday and today I’m unable to charge my phone. Charger is getting connected, but phone is not getting charged. In Ampere(App) it shows USB Charger is connected but charging is Minus value (ex: -330mA).
Now the phone is 0% and I cannot boot the phone. When I plug the charger in it led shows red>green >blank and green stays on as long as you plugged the charger.
If I remove the charger the device will boot Sony logo >battery with red empty sign, then off or led blink red 3 times.
I tried connecting phone in different quick, 1500mA, 2000mA chargers, desktop, laptop USB2 & 3 port for few hours. But phone is not getting charged or booting up.
Thanks in advance for your help
UPDATE
I tried leaving the phone in charging mode green light for an hour (as mentioned in the above post.)
And the phone booted up in 14% charge. I did some backups and phone was shut down at 0%.
Now when I plugin the charger its showing red led> Charging with a Lightning bolt> then stays in red led for few mins> Then boots up with sony logo and then its > shows battery empty with 0%.
This cycle is repeating

Battery won't charge

My phone discharged completely to 0% and now it won't charge at all. I don't think the battery is working, but I can't ge the phone to respond.
When I connect it to the charger, the low battery screen turns on, then the phone begins booting, but as soon as the SONY logo flashes the phone stops responding. No red light is shown indicating charging.
I've tried holding the yellow off button near the sim card but don't get a response. Just whenever I plug it out and back in the same screens repeat.
I installed Lineage OS a month and a half ago and wonder if that might be the cause - with my last Suzuran I had Lineage OS for 3 months before the battery died (three red lights).
If anyone knows what the problem could be I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks.
Hello,
Try removing the SD card and try charging it again. Also use a new good charging cable (had a lot of problems myself)
