Hey all,2 year newbie here, okay so my Rooted ,(thanks Framaroot dev!) deoexed VM Samsung Galaxy Ring has a boot animation issue that I cannot fix after trying so many things and literally combing the web.I tried installing a Custom Boot Animation with Rom Toolbox and now all I have is a black screen with the VM music..Factory reset, and still the same, even tried installing a good zip file, with full rw perm in /system/media,and nothing,i read that samsung uses a qnp file for their boot ani,so I read to one, delete samsungbootloop and another samsung boot file (cant remember what the other one was),put them back, then read to change zip file to a qnp, didnt work,Even after installing CWM recovery and flashing a deoexed rom still nothing..Am I missing a file that helps load it? Please help!!!!..driving me crazy!!

I installed a couple of custom roms that have custom boot animations and they display beautifully. However I decided to go with clean rom which has the stock bootanimation and I've been trying to change it with a custom one but it never changes. I used the root explorer method, doesnt work, I downloaded one of those utilities on the market to change bootanimation, when I hit preview current boot animation it display my custom one, but when I reboot or even re-import the custom one and reboot it displays the stock one.
I searched but I cant find an answer. Help please? How is it even reading the stock animation with the custom file replacing it?
EDIT: I thought to mention I am using a P7510 16GB
UPDATE: OK I re-installed the Omega ROM again and the default custom animation is running, looks like it will be OK now, so I won't bother trying to change it to a custom animation. I will update post if it doesn't work. Thanks!
I thought I had to install a custom boot animation via CWM.
So I did after I installed Custom Boot Loader via CWM aswell
It said Installation Aborted in the log and when I rebooted, it has a TINY DOT on the top left of screen and rest is black.
I read on Google that to install a custom boot animation I need to rename the file .zip correctly and place it in a folder.
Obviously I did it the wrong way by using CWM!
I am trying to unroot my phone with Kingo and the only thing that is bugging me is the Custom boot logo that won't go away on reboot or startup. I REALLY want to get rid of it. Any help?

Help please! I try to root my friend's s2 i9100g by flashing root zip file through twrp 2.7.1.0. When i boot into system, it didnt show any boot animation. How to solve it without losing any data? Quick answer please. Thanks!
By no boot animation I assume you cannot boot into android .
If you have a recovery do a restore then simply bootup android . also I don't know if you can move files in recovery or not but check .if so just move them to a microSD.
If you don't have backups you need a working recovery . ADB runs on a working recovery only . You can use pull/push commands of adb.

If not you need to flash a recovery that works .
Flashing most stock ROM's as far as I know formats internalSD so read before attempting to do .
PLUS : s2 i9100g is a different device than i9100 . Meaning recovery-rooting-roms are not compatible with each other ...
Hello! I recently rooted with kingroot to try and change my boot animation. I downloaded a Gamecube bootanimation from reddit, and I also have the Gamecube mp3 soundfile. I am using an S4 with lollipop. I followed all of the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2215367 and still haven't been able to change the animation. I have no recovery. The samsung binary bootanimation file got deleted (by me) also. So I have zero boot animation. Just a samsung logo.
I don't really care about the samsung bootanimation, so it's recovery is pointless. I want to be able to boot my phone with custom sounds and animations from the system\media folder, instead of samsung's system\bin folder.
As a new rooted user, I must say that I love the control I have over my startup, and am loving the extended battery life and security. Thanks for your help!!
