[SOLVED]Error Boot image signature LG Optimus 4XHD CWMR flash Fail - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

[THIS IS A FIX]
So I rooted my LG Optimus 4XHD it was running the stock firmware and flashed ClockWorkMod recovery but when I tried to get into the recovery i got this message:[LG security] Error boot image signature. And the phone rebooted so I couldn't enter my recovery anymore but i was still able to boot into android. Luckily there is a very easy fix for this problem.
The Fix
!Make sure that you have the LG drivers installed on your PC!
You have to reflash your system using LG Mobile Support Tool.
In this video a guy describes how you reflash your phone (he is using a G pad but it works on the 4xhd aswell)
This video helped me fix my device
(To get into download mode on the 4XHD: Take out the battery and reinsert it then hold volume down and plug in the usb cable )
You will lose root access and your custom rom (if you have one). But after the procces you can just root and flash it again
For me this fixed the problem but always do it at your own risk.
Hope this helped. Good Luck!

[Q] CWM infinite loop

Hello everyone,
I have a P760 with V20I firmware, unlocked bootloader with CWM. I made a mistake : I tried the update through official firmware feature. It restarted my device and instead of doing the update, it went to CWM recovery menu.
Now, I am trapped on an infinite loop with this recovery menu : when I exist CWM recovery, it restarts CWM instead of the phone firmware.
I tried to restore a backup but it still restart me in CWM .
Do you have any idea how I can restore my phone ?
Thank you very much for your help.
EDIT : I tried to fastboot my device and restore CWM, I am still locked in the recovery start loop. I also tried, with fastboot to set TWM as a recovery, I still have the same issue : my device automatically reboots in TWM.
I spend 6 hours trying to apply my own advice :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40423549&postcount=2
The only mistake I made while my phone was in "S/W Upgrade" mode : I did not put a battery in my phone and while the official LG tool access to the phone, sometimes, it "stops" the USB alimentation (which cause a phone without battery leaves the "S/W Upgrade" mode).
Now my phone is back but after spending 6 hours doing all kind of possible tests for a stupid mistake, I just want to hang myself...
Someone have a rope ?

Download official lg tool and connect the phone in sw mode and update it
Happened with me too
I restored by this method
Sent from my LG-P760 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thank you, just as I said in the next post, my mistake was only to not put back a battery inside my phone while it was in "S/W Upgrade" mode (because, to access this mode, I remove the battery, plug the USB cable and press Vol+).
Where can LGTool be downloaded?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
Download KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.zip, extract it then start B2CAppSetup.exe : if you haven't lock LG site access, it should download the last version of LG mobile tools.

Bootloop at LG Logo After Flashing Custom Recovery

Dear XDA Members,
My P765 now is on Bootloop, it wont load the OS. Before it happened, the phone was fine with CM 10.2 and CWM Custom. I try to flash again an TWRP which can only use to flash CM 11 Unofficial. After i flash the recovery, it went normal. I restarted the phone, and the phone was working. I copy the CM 11 then i try to flash it by entering the recovery again, but the method just open the fastboot page, not the TWRP. and now the phone bootloop on LG logo. I try hard restart, and it couldnt work. i try to flash again the KDZ but the KDZ updater said my phone not recognized. Does anyone knows what should i do to fix my phone? :crying: Thanks before.
BR,
CR
HELP!!
Even my LG-p765 is stuck in boot loop... actulally ringing boot.
But for me it happened during flashing recovery for the 1st time (i used tool tip for doing it).:crying:
Now my phone shows LG logo (just for a second) and restarts. This keeps happening unless i pull out the battery.
Please post, if anyone know how to recover from this the ringing boot.
If you can manage to get into fastboot and flash uboot and xloader, then connect the phone on software upgrade mode, it should connect. Although there is a catch, THIS WILL RELOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER.
No, it won't. If he install kdz by normal usb cable (not 910k), he will still have unlocked bootloader.

[q] lg-l40 (d160)

Hello XDA,
I have accidentally installed the wrong cyanogenmod port on my phone. It was a port for the LG L40 D170, but I have a D160.
The device installed cyanogenmod succesfully and it isn't bricked. Stange but okay, at least it's not dead.
I do have problems with it, it recognizes too less ram, photo gallery doesn't work, wifi doesn't turn on, camera doesn't work, mic doesn't work, and the google play store doesn't work. So I want to go back to stock. Does anyone know how to do that? I read something about flashing a KDZ but I can't find the KDZ file of this phone (D160) anywhere. Please help me!
Answer
Stock rom must be http://www.mediafire.com/download/v515ci393ad00qa/w3_signed_060914_082031.zip .Install it over cwm or use lg flash tol and reflash stock .Power down phone, wolume down and put phone via usb into pc.

Hi, all
I was running kitkat on my tablet so I decided to flash with CM13 custom rom I used DP TOOLS to rooted my tablet after that I used Flashify to installed TWRP at that point everything were nice and happy, then I installed gapps-600-base-20151112-1-signed.zip, cm-13.0-20160604-NIGHTLY-v410.zip, BETA-SuperSU-v2.74-2-20160519174328.zip using TWRP at that point everything installed without any error, I rebooted the tablet and now its stuck to LG logo with "error boot certification verify" after pressing power and volume up button I was able to get in download mode, but DP tools doesn't recognized tablet using my PC so I'm wondering how to installed rom back again since I cant get TWRP to load and why am I get this "error boot certification verify" anyway. Any help will be very helpful. Thanks
i fixed it using these steps, Thanks
1. You will need the Stock Rooted ROM: [ROM][STOCK](V410 ONLY)KOT49I.V4101d | 4.4.2… | LG G Pad 10.1 | XDA Forums
2. Stock Recovery Image: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resi...int=file,img
[OPTIONAL]
- I downloaded the USB Driver suite so I can make sure it all connects and works, this really is optional, but I would HIGHLY suggest it!
LG Software & Firmware | LG U.S.A
- I also download this nifty tool called DP Tools by danielpinto8zz6 over at XDA. This just made it a lot easier to reboot to recovery and all that fun stuff.
[Tool][Win] DP TOOLS - Manage your LG device | LG G Pad 10.1 | XDA Forums
[MANUAL RECOVERY]
If you do not want to install the drivers and DP Tools, you can reboot to recovery using the following method:
1. Power OFF your device and unplug from USB
2. Press Vol-Down + Power and HOLD until you see the LG Logo (will only take a couple seconds)
3. Let go of the POWER button ONLY
4. Keep holding the Vol-Down, then also press Power + Vol-Up (so you should now be holding ALL 3 BUTTONS)
5. Wait for recovery mode to start and you can let go of the buttons
[THE PROCESS]
1. Copy the ROM and Recovery Image to to SD Card or Internal Storage of your device
2. Reboot to Recovery
3. Wipe, Wipe, Wipe
4. Flash the Stock Rooted ROM
5. Reboot and set up your device far enough for you to get into the Play Store and download an App
6. Download Flashify: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...llner.flashify
7. Launch the app and flash your stock recovery
8. DO NOT REBOOT YET (however, if you do reboot, it's really not an issue)
9. Open the Super User app that is already installed
10. Go into Settings and then find the In-Root (Uninstall) option and you will get a warning that Root will be removed
11. Complete the instructions on the screen and you are now back to stock
[TROUBLESHOOTING]
- If SU will not uninstall and just hangs, restart the device and try again
- If the ROM starts acting strange, Factory Restore (this did not happen to me, but happened to a friends and reset fixed it all)
Please let me know if anyone has any questions!!
Thanks!

Ulefone T1 Bootloop - not able to access recovery mode

Hello all,
First of all, as a disclaimer: I am a total noob in this area. I just got my Ulefone T1, and tried to root it by installing TWRP and then installing SuperSU using TWRP. When I first installed TWRP, it worked and I got into the TWRP recovery menu. However, as the phone had to be wiped, I couldn't install the SuperSU zip anymore. I did a normal reboot to transfer the SuperSU zip to my phone, but when I then tried to turn my phone off and access TWRP, it went to normal recovery mode of my phone. As I wanted to start fresh off again, I went to the settings of my phone and did a factory reset silly.
Now, it is stuck in a bootloop where I can literally do nothing. I cannot access factory mode or recovery mode, all it does is just endlessly boot and turn off. I have managed to turn it off completely, but that's all I can do. Also, the battery is not removable.
Does anyone with a little more knowledge have a suggestion for me? Thanks in advance!
As an update, I got a suggestion to fully drain the battery, but that does not work either. I have tried connecting it to my PC, which is not working, but that was acting weird before. I guess it's just not possible?
did you work this out ? i am stuck in bootloop too ??????

I have no idea what software is necessary to do it for your device but you can flash stock rom, if it uses sp tool or something then download stock rom, use sp tool to flash it. Should be OK after that. As I am not familiar with this device I can't give you any other advice other than flashing stock rom.
Any solutions to unbricking/boot looping?
Have anyone found any solutions to unbricking phone??
Mine also did bootlooping after unlocking bootloader.
I was able to flash successfully but screen fussy and unreadable and not able to touch. I am able to hear but lines are on screen.
I have same problem, please, anyone help, I think I used wrong twrp image
Ulefone T1 Bootloop solution 2019.
I was able to fix the bootloop of my ulefone t1, just flash it with sp flash tool by following this guide:
1. Download the Stock Firmware on your personal computer.
2. Install the USB MTK Drivers (skip if you have it already installed).
3. Download and Launch the Smart Phone Flash Tool (SP Flash Tool)
4. Click the Scatter-loading button to navigate to the stock Rom you just downloaded.
5. Select the Scatter File from the extracted Stock Firmware on your computer.
6. Select the Download Only in the SP flash tool option
7. Click the Download button to start the Formating process.
8. Connect your device via USB to the computer>> holding volume + and volume – button of your device at the same time or holding power button only so that the flashing process will starting working
9. Patiently wait for your device to be formatted.
10. After the formatting is done, a Big Green button will pop up on the SP Flash to show that.
11. Unplug your device and boot it up.
12. If you have a boot loop after booting your device, boot into recovery mode and do a factory reset.
13. Voila, you are all good.
Very important step 8 of the guide.
