[Q] Google Dialer on NAB? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Has anyone been successful at installing the Google Dialer in KitKat on stock NAB?

Stopped Working for me
I installed per the directions (forgot link, but can provide if necessary) in System-Privy APP (I think)... also set permissions to 0644. It worked for a little while and then was no longer operational. Continuously got FC's. From there I uninstalled.

So no one else has tried? I'm extremely jealous of the dialer on the Nexus 5!

Yes, many have tried, but none of whom I'm aware have succeeded.

What is it about the Nexus 5 dialer you like so much? Is it the caller ID feature?

Sliding Messaging??

Since the major update for the Sliding Messaging app last night, I wanted to see how people's experience with it on the DNA (specifically if they are running ViperDNA 1.2) has been.
I have heard people saying it can be very laggy, and the mms/group text messaging can be buggy.
Thanks
Are you talking about an app? Or the slide gesture within the keyboard?
Adding my 5sense
Was talking about the app in general and how it performs for someone on ViperDNA 1.2
i have it on Newtoroot m7 sense5 and it is pretty laggy right now

The new cards interface is pretty laggy, but the classic interface is fine. :good:

It is an app in the Play Store (free version and a Pro version for .99 I believe)

VZ note 2 google voice

Has anybody had any success getting voicemail to work? My GNEX was Verizon as well and had no problem. But for some reason I can't get it to work on my note 2. TW and AOSP.

Maybe I should have mentioned it ported my vz voicemail to voice.

Works for me all the time. Make sure to set it as your vm provider through the phone apk.

Yes. I had some trouble with it at first.
The issue is it doesn't set up automatically and you need to fwd the number to your google voice account. Even though you add a cell number, you need to fwd it to your GV access number, get one if you don't have it.
Got it! Here's a link if any one else needs their number ported.

This doesn't work. It won't set up automatically like it does on other phones. Maybe on some roms, but vzw takes a bit more work to set up.

You have to configure it the right way. I use it on AOKP, stock, CM10, Carbon, MIUI, everything with no problems. You have to set it up on Google too.

Yes, read my initial post. I never said it didn't work. I said it doesn't work by just setting it as your VM in the phone.apk. I said you have to configure it on google. Your initial post was yep, it works, make sure you set it in the phone.apk. This wouldn't work and that is what I was commenting on.

Have you asked in that ROMs thread?? Probably get much better results that way as almost every ROM can be different and include some options and then not include others so it's really hard to say here... and you just said " aosp Google Edition" . there's a couple of those at least no??

It's a known issue, those that are running it are using a 3rd party messenger app like Textra

Just to make sure your problem isnt what i experienced, are you on the dark 5 v2 or did you flash the v2.1? If you flashed the v2.1 only, i suggest you start over and flash the v2 first and dirty flash v2.1. I lost texting when i went to v2.1 without flashing the v2. Only until i did the above mentioned way, did i get the messenging to work.

Device Freezing & Device Crashing (Two different devices)

Hi,
My Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 are running the latest "Stock" Android Lollipop with latest SuperSu & Latest Xposed, I have 20~ odd modules and the same apps that were on my devices when they were both on Marshmellow on which neither of the devices were having issues.
- My Nexus 4 randomly turns off and randomly reboots.
- My Nexus 10 randomly freezes, but only the touchscreen. The actual applications still work fine in the background because if a program is running on screen like a youtube video for example, it will still continue to play.
As far as I can see there is no pattern to the issues, how can I correctly see the necessary logs to try and find out what is causing the issues?
Thanks
I experience this problem always. As far as I can see the only issue is xposed try to uninstall xposed and clear davrik and see the results
