Power back - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

Hi,
Is anyone using a power bank for his note 3?
There are various marks with different capacities. However, I'm not sure that using them is harmless for my phone.
Please advise.

Everything is the same with the i9220 & i717 except the radio right?
sent from places you don't want to go...
I think the i9220 is the international version.
So different back plate, no nfc and different processor as well.
But the dimensions should be the same.
Hoping this case snaps over top the i717.
I believe the i9220 is the UK version of the note? Same dimensions, but you never know...
The exterior dimensions are the same. I can see some compromises were made to the design, because of the Spen. I'd be a little concerned about the smallish charger. They should have designed it with the charging port integrated to the case like many iPhones have. This would have given it a more finished, put together look. Still awesome to see so many options for cases, extended batteries and charging out there!

My reasons for getting this particular extended battery case is:
1) didn't make the Note any longer
2) has a built in kickstand
3) option for charging another device that takes micro USB charger
4) easiest on/off case I've seen.
5) because it says "Galaxy Note" on the kickstand
I will order this in a couple days.

Curious to see how it does. If it's at least as good as another standard battery it'd be worth it.
I bought a similar one from Chinavasion. And it was also an international version. It fit perfectly on my at&t note.

Oh its different cause since it actually counts as charging the battery it doesn't record that. See I can do 5 hours on my stock battery alone and I know for a fact that I can double it with the battery case. Its a battery case so it keeps my battery at 100 for about 6 hours and then my stock battery takes over. Do you understand what i mean?

NFC Not Working

I tried multiple roms including ACOP CP2.1 and Black Star V and NFC doesn't work with my dads s3. I turned nFC on and android beam along with wifi and wifi direct. Any thing im missing? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I have the exact same problem. I have been trying different roms on my note for the past 2 days and its a no go on CM9, AOKP either. I have been trying to use NFC with my GF's stock ICS Note
Umm yea. NFC also known as (Near Field Communication) technology is built in to the phone battery. If u want to check it should say it right on the phone battery, our Galaxy Note don't come with the NFC battery unfortunately.
Sent from "The King Kong of the cellular jungle, the Galaxy Note!" using Tapatalk 2
Umm our notes don't need a NFC battery man... The back plate has the NFC chip built on it. Galaxy Note i717 is the only Note with NFC.
I know it is possible but can't get it to work...

I ran collective cp1 and now collective cp2 - on my i717 and nfc worked in both
Loving its functionality especially combing it with Tasker
by the way it first didn't work for me until i realized it was my leather case - the case replaced the original back panel and the original back panel had metal strips that served as the nfc antenna - the replacement case did not have these strips so my NFC did not work until i replaced the original back cover

Ok. Maybe a little more specific? The only time I even tried NFC was at a SGS3 display at a Costco. They have 3 little NFC tags that when you set the back of the Note over them, it launches the browser to a tutorial on the SGS3. Other than that that, I've found no other use as of yet.

People having issues enabling NFC, did you get it to work? I just received a replacement Note and I can't get it to work. NFC worked great on my last one.

Thanks. I ended up flashing a near stock ICS ROM to test NFC and it worked in that ROM. When I received my replacement Note I put DAGr8's latest AOKP on it right away. Now that I knew that NFC was working I re-downloaded the latest release AOKP release, Sep 28, and flashed it but NFC wasn't working. So I re-downloaded the last 2 versions of AOKP, Sep 19 & Sep 28,verified the MD5 and flashed them over each other in TWRP. That got NFC working in AOKP for whatever reason for me :silly:
Maybe someone could link to a pretty 9/11 cm10 nightly and then we could try a similar idea. I would try it

It could be a microcontroller sending a command too, not sure how far Samsung went to prevent clones, could even use a microcontroller running an encryption algorithm which could be difficult to reverse engineer. Best option would be to probe both ends with an oscilloscope.

Try (if available for your device) using Odin to flash back to stock. Been reported by a few that this has worked for them. Not sure if this actually fixed the issue or not but I booted into stock recovery, wiped the cache then rebooted and haven't had it happen since. Seems this is a common bug attached to stock 4.3 for a lot of folks.

My sg3 has been loosing power while plugged in and operating. This happened to my old sg3 and got a new one from my warranty. Just leave it there to charge, don't use it when charging,it is bad for your phone and battery.
Use galaxy charging current lite to check if it charges properly. I had the same problem and the I fixed it by buying a new charger
OK thanks
