Hi,
So mid july I got the Grand 2 Duos. Worked great for a month, till it had a couple of OTAs come through, and I remember the Sim2 Sim Menu saying I need to restart my phone. I couldnt immediately, as I was on a call on Sim1.
Later, I was unable to make call from Sim 2 - restarted and No sim 2 icon. Went into settings and no network card on sim 2.
Swapped sim cards - Card 2 works great in Sim 1. No network Card for whatever you put into Sim 2 slot.
Tried rolling back to JellyBean via ODIN - get that error like other forums mention. Came back to NG3 / 7 version.
Done a total wipe - data applications and cache each time! Nothing helps at all.
If I did a *#0011# - I get basic information Sim 1 and Sim 2.
Sim 1:
GSM 900: IDLE
PLMN: 234-15
Tra: 99, BCCH:99, CID:5798
Rx Pwr : -73, Dtx : 5
RxL : 25, RxQ : 7, TxL : 5
Speech Ver: AMR EFR FR
VOC : Full Rate
Network : Unblock
IMEI : (M) PASS, 1 (S) PASS
Sim 2:
No Service
Network : Unblock
IMEI : (M) PASS, 1 (S) PASS
So, I would like to thereby beleive - it is a software based issue.
Please advise - Am Desperate to fix this - I would gladly throw it in a service center however this was bought in India and cos I live in the UK, Samsung Uk doesnt cover NON-EU phones!!!

Mate,
done that too - already on the latest NH6 i got off Sammobile. No good.
Any one... anything else????
Then try clearing cache and factory data reset...the flashing should have done it...it seems more like a hardware problem i think ...

Hi there,
I also had the same issue till some minutes ago when i found a solution.
First i tried upgrading using Odin to Android 4.4.2 since no OTA was offered in my country. After successfully doing that, i couldn't get Sim 2 to work and constantly had that ''no network card '' message when i went to Sim setting.
For my case, i switched off the phone, removed all the Sim cards and the memory card and switched it back on without them(SIM card and memory card). I then switched it off then installed the 2 Sim cards and memory card. To my surprise when i switched it on, i found the two Sim cards functioning normally.
I hope you find this helpful.
Thanks.

Hello everyone. Thank your for yiur suggestions and help. None of these steps worked. And i visited india feb this year. Took it into a Samsung Service Centre and they had a look and admitted that over the last fota upgrade my sim 2 radios fw did not upgrade and it was undetected by the system due to firmware mismatch. Made no sense to me however they took 45 mins to do a full flash and since then the fone works a treat!!! Infact its so good that without wifi or gprs and whatsapp on the battery lasts excess of 6 days and fone will last 2-3 days and approx 7 hours screen time full to dead. Love it.
As provided above,
I also switched off my phone & remove battery & sim card.. again reinserted ..
& now both sim working..
My base rom was 4.3 n upgraded to 4.4.2 by root..
One question..
How wluld I know. Which rom is mine..? NH6/NK6 etc.
See my device information screenshot..
Plz help
Sent from my SM-G7102 using XDA Free mobile app
I tried your procedure and to my surprise IT WORKED!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH!
Just download the 4.4.2 proper modem file (do a search on goole for 'model file for version v.4.4.2 download') and flash via CP in Odin.
Works like a charm
Hello,
I have an Elephone P8 (2017). After flashing an ROM image to the device, the NVRAM was overwritten and the operating system reported no IMEI. To fix it, I used the SN writer tool to re-enter the IMEI numbers, MACs and serial and re-installed the latest stock ROM from Elephone.
The IMEI numbers are back again but for some reason, the mobile network connection is only available for a limited time after booting. 20-30 minutes later, no mobile network is available anymore until I either reboot the device or toggle the SIM to be used for the mobile data connection.
Has anybody an idea how to get a stable mobile network again?
Is there possible that anything else is wrong or missing in the NVRAM beside the IMEI numbers?
This sounds like you flashed the release-version 20170722, not the first update 20170831.
Recheck. If in doubt, format whole device with SP-Flash-Tool and reflash 20170831.
Hello,
I installed the 20170831 stock ROM but "about the phone" in the android settings lists a baseband version with an older data:
Base-Band-Version: MOLY.LR11.W1630.MD.MP.V9.3.P10,2017/06/26 09:07
Kernel-Version: 4.4.15 [email protected] #1 Thu Aug 31 11:28:07 CST 2017
Build-Number: Elephone_P8_V11_20170831
IMEI-Numbers: 3598500800XXXXX
IMEI-SV: 78
SERIAL: ELEE800....
Same problem

Hi GoaSkin,
I have the same issue than you. I also overwrote my NVRAM and restored my IMEI with SN writer tool.
(If anyone think he bricks his elephone p8 (2017), he should try to flash a test version (he worked for me, when all the other version didn't work) then reflash with a recent version. )
SMS and 4G Internet works fine but phone call (3G/2G) don't work :crying:. (sometimes when I reboot my phone, it works again but it is rare).
I have the same version of Base-Band than you.
I will try to flash other version, to test if it works for me.
I'll let you know.
I found advices in other forums that people have similar problems on other devices using "Moly Baseband". They managed to solve this issue by using a different version of the moly baseband file when using the IMEI tool.
When you use the IMEI tool, you need to submit the baseband file beside the IMEI numbers and MAC addresses you enter. The baseband file comes with any firmware image. I don't know which baseband version was installed before I bricked the NVRAM partition but it is possible that the pre-installed version was a different one to that which comes with the (newer) firmware updates.
Maybe it is worth to try to downgrade the baseband version which comes with an old firmware image or to try if it is possible to use a baseband image that comes with the firmware of a different device also using Moly baseband.
Furthermore I found out using analysing tools that the phone is still able to get some information of the GSM network. Possible the mobile operator closes the network link caused by bad network requests.
Hi Dear Engineer and Develpoers , I have a critical issues in my rmx1921 . I upgrade to latest version andriod 11 . after that i tried to root it , it gives me destroyed image and recovery . unfortunatlly i have tried tone times to flash or use any system ,but it is in vain coz the device has bootloap .finally i found someone who wrote some fastboot erasing commands , on xda but I took them and use all of them , it removed my manfucterd vendor and wiffi and sim card and even camera and the device canot be read on computer as a sd card and internal phone memory . even my imei is unknown , I managed to flash system via fastboot mode , but i lost every thing in my mobile, (camera wifi sim cards imei )

Hey everyone, I need your help badly..
Device: Rmx2151
Android: 10
RUI:1.0
Bootloader: Unlocked
IMEI : NULL
Baseband: repaired
Problem level: software level(100% sure)
The Problem:
I can't use my sim card without wifi connect.
My nvram partion was corrupted, and so my IMEI and baseband was lost,(no backup)
I managed to recover baseband version by (as someone told me that it is mandatory to use sim card) deleting "nvram" folder from twrp file manager.
But my sim card still won't work, it only works when I connect to wifi, and as soon as i disconnect wifi the mobile networks also disappears,
Others who used the same method on this very device to recover baseband have a fully functional sim.
I also tried all other stock rom firmware files RUI1/2/3 A10/11/12
Heres how it looks:-
