[Q] Sorry BOOT LOOP problem,but BLACK SCREEN !!! - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys
I'm new here so I hope you can help me.
I have Samsung galaxy S2,not rooted with original firmware 4.1.2.
I never had problems like this.Yesterday I was on my phone using Facebook application on WI-FI.After a while my phone restarted by it self and it was frozen with SAMSUNG GALAXY S II logo.I waited but it restarted by it self again and again it was stuck with the logo.It couldn't start up the phone.I took out the battery few times, started the phone and again the same problem.Only once after a some time of waiting and pressing the Power and Meny buttons together I think it started the phone and got only to other SAMSUNG logo, and the it restarted again by it self.I pressed the POWER Button and the menu button together, but nothing happened. After few other tries of restarting, battery taking out.......another problem. The phone can't start at all now.I can't even get the SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 LOGO.The display is BLACK now, nothing happens.
I was reading on internet today that this is called BOOT LOOP,and I can fix it by pressing all of the three buttons at the same time and then do a FACTORY or MASTER RESET...........BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT I CAN'T START THE PHONE AT ALL TO GET TO THAT POINT WHERE I CAN DO A FACTORY RESET!!!!
I took my phone to some repair shop and they told me that the battery is OK,and that maybe the problem is BOOTING or the Processor.
PLEASE HELP ME TO START THE PHONE UP,SO THAT I CAN DO A FACTORY RESET or if there is some other solution !!!!!
Thank you in advance
juno106

If you can't boot to download mode or recovery by any way then you have 2 choices:
1.Get yourself a usb JIG and pray
2.Replace the motherboard

You think that the processor is dead?Ufffffff....that is not what I expected.and what is that USB JIG.I don't think that I have that thing in my country. There is no another way to start the phone?

Some info about the jig
forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/ref-usb-jig-faq-frequently-questions-t1402286
Also try this:
take out the battery, hold volume up+home+power buttons and then reinsert battery without releasing the buttons.

What more information do you need? I wrote everything what happened with the phone.
It has original firmware Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and never have been rooted. It is bought from Australia on OPTUS network, unlocked. I had downloaded some pirate .apk's,but didn;t have problem before.
I was using Facebook application on the phone with WI-FI at the time it started BOOT LOOP.I took out the battery few times, started the phone but I still got only to SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 logo and it restarted by it self. I tried few times pressing together the POWER and MENU buttons together........nothing happened. Then after few attempts to start the phone,it suddenly stopped working. The display stopped working and it went BLACK,and now nothing happens even if I press all of the three buttons : VOLUME+POWER+MENU.......I can't start up the phone at all,to make FACTORY RESET.That is the problem now.I tried with another full battery ,but still nothing happens.I CAN GET THE PHONE TO START AT ALL.I ONLY GET BLACK SCREEN.
So if someone can help me to start the phone somehow and then try to do Factory reset !!!

Most probably your nand memory somehow got corrupted.
JIG,though in very rare cases, may force the phone to boot into download mode.
Imho, you shouldn't waste the time and get a new mobr a new phone.

What is MOBO,a motherboard? What about a link which I found where you can change some CAPACITOR only ON THE MOTHERBOARD?

Yes,a motherboard.And what link??Sorry bro,just don't get your hopes high.If it's dead it's dead.

I can't post it here, because I'm new member.I found some link where they say if you have water damaged phone and have short circuit, the problem is replacement only of some capacitor.......

[Q] [q] vibrant does not restart after update with kies

Please help!!!!
After a couple of days of investigations i flashed the new vibrant through odin with the firmware t959uvjfd. Everything worked well.
After this i connected the phone through kiesand one message appear that a new firmware is available for update...i pressed yes... Update completed succesfuly but when to restart the phone it remained with black screen. No signs of activity...
Before to start update through kies the 3 buttons recovery worked. After finished update through kies nothing was working...no bottom keys, no signs , no logos on the screen. The only sign that something is happen is that the batery is droping off and the phone is heating somehow...but as i said any of the 3 buttons is working.
I did the soft reset, taking off the batery wait for 2 minutes reconect it ...still nothing. The usb is not recognized in the computer at all...no phone-computer sign (black screen of death at all) the screen remains just black...
I think this issues is already hardware but i want some opinions if somebody else faced this problem before...thank you!

I have a similar issue.. Updated my phone and now its hard bricked. I just ordered the riff box to hopefully bring it back to life. I believe the bootloader got messed up.. if it works i will let you know.
Read the noob guide...but still in truble...
I did not tried yet the jig cable as now I can not get one.
The point is that the normal usb cable is doing nothing when conecting to charger/pc...the only hope I see is that riff box....otherwise the hardware damage will come in front...
Riff box worked!

Cwm(clockworkmod recovery)-vol up+home+power
How did you manage to flash a rom without even knowing what cwm is???
Sent from my Galaxy S2 GT i9100
Did you keep the rom zip file in your phone? or can you connect your phone to a computer?
Hold volume up+home+power to recovery mode, try to re-install the rom or try another rom.
If it's available, you may backup your stuff and wipe data and cache before install the rom.

[Q] S2 Sudden Death ?? Help !!!

I was talking in my S2 yesterday and i got many online calls at once , as a result the phone just froze and it auto restarted itself afta a few min...
Then again when i was talking via Viber the same thing happened it just Froze up on me , this time it wasn't rebooting so i unplugged the battery & put it back in again. So after that it turns on , i see the Samsung logo then again it shuts down...Then i press the power button once again to turn it ON but with out luck....Now it does not show anything ,nothing comes up on the screen .Total Blank ....i tried removing the battery again & putting it back then turning it on , but now there is no response, nothing .....Not even Samsung logo ......i tried going into Recovery Mode or Download Mode but with out luck...Nothing Happens !!!........It's like it's DEAD !!! :crying:.....I tried charging the battery but nothing shows on the screen not even the battery charging animation....i have 2 batteries so i have charge ,i tried with both ....
Additional Information : my phone was on Stock JB 4.1.2 ....
Please guyz help me if you know something about this situation or is it a Hardware failure ? Can it be Fixable or do i need to take it to Service Center ???
Humbly waiting for your response ........
Service centre; tho advanced search King_Rat's threads for his hotboot method that involves trying to 'jump start' the phone with just the charger/minus the battery. Probably won't work, but you might as well try it.

[Q] i9100 won't start at all

I need some help, a few days ago y flashed SlimSaber on my phone, everything was ok until this morning, when i woke up the phone was off, when i truned on it got stuck on the samsung logo screen, then i tried to start it in Download mode, connected to the pc opened ODIN and tried to flash a stock rom, for some reason the phone got disconected in the middle of that, after that i tried again and this time it finished but said FAIL then i unplugged the phone tried to restart it but nothing happened now i can´t even get to download mode the phone is just there i can't turn it on and i don't know what to do, i need help plz
If the phone won't boot at all, what exactly do you expect anyone here to suggest ? No Christmas miracle.
Service centre for motherboard replacement (expensive option) or source 2nd hand board from 'donor' phone (search online) & either replace yourself or pay a local mobile repair shop to do it (cheaper option).

Try to use JIG, but you don't assure you nothing. The assistance will find out for sure that you have installed a cooked ROM and you will pay a lot for a simple replacement. And then I advise you to follow the many guides available online to disassemble and reassemble the pieces of the Galaxy S2. Let me know
thanks for the help but at this point I think i'll buy another celphone I'm thinking on the galaxy grand or the galaxy win

I HARD-BRICKED my Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830i) :/

Hello everyone in XDA forums ,
I don't really remember what exactly was the thing that I did in which I hard-bricked my Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830i), but it was a combo of rooting and then (OS)s installations... I rooted the phone successfully and as far as I remember I could even flash a KitKat firmware, but then it got bricked at some point after trying to flash some Cyanogenmod firmware [USING ROM MANAGER]... YES, I got to know that it's terrible to use ROM Manager for that purpose on the ACE but that was after I bricked my phone -_- (I still don't know why though; anyways...)
My smartphone is currently hard-bricked, meaning that I can't access download mode, recovery mode, or even fastboot mode; and I can't see a single thing on the screen (not even the Samsung Logo or the so-called "Yellow Triangle" , or even the Android Logo)... The only sign that my phone is still working (AND NOT AT ALL HARDWARE-DAMAGED) is the color of the screen which is (well you can say purple or kinda grey; also known as the background light/brightness)... I've tried the following:
1- All the normal button combos in all possible ways and conditions.
2- The (removing the battery, connecting the device to the PC/Laptop, clicking a button combo, and then inserting the battery while still holding the button combo) method.
3- I even tried the adb method, the SP Flash Tool method, and using a Jig.
So practically my main problem is that my phone can't even get to any mode and that it can't be recognized by any PC/Laptop not even after installing the drivers properly or changing the cables... If I just could get my Laptop to recognize it or even just get to the download mode without even having my Laptop to recognize it, then I'd be easily able to solve the whole problem.
P.S: PLEASE don't tell me that it's hardware-damaged or that I need to go to Samsung, cuz IT IS NOT HARDWARE-DAMAGED AT ALL and under the VERY SAME circumstances many people could unbrick their hard-bricked devices, and one of which is the Samsung Galaxy S3, just because they have an alternative method to boot (including the "booting from SD Card using a debrick image" method); and my warantee is void a VERY LONG time ago, since I bought the phone like 5 years ago.
Even if a software solution is still not known to the community it still is possible to unbrick my phone using a JTAG Repair device.
I really hope that somebody would be able to help me in solving this dilemma with a software method... Thank you anyways, and have a nice day / good night.
Similar brick here on my S5839i. I did something stupid and flashed everything including bootloader from a galaxy Y (S5360).
Now its not responding to any button combos,
When turned on I get a blank screen, then the camera LED blinks and the touch buttons light up and it stays on the blank screen.
If I can just get into download mode somehow it should all be fine.
My last hope now is to try a jig when I get my hands on one.
Also when plugged in, its recognized by windows as BCM21533-Thunderbird
Maybe anyone has been in a similar state and could help please?
Thanks

Bricked like yours!!
I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH MY GALAXY GRAND 2
Here is the problem...I BRICKED MY PHONE!!
I am not able to turn it on and my screen wont even show up!!!
I try pressing all the switches, tried to boot it to recovery mode, tried to normally boot it but NOTHING WORX!!!!!
"Its a SAMSUNG Phone Model Galaxy Grand2 SM-G7102"
what i did was i already had rooted my phone and already installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 and was working all fine until I thought of completely cleaning my device...
so i boot my phone to recovery mode, wiped dalvik's cache and cache partition and then clicked on wipe data/factory reset. The phone reseted and it showed the boot screen and then it showed optimizing apps and then it got suddenly stuck and switched OFF!!!!
BROTHER PLEASE HELP ME I AM IN NEED...I AM NOT RICH AND CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY A NEW PHONE. I ACTUALLY BROKE DOWN AND LITERALLY STARTED CRYING. I HOPE YOU CAN FIND A WAY TO STOP THE PAIN I AM FACING NOW. ?????
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME OUT(IF U DO)
I WOULD BE REALLY GRATEFUL.
