Hey guys,
I'm looking to replace a few parts on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
The only parts that are damaged is the grill at the front on the top of screen and the ensuing edging plastic around the screen.
Any ideas what parts to buy? (I'm from England)

Hi!
Look on Ebay and Amazone. Don't forget to search in the different threads, the question already been asked! :good:
Service manuals might help you work out what you need as well, they've been posted here from time to time, if an XDA search doesn't dig them up here, a Google search will elsewhere.

So I ask you fellow XDAers
where and how do i get these screens for the best price, PLUS a good guide on how to take the phone apart and then BACK together
thank you guys very much!
Cheers!

Yeah I saw the tear down before, however i feel like there are 2 many steps to just remove the screen...youtube vids show less steps its all very confusing..
ALSO putting it all back together is my main issue tbh..
hmm yeah sorry i cant find the link either but i know i had seen ti here before. anyways i found another one for you.
http://www.repairlaunch.com/repair/atrix-4g/
good luck. seems like alot of work.
Should be an easy fix since the screen isn't hot-glued or anything.
Gold luck.
Thank you guys!
Awesome to know that there are people that care
Cheers!
I cracked my screen and am not sure if a simple screen replacement will work since the crack extends past the screen and up to the earpiece, so its pretty much the whole height of the phone. How much would it cost to buy the parts to replace them myself (I know I can find a how-to on youtube or google) and do I need to do anything other than replace the screen?
I've also noticed my battery will drain extremely quick and take forever to charge, sometimes a day. Could this have come from damage when I cracked my screen or is it just another thing I need to replace?
Thanks in advance
Is it me? or does the phone in that picture not look like an i777 GS2. Are you in the right forum?

Then why does the back of my phone say "S II" on it?
it's a vibrant of the s2.. you should just ditch that and use the $220 to get an s3 on contract.

This isn't the correct place to post for your device . Stop posting about it herr and post in the slow rocket forums.

Its not what is outside your phone, but what is on the inside that matters. But if you still need confirmation, take off your battery and find the forum that matches your phones real model number (hint: it isnt this one).

The skyrocket guys don't even call their phones an S2 just because it's so different from the i777 and international s2 (completely different internal hardware).
Hello people yesterday my screen got i little crack in it. The amoled screen is ok it is working prefectly no damage at all. Its the outer front glass screen that is damaged. I can buy this Outer glass screen on ebay for like 5 dollars, but my question is can i replace this and how ? I couldnt fine anything on google or youtube.
Rubbish. I just did a Google search & got dozens & dozens of useful hits. If you don't have the basic initiative to find a how to, I very much doubt you have the aptitude to fix this yourself. Might want to leave it to more qualified people.
I think theres a post by Kilometer that has a link for the video.
Or theres one in a motherboard thread I created.

a interesting link about gorilla glass from corning
How tough is Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2? Corning puts it to the test.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wT8xI4PEU8c&t=1m48s
It is interesting because very people have doubt about the flexibility about glass screen replacement parts (ebay or amazon 20 box stuffs).
best regards,
I just contacted Samsung and asked how much it would cost to replace the glass on an S3. They quoted me at $131.31!
Glass can be replaced but must be carefull and dust can be problem if goes under the screen it looks ugly on sunlight.

This has been answer sooooooooo many times before. I don't get why it's asked anyway. It's so easy to look up dimensions of a phone. Plus why make two threads and three post for the same question.

fair enough I may have been able to put them all in one post, but there are three separate questions.
1. is there a cheaper place to get the e970 back
2. does the LS975 back fit E970
3. does anyone have 3D model of the back

Two of which didn't need to be asked if you followed rule 1. of XDA. Search before you post. They could have been asked in one of the many other Glass Replacement Back threads. The third question is valid and could have been put in new thread. But again you could easily have your answer in less than two minutes if you Googled the dimensions of each phone. PS no it won't fit.
