Wrong kernel I think, flash stock kernel first, or stock based kernel, for stock roms stock based kernel must be flashed and for cm, different cm based kernel.
i i istalled this kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2132641
and the stock HK firmware in first line but the problem are still here
im pretty sure its a wrong kernel problem

phone relocked for pc companion restore procedure. pc companion work fine and restore my V, but problem persist.
i have not any idea

When i install Wolfbreaks v5 rom, do i still need to install the Update4.0.4? Or do i need to install the WBv5 only and you're done?
Thanks!
Just the v5 rom.
+1. You can choose one with stock kernel or custom, 1 zip, flash with xrec gb ready version.

if you have followed all the steps correctly then it will boot, first boot takes a while.
Sorry to add on this thread but it seems that I dont need to create a new one for my Q.
I want to install WB v5 too but not sure about one thing, it says it's for unlocked Bootloader. I have Achotjan CyanogenMod 7.0.3 SE Remplacement ROM installed and I want to try something else since the battery life is horrible.
If I have to unlock bootloader, is there a way to do it straight from the rom I am in or should I downgrade to 2.1 first. Sorry but all the tuts about how to unlock bootloader are a bit complex and I couldnt find info about that scenario.
Thanks guys.

Where does it say that?
I have a locked bootloader and I'm using v5.
It works for both locked and unlocked bootloaders. Says so in the changlog.

So, I guess this is the general thread for problems with WB's v5.0? If not I can make a new topic.
Anyways, I installed v5.0c, but it never boots up. It either hangs on the Xperia logo or the screen goes black. It goes like this:
1. white Xperia logo
2. Goroh custom kernel loading
3. back to the white Xperia logo or the screen blacks out
I've tried waiting 10-15 minutes, but it just stays on that screen. I suspect it's a problem with Doom's kernel. So I pulled the battery, booted up into Xrecovery and flashed Goro's kernel. Now it boots up fine, but I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and if there's fix as I would really like try out Doom's kernel.
This ROM doesn't appear to like my phone or something I have on it at least. With the following loaded I can get my phone to boot, I see the lock screen and can unlock it but after that I just see the blue Sony background, nothing else. Power and volume popups work.
x10_2.3.3_stock-with-xrecovery-v3.ftf
x10_gb_stock_wifi_modules.zip
Wolf_Xperia_5.0.0s.zip
Nevermind, user error. Wiped everything and reflashed, radio, wifi and phone are all working

Hi
I have tried all day to install ICS on my Neo V, and I always end up in a boot loop (after the XPERIA logo it restarts). I have tried KA06 ICS and another Sony based ICS ROM.
I'm pretty new to this and I'm not sure what info you need so please ask away.
One thing I noticed is that whenever I clear the dalvic-cache it gives an error (not mounted or something i think?)
Thanks

Did you succesfully unlocked your bootloader and installed a custom kernel?
Thats what i did to install k6 on my neo v.
1º Flash .64 baseband.
2º Flash .62 baseband with flashtools(check exclude baseband).
3º Flash kernel.
4º Recovery wipe all + install k6.
5º Flash neo-v patch.
if i install .64 baseband im stuck on xperia boot image loops.

Sorry for my bad English...
@krabappel2548 It came unlocked and with a custom 2.3 rom when I bought it. I can install a stock 2.3 rom using flashtool fine.
@equlog Yes this time I didn't flash the 64 baseband from the KA thread and just left the stock one on. (I had .62 stock)
@wilsonchuchu I tried that but it didn't help
EDIT: Somehow it works now! I flashed the stock rom again and have been using it for a while (I rebooted a couple of times), then I flashed the non-oc kernel and this time I was able to clear the dalvic-cache. The rest worked fine and I've just booted in to the phone. I'm not sure why it worked this time because I've been doing this all day.
Now for KA7 lol
Thanks for your help

You're welcome I also updated Neo V patch
KA06 looks really good, just one problem so far (if you can call it that) the cosmic flow live wallpaper crashes every time I try to add it. The other live wallpapers work. Is this because the hardware acceleration isn't fully implemented yet?
Downloading KA07 now

Will u made a mod when sony release official ics? i hope ^^
I've just been reading some more about the fw/basebands and it looks like the .62 firmware does include the .64 baseband. Looking in about phone seems to confirm that. Am I right?
.62 f/w has .64 baseband
Thanks, so for anybody else having problems with the Neo V it seems the best way would be:
1: Flash .62 firmware
2: Flash KA kernel.
3: Boot into recovery, wipe all + install KA.
4: Flash neo-v patch.
Here is the stock firmware .62 as an update.zip (for installing with ClockWorkMod): http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1518148
These are for flashtools: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1445974 (I used this one), http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1492145

I think I may have found the battery life problem. Looking at the battery usage under settings, the gallery app shows by far the most battery usage. When I go to apps and find gallery I see it's running a service called picassa sync. Disabling picassa sync on all the Google accounts and then force closing the gallery app seems to fix the battery usage. Can some other people please try it and confirm if it works?
After doing this the cpu time and amount of the battery used by the gallery app does not get any higher, even if I make sure the gallery is running again and it moves down the list and the highest battery usage becomes the screen.

happened to me just now in KA12 ICS after I tried to remove the onscreen buttons
off topic
and about the widgets.. did anyone seems to have a problem with it? I have this battery widget after putting it up in homescreen, it doesn't move at all though the battery is decreasing, the widget stays the same. Same with player pro widget, you can press the next button fine but the music title and the album thumbnail stays.
(Sorry for my english) Hi folks, I have a problem... using the search button I saw many threads talkin' about touchscreen's problems.
I tried with the many solutions over there, but my problem is different.
I installed the Legacy Xperia 4.3 Rom, after that, my phone starts to have problems with the touch.
When I used the sliding qwerty keyboard, touch doesn't work, but when I used my phone in vertical mode, it works for a couple of seconds.
Then, I remove the Rom and I used the 4.2.2 Rom from Legacy Xperia.
The touchscreen doesn't work even in the recovery menu. At first I thought that it was a hardware problem, but when I replace my touchscreen the problem still doesn't fix. I noticed another thing. I can't flash >4.1 kernels anymore. I tried to flash the same 4.3 kernel that bricked my touch and my phone doesn't boot at all. With another kernel, my phone turns on properly. Please, help me... :crying:

Yes... I tried many solutions, like Aroma method, Active ROM method, flash stock ics rom metod, but nothing changed. I think that my problem must be a software problem because now I can't flash any >4.1 kernel.

Try flashing the following combination :
Lupus Jb v7 kernel (link : http://goo.im/devs/wedgess/LuPuS-MPDI-Kernels/JB/mango)
Hepta Error Rom (link :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336571)
I swear mini pro feels like its possessed or something (generally speaking )
For me, the LegacyXperia ROM and its kernel always gave problems with touch and my right soft key would go haywire. The only stable combination that worked for me is the one I posted above. Try it, and see if it helps!
Hey there.
it seems i have a big problem.
i just bought a new XU and first everything was fine...
i unlocked the bootoader and tried some roms... until i found one that was not working.
the instructions said i have to slash 4.0.4 stock... so i did...
since then rearly every rom (even the stock roms) arent responding to any touch.
there is a rom which i can flash that is responding... but for now its only one rom!
in recovery everything is fine its just the rom itself that seems to make problems...
what can i do?
even if i flash to stock the touch display is not working....
I have the same problem!

may be it is due to the hardware problem, u can test touch screen by typing *#*#7378423#*#* in your dialler!!!
or try flashing stock gingerbread via flashtool, it may help.
press thanks if i helped
The screen is working...
but only with this Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974430 and in recovery.
None of the FTF-stock roms is working for me.
I think it may be a driver error...
but etc/hw_config.sh is identic so no error here...
toch screen test is also passed...
There is no problem with the mentioned rom i.e. that network isnt working...
Hope someone can help
I too have the same problem sometimes..... I think it is the problem with the kernel

Same kernel, same base rom... one is working the other one dont...
compaired roms: st25i_6.1.1.b.1.100 generic - user_sony - Ultimate Z1
EDIT: i had some success... it seems that the problem is somewhere in the update-script... i copied the whole META-INF folder from the generic over the ultimate Z1 folder... and the touch worked! almost everything else didn't but this is a small success i think....
I am using an Xperia Sola. Lately I have tried installing many non-stock based roms, such as KitKat, Carbon, SlimKat, CM11, etc.
I wasnt able to receive mobile data on none of them. I used to have an Xperia X10 Mini (E10i), which I was not having such problems. On both staock or CM Roms, mobile data used to work. But on this Sola it is not working I so desperately want to have one of this KitKat Roms on my phone but without mobile data it is no good for me as I am not having any other internet connections such as DSL or Cable at home.
Any help would be granted deep from my heart.
PS: I tried many tricks such as, turning on Roaming, backing up APN's on stock rom then restoring them on KitKat or turning on and off the Airplane mode. Actually it seems like the mobile data is not functioning on my Sola in all those Roms, because when I turn it on, it doesn't lag as usual. It suddenly gets on and off as I hit on it.
Thanks in advance.

Try flashing another baseband with flashtool, better if it's the baseband that comes with your carrier's rom.
I had the same problem with MIUI and that solved it.

Try another one from GB, maybe.
All the basebands have more or less the same version number, so don't pay attention to that.

I already tried an GB but not working either.
I flashed an indian stockrom. It was having the same baseband with the KitKat. But on KitKat there is no mobile data. I think the problem is not related with the baseband.
I still have some shots. Lets see what will happen.
I am so Annoyed
Yesterday, I relocked my bootloader. Recovered my Sola via Sony PC Companion. Then unlocked it again. Tried to flash the ultra xperia rom. but no, I couldnt get mobile data again. on stock based roms there is no problem. But on custom based roms, it is not working. Is it Kernel related or Rom related or baseband related? I just can't find any solutions. I configure the APN's correctly, tried also the Plane mode on and off, I tried the settings on *#*#4636#*#*. but none of them worked.
I just dont know what to do now. Do I have to stick on stock roms? But the kitkat roms look so nice :crying::crying::crying:
Please somebody help me...
