Hey guys first of all respect to uh all.
Now a big hope that uh guys will solve the issue ! Two days ago i was trying to flash a ROM...so dumb that i was flashing a ROM which was not meant for my device also forget some basics to wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache...after the installation complete device rebooted in a completely white display, i thought it would get start but didnt. Then i pull off the battery from phone thought that with cwm i will restore the backup...but the recovery was gone. I tried several times but even the recovery mode was not working ! Now my phone is able to charge the battery since the led is working and showing red and green light ! You guys are my only hope as i dont wanna go to service center.
Please help. AND IM SORRY IF IM POSTING WRONG THING ON WRONG PLACE.

a friend of mine has a hero but the calibration seems way off
mos of the times when he touches the screen in the middle and then the notification bar comes down:S
even if he tries multiple times it does it 10 times in a row
i think the screen calibration is off but not sure as i rooted it and put tastyginger on it(as the phone whas still default) but the problem still persist
i did a factory whipe and cache and the dalvik before i flashed it.
will that all make a new touchscreen calibration?
if not how can i make new touch screen calibration?
otherwhise i have to restore it to default and send it in for warranty?
or do you guys/girls think it wont be coverd by warranty

everything was fine ..ok but then i wanted (again) too put new firmware...
Installation was good ( it is not my first time to flash firmware) and my phone
my phone is rebooted but now i am stuck on screen after Samsung logo..in fact on animation with Blue s...
What i to doo guys..please?

Honestly, I would pick better titles next time.
Since this is not your first rooting, you did not mentioned anything about Download mode results once your phone is stuck at Samsung welcome screen.
What you mean i did no mentioned?
Can you get in Recovery/Download mode? If yes, your phone is easy to fix by wiping your cache/user data and reflashing your ROM with Odin. Where is the fire???

so the phone was on coffee table. I noticed it vibrates so i look at it . and its on a solid blue led light and the samsung logo is circling/glowing in a loop. so pulled battery , left for a few mins and turn on but its same problem?
its s3 uk . btu. its on 4.1.2 for a good 3 months . had phone maybe just a year never had any problems until today.

i can get it into donwload mode ,

The other mode is called recovery mode.
The factory reset will wipe your data - although most will be probably backed up and restored later.
Try that, if it doesn't work, flash with the download mode.

Did wiping from recovery mode not help? try that before trying odin, it's much safer.
Also, please follow all the instructions when dealing with odin, misuse can hard brick your device and turn it into 600$ useless paperweight.
no i just relfahsed with odin , and it restarted it then said re installing 0/200 apps like it started up first time then it restarted and now its back in a reboot loop

Weird, seems like a problem with one of the apps (?) since it was reinstalling them, factory reset from the recovery menu and see if that makes the difference now that you flashed with Odin.
If not please report back.
PS: wipe dalvick cache under advanced in recovery.
it wasn't reinstalling them. it was optimizing them because the cache was cleared. you need to factory reset. factory reset from stock recovery will also wipe the internal sd though
i am not rooted so dont have access to clr dalvik cache
flashuing stock rom with odin didnt work .
factory reset worked !!

Hi you would never guess what. It happened again. I restored all google apps say 100. Then I was using SMS back and restore to restore about 16k texts . I have lost about two months since the last back so my phone had handled more txtx s then 17k texts
Then it was stuck on solid blue led and glowing samsung logo again . So I just factory restored and now it's ok again ,but now I lost all my stuff again having stayed up until. 4am in the morning rode loading and re installing all apps
Seems like something is hitting all the cache causing the phone to semi brick ? Could it be a bad cache ? So when the phone writes to that caches it bricks it?

I just been googgling , is this what they call sudden death?
I did call up samsung service centre and my phone is still under its two year warranty so I got time to take it back.
He did seem helpful but issue is I have fixed it by wipe and factory reset so problem is now not present so not much he can do
The service centre did say if they can not find or repeat the fault then they can't do anything and would send same phone back. Having come from iPhone , it seems the service is not as good . When I had problems with my iPhone they just swapped it out after they plugged it into some machine.
It's been ok today. Though, it's restored all the same apps I had and it hasn't bricked itself yet thank god
I am using app back up and restore and it's sayings I got 290 apps lol

It was very normal. I had install rom on it from 4 months . It was very great and no stop, or anything.
But today suddenly the device when i open whatsapp or insta or scroll down bar notifications or do anything the device is stop working .. The display is working but stop !!! Then i have to remove the battery from the device and power on the device again!
I format the device from the Cwm and nothing was happend .. Its still attached!
I wiped the rum and install another rom >> WanamLite. And the same thing! Had to Remove the battery and power the device !! Please help! I cannot use the device!!

mega wipe and flash a stock f/w. (please use simple fonts to express the problem. )
First suggestion would be to either post a log or do a factory reset, failing that a clean Odin flash of stock firmware
Personally I do a clean flash monthly, back up everything, completely format whole device etc
Some may regard this as to much effort, personally I find it keeps things clean,I can always nail down problems easily as I'm not flashing dirty Rom after dirty Rom and accumulating junk....it also serves to keep basic skills and increases confidence in the whole process.

So, I'm here because I have a really big problem with my Samsung I9100.
Indeed, I will explain my problem. I installed the SENTINEL ROM 5.00 a few month ago, and I never had a problem before.
But yesterday, I don't know why, I have so much problem with my Network, (My friends haven't the same problem and we have the same operator, it's Orange)
So, I don't understood why I had this kind of problem. After a few minutes, my GS 2 shut down...
I tried to boot but It had no effect !! I fall in a reboot loop, whith no home screen.
After a panic I try so much solution :
Wipe Data, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache, reboot. Same problem ! Sometimes, I can access to the menu, but a few minute after, it shut down again.
I tried to restore an official firmware, no effect, He can't load, he is blocked with "Samsung animation boot".
I tried to restore with a ROM (Rootbox 3.91), no effect too, I can access temporary to my message, and after a few minutes, he shut down !
Sometimes, I just click in the home button (The only button), and it shut down !
I observed now, it can't book if I don't connect it to the alimentation's cable.
Really, I'm so lost, I understand nothing. Especially, I didn't do something special to make this...

It sounds like you would get into recovery-mode?
Do you have an ClockworkModRecovery?
Can you make a nandorid backup with the recovery?
Do you have an older Recovery you could restore without too much data-loss?
Is the battery ok? Can you start your Phone if you connect it with the charger? If yes I would recommand to backup as many iportant data as possible.
I'm running sentinelRom 5.0 too and I have no problems.

I had no problem with SentinelRom 5.0 since few month, but yesterday I don't know why, I have so much problem in the same time.
I can access to the recovery mod, and I restore my back up since the recovery mode. I tried to restore 3 differents ROM.
I don't know if the battery is OK cause in the screen, I have 100% but when I disconnect the alimentation's cable. It shut down ! And I can boot but after the first boot animation, It shut down !
I don't care about my data really, it's nice but I just wanna recover my phone with all his fonctionnality !
I alrealdy make a backup !
I am very lost cause I don't know why it do that :/

Couse if you can, it is the Battery. I had such a Problem with a Laptop once. The Battery was broken and it rebootet after a few seconds or minutes. I tried everything, to recover it and then I took out the Battery and it run perfectly well.

I can't start the phone whith the cable plugged and whithout the battery. Nothing appeared in the screen.
Dude, are you sure we can start the phone whithout a battery and only with the cable plugged ?
Because now, It can't start...
Sorry, I could't test it untill now, I didn't had my Phone. No we can't do this.
Do you have another Battery for sgs2? Or a friend of yours? Then youcould test it. Otherwise you might try another ROM...
