Root lg optimus l9 p76920h 4.1.2 JB - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

How to root lg optimus l9 p76920h 4.1.2 JB? Ive been searching but cannot find anything and Im hesitant to use lgpawn because I read(from one post lol) that it can cause your phone to freeze after if factory reset it and the only way to unfreeze it is to take the battery out. Please is there anyway to root said model without?(preferably without lgpawn)

Yes... Just use Cydia Impactor. I've used it to root a couple devices now, including the L9 MS769. It's an incredibly easy root method to use. Plus it doesn't install a foreign superuser app and it doesn't have any spyware.
Download the Cydia Impactor tool to your pc from the Cydia Impactor website. Extract the zip to a new folder on your desktop. Connect your L9 to your PC with USB debugging enabled and open the extracted cydia folder and click on and run the Impactor.exe, when the Impactor tool opens just click on the start button. Cydia will root your phone in like 5 to 10 seconds.
Download SuperSU from the play store, install and done.

Thank you so much. This worked for me too. I was able to remove bloat apps with Titanium Backup free version.
Will this work for MetroPCS version of the same model ?

I tried to run cydia on my ****ty laptop running vista and it said "not a valid Win32 application"
The reason i tried cydia is because my LG Optimus L9 P76920h just kept rebooting every time i hit "root me" on LGPwn......any ideas? ...and i do have spritebud

Worked great
Just used it on my L9 running P76920h. Worked like a charm, thanks for the tip, and thanks to Saurik for the Cydia Impactor!

Need help rooting Sanei N78 tablet

It has 4.1.1 JB(kernel version 3.0.8+). I installed drivers for the tablet on PC, tablet has USB debugging enabled, unmounted storage. I tried some rooting methods and it had no effect at all(Superoneclick - it stops on step 7, waiting for device, manually rooting - adb shell won't run when i enter the command, root by Bin4ry - it processes the entire operation and competes it with no errors and for some reason it had no effect also). Any suggestions or solutions?
Nobody?

Do a search and you'll find the solution elsewhere - it requires that you install a new ROM that's already been rooted. Apparently only Sanei N78 distributions earlier than 2013 can be rooted. Later ones can't.
Thanks for the information. I'll try it.

i would suggest you swing over to the techknow.me forums and check there u may be able to root using the uberizer tool that they have for a10 and a13 devices. I can verify that it works because i used it to root my Sanei N91
I received a sanei n79 on 4.1.2.. I also was wondering on how to root so i googled a bit and came across a website SRSdotcom/support and scrolled threw the list till i found my device. I used the SRS one click root tool and it rooted my device. It installed superuser without a hitch. Now my only question is if they are any roms for this device.. or how can i take out some of the preloaded apps

I did not create Impactor nor Snappea, I just managed to figure out Impactor works to obtain root on this device and many others

Make SURE you have USB DEBUGGING turned on
Next, you will need suitable drivers, there is a way to install drivers elsewhere but a much quicker way is to go to www.Snappea.com and install this program on your PC, it is just a program that allows your phone to better interact with your PC but the bonus is that it can install generic drivers (including that much needed ADB driver) for almost any device! Once snappea is installed simply connect your phone to your PC when Snappea prompts you to.
Finally go here:
http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/
Download Impactor and unzip the file, once unzipped simply open the Impactor folder and double click the Impactor Application. This will pop up a box that says Cydia Impactor at top on your screen. You should see a drop down menu that currently says "# drop SuperSU su into /system/xbin/su". Make sure that command is showing in the drop down box and press the start button on the right side.
Once this completes you will just need to download your favorite Superuser or SuperSU app onto your device then update binary and you are rooted!
Good luck!!

You can use this thread.

What I did was extract everything to my desktop and put it all in the same folder then download tr.apk and put it inside the files folder then run install.bat as administrator. A couple of things I noticed were that restarting your phone before connecting ( so you get the trust this computer adb message) and not letting your phone go to sleep helped. If you have any more Q's just let me know. It may take a couple of runs but, it will work. Good luck m8:good:

A tip to install apps on Androids using a PC

Hello friends, I got a tip to install APK files on Android media using the Cydia Impactor. I used Cydia Impactor which downloaded from Cydiaguru.com and then navigated to the Cydia Impactor page. All the Android APK files are able to install using the sideloading process. My Samsung Galaxy S6 installed multiple apps using this method.
