Our main goal is to port the HTC Sense to all non-sense devices.
Developers currently:
- Whosdaman
Kernel DEVs
- IN NEED
APKs Modifiers
- IN NEED
ROMs Porters
- Captainkrtek
Anyone else want in? We are in need of developers for the Fascinate. If you wish to join in let me know and I'll be more then glad to fill you in. It's a closed project, but will be public to everyone once we get it ready.
UPDATE: We will be basing the ROM port off of the Desire Z for all devices over the Desire HD due to landscape support in sense, keyboard support for Epic, new sense, and overall performance.

awesome news!
DANG it.....
wholy crap I would love to see this.
Great news. Added the two posts you requested. Why would you not use irc.freenode.net though ? It's where #xda-devs, the mod channel, etc are also located. And I know some of the members you mentioned in the post already hang there
I know , I am klined on freenode....im in the process of getting unbanned right now though. So soon as I am, we will switch.
Thanks Chain
IncredibleDoes would be a good person to contact. He's a beast at porting ROMs, especially Sense ones.

No, but he has a Port Patcher that in theory can help port ROMs to any device. Even if he can't test himself, I'm sure he'd have some good insight for you.

Hope this works out but after owning my droid and seeing many try to port sense to a non htc device i will not get my hopes up. But you get it running smooth and as a daily driver i will donate.
Donated and would love to beta test.
Dear Members,
I have been away from XDA for a bit and I am just now returning. I always loved the Carbon Espresso and The Espresso Skins from where I had my Desire HD. I cooked them into many roms that I released in that section of the forum. I was wondering if someone is willing to port those skins for a donation. One is in the Fresh Rom. Looks very nice:
Bright Silence Thread for Original Skins Carbon Espresso and Espresso:
Links:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755026
If you successfully port these, please PM me and I am more than willing to donate to you. I don't understand M10 files while I am learning this, I am up for a joint project. I am going to be releasing roms for CDMA 3D. So thanks to all in advance.

Firstly...sorry if its in wrong location.....move if required!
Hello all,
I'm asking for a Rom chef or some one able to port roms to help us little HTC Salsa users out!
We are currently lagging behind in what u guys use, so far we have 5 roms...yes 5 roms lol, x2 3.5 sense roms, 3 2.1 sense roms ( 1 has Multi launcher ).
We would like CM7! if this is at all possible... wildfire s has it and its our sister phone
we do also have problems with kernels...or there the lack off! couple of Dev's have tried and didn't get anywhere!
anyone willing to helps us out?
I have vast knowledge and test experience on here.... references can be given lol!
i have all and any files inc ext3 support.
Ive also created a page/site just for the salsa based roms...
We just want more lol.
PM me or reply i always respond!
Many Thanks BigBear
Dear Yasir, Atis112, Prototype-U, ckpv5, MaartenXDA, xpirt, The Android Manual and fellow devs,
I have downloaded all your ROMs and installed them faithfully on my phone. However I must express my utter disappointment that these ROMs aren't running Key Lime Pie. Why are you so lazy?
Also, my phone does not turn into an umbrella when it's raining. WTF is this? How can you ignore such basic stuff? It doesn't walk my dog, or chop my vegetables. I wanted to use my phone as a lightsaber to impress all my friends, but can I do this with your ROMS? No!
You use excuses like: "We don't have kernel sources from HTC", and manage to give us a measly 4.2.2 ROM / Sense 5 themed ROM / Sense 4+ Full / CM 10.1 instead!? Really it's just that you are not listening to us, your non-paying customers. Why should we donate to you or support your work when we can't even play the latest PS4 / Xbox One games on our Desire X. Is that too much to ask?
So, please get with the program, and make us some awesome ROMs with no new sources and nothing but endless hours of hacking and slashing at code to work with. We promise to do nothing but moan at you and suggest how you should spend your volunteer time and efforts.
Sincerely,
A random noob

Sense 5 ROM...? Where!?
Haha. Nice one OP. A very unique way of thanking.
Your welcome. I hope we will get more devs with time and then you might get more distractions, like fully working cmx and bug free sense 5.
And I would include even more people like maartenxda, xpirt, TAM, who are making each day better than last.

OP - very well said mate, most of us are acting this way and want everything not for today, not for tomorrow but for yesterday.
Most members are asking for ETAs everyday, when its been said many times not to do so, many members are moaning about non working stuff, without donating, without thinking that this is what Development means - stuff being fixed needs time, time which our not many, but working devs need to spend for us, not for their private life.
So i agree with you and i wish all of us to be more friendly and more patient with the development and developers we have here.
Thanks for this one. You should become a news writer on XDA Portal creating an article about the missing kernel sources for JB...

There's a serious point to this post, which is that there are people who are making attacks against devs, criticising people's efforts while having made no contributions themselves, and generally going against the spirit of XDA (that is to foster a community of people committed to learning and developing together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and courtesy). So stop with the moaning and the whinging. the ad hominem attacks, and the armchair developer schtick. Give developers the respect they deserve. They volunteer their time and energy on the things they choose to. They don't owe us anything.

some of the names mentioned above arent even devs :S
^
exactly why this thread was made, they may not be "devs" but they are still dedicating plenty of personal time to you and all others here, they made things noone else would do and let everyone to benefit from it, further development included, they are pushing desire x in others eyes up, they should be thanked, not labeled as "not dev, pfff"...
Exactly, lack of respect, they may not be a developer but sure they release amazing modded Roms.
Deal with it fella.

These links are to hard to find and hard to download ROMs to which are just being mirrored.
I will be laying the contents out as plainly as possible and just as easily downloadable for people
on XDA or Tapatalk forums apps.. These are by no means all the options available to the Rezound
just everything that I am allowed and have.. If you have anything you want me to mirror give me

May want to consider just linking to each thread. Not only for support reasons, but also to remove the need for you to keep your zip files up to date. Also, I'm not sure about others, but since I maintain multiple devices I track the download count to see interest and if I need to keep supporting those particular devices. Mirrors hurt those numbers. This idea is very helpful though, thanks

Some of these ROMs aren't available anymore or the links are hard(er) to find. I had forgotten to reserve a post but I will look up the links and post them in an edit. Thanks for the encouragement without being rude or mean. Need more people like you in these forums.
Suggestion
j32854, while your intentions are noble, I'd prefer links to my threads rather than mirrored uploads of the roms for both reasons listed by TheBr0ken
I think it's a great idea however to have a thread set up with a link to all of the roms and threads available to our device and will make it much simpler for users to find exactly what they're looking for! Kind of a "aroma style pick your rom" if you will.
May I suggest a format that I feel would be best? You could make it similar to the following with linkable titles directing users to the appropriate threads:
Kernels:
ics
sense
link1
link2
link3
etc
aosp
link1
link2
link3
jb 4.2
aosp
link1
link2
link3
jb 4.3
aosp
link1
link2
link3
Roms:
(follow around the pattern listed above).
For firmware no longer available anywhere on XDA and part of your collection, you will need to try and contact the original author of the rom/kernel/mod/script and ask for permission to host it for users.
Not only are you helping users out, but you would be helping the developers also in making their work more readily available to the community.
Thanks for taking the initiative to help out!
-Neo
EDIT: Also, this probably belongs in either the Rezound General or the Rezound Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section as a GUIDE.
Your fellow neighborhood mod would be happy to assist with either moving it or instructing you where the thread should be created
@IAmTheOneTheyCallNeo
I think his intents/purpose was to make those roms that the link were dead to bring them back active again. Speaking of which. I don't mind having a mirror, although very rarely RARELY does my host go down for maintenance.

Whatever the intent, I know it was for the benefit of our community which isn't being challenged here.
Edit: fyi, all 4 aosp roms mirrored are easily still available in the development threads

My only concern would be the lack of permission from devs, I'd ask for permission from a dev before mirroring their work. There are some out there that no longer want their work linked at XDA for example.

I would like to publicly ask the chefs/devs to link to the OPs and/or help mirror the work that has been done.
I want to apologize if any infringement has been done and will take your specified work down if you so desire.

and would like to keep things either for nostalgia or just for the help of fast mirrors.
