Hi guys. Lately my mom's Galaxy S2 was losing service all the time and we had to reboot to make it work again. One day it stopped completely and it did not want to go back.
I searched for this problem on XDA and I found a pretty interesting fix that happens to work on ALL Android devices. That's why I'm posting it here, since P500 is my phone.
Since I flashed CM 7.2.0 A4 I've been losing service for a few seconds and getting it back with 2G data only. It was becoming quite annoying so I decided to use the fix I used on Galaxy S2 and IT WORKED!
No more service lost, 3G all the time and much better signal. So here is how to do it:
1- Go to Dialer app on Application settings.
2- Delete Data then Force Close.
3- You will lose service for a few seconds.
4- It will come back with full force.
I know, it's a strange fix, but it works on ALL Android devices (Gingerbread only I think, I haven't tested on earlier builds).
If you guys are having problems with signal, 3G or anything related, try it. This fix also worked on my friend's Milestone 1.

It works. Just clear the cache, force close and then signal is back.
Hopefully this stays permanent.

I hope you means to say that You are in 3G network and the signals are not showing in 3G mode.
Please elaborate which ROM do you have. If you have LP6 the Manual Switching option is not available in the stock ROM. It tries to find out Strongest network and registers itself. Wait for Next leak from SAMMY.
If you are on any of the previous ROM you will find the Option in your Settings As mattyh77 Says .. Switch Back
Hoping to find some help here. I have searched the web and no definitive answer. I was running CM 10.1.3 on my Razr Maxx for a long while. Just flashed to CM 10.2 with Android 4.3. Since flashing, I no longer get a 4g icon for my signal, I get LTE. In addiiton, the LTE signal fades in and out and most times the bars are white which I have found out means I'm not synced with Google servers. I have played with the APN options to no avail. Is anyone familiar with this problem? Is there a fix? Thanks for any help you can provide.

The LTE icon replaced the 4G icon in development, that's normal. Are you sure you're losing sync status? Where did you read that is the reason? Do your emails, etc push through notification? If so, there's really no problem other than an icon that isn't 100% representative of its status.
Also, did you do a complete wipe before upgrading to 10.2? Major updates usually recommend full wipes before upgrading for many reasons.
I did a fresh root and install of safestrap 3.65 and CM10.2 stable on my xt912 for verizon. I also have the same issue. Coming from the stock rom I now get terrible service and if I change the network to anything with LTE (global or cdma/evdo +LTE) I cannot send or receive picture messages. I tried to change the APN and it makes no difference. Lastly if I try to edit the APN it will disappear from the list.
I stopped editting the apn because when I limit the service to cdma/evdo I can send and recieve picture messages, but I get no LTE/4g service.
I am starting to wonder if the rom slot 1 conflicts somehow with the original stock rom.
After installing safestrap I did a factory wipe (not advanced) and installed the rom and gapps.
If there is something I am missing please do inform me. Perhaps the op's issue is the same.

You need to update to kitkat stock messaging app & delete old, how to here:

Yes I did that. That is why I can send them when on cdma/evdo. It has never worked with global or any lte network.
Thinking of trying cm11m4 on rom slot 2 to see if that is better...

It is fine to get mms to send on CDMA. If the phone is on a 4G or LTE antenna it doesn't work for me. Also, this does not solve the issue of the APN's disappearing. This is a fix for some cases not a solution.
In my case I created Rom slot #2 and installed CM11 M4 snapshot and all is working there. LTE works fine, MMS sends... I didn't find any immediate other issues in the 2 hrs I played with it last night. Looks like this may be the daily driver for a while until CM11 stable comes out.
I still have 10.2 available in Rom slot #1 so I can test if anyone cares to find the real "solution"

I would not have thought this would be an issue on a stable build either.
With kitkat in development, CM10.2 will be abandoned.
Probably will try CM11 nightly myself in about a month unless there is another snapshot or even stable build by then.

Hi all,
Does anyone came across this warning when connecting to wifi network:
"There are some problems with internet connection, please check current WLAN network or connect to other WLAN network"
This message comes up every time I'm switching to wireless network.
Seems like there are no settings options to get rid of it. Maybe somebody knows how to disable it?
Never seent his error message before. Does it work with all Wifi connections or just your own wirelesss router.

This happens while connecting to any wifi network - public, home, office.
Tried to run search for this message inside system apk's, but had no results. Is there any other method to find what populates this message?
Just noticed you are using what looks like a custom ROM. Is this the case? Have you tried a stock ROM?

Hi all. For me also same problem. It all started after the latest KitKat upgrade by Lenovo itself. This message stays on top of any current operation interfering it unless you get rid of it by using the return key, only then you could get access to the running application. It really get one bugged. Hope someone could have a solution.

There you go then, previous poster also has the same issue so it looks like it's KitKat specific. Are you running the latest Kitkat?
I downgraded back to JB because the first release of stock KitKat was too buggy but the later KitKat updates fix a lot of problems so try the OTA updates first.
Wifi not working, white blinking all the time
Please any help,
My phone suddenly disconnected from office wifi. I am using p780 4gb. when the problem came, i was using latest update kitkat. then after downgrade to JB s115 in lenovo centre. wlan still cant work. when i try to switch on then by itself switch off again. I left it in lenovo centre and they said it should be machine replacement. i was ok but when the cost was mentioned it's surprised me coz the cost almost reached the price of new phone. Does anyone know how to solve this issue with cheaper cost?
Many thanks in advance.
Connection keeps fluctuating and connecting disconnecting itself most of the time and make too hard to play online game like Clash of Clans...Need help..Tried to Auto search network as well manually but none worked...I have another phone with same Jio 4G and other one have not this problem.

Yesterday I upgraded to 19s and that problem is solved. But one problem isn't solved that whenever I keep 4G VoLTE on, Internet speed bar keeps showing speed and Internet also works even when Data is off!

Heyyo, download the version that's for your phone (I'm guessing Indian 19s) and then rename the file to update.zip and put it in the root directory of your Sdcard.
Reboot to recovery and then select update from file.

Posts in that thread even note that 16s and up solved their LTE issues.
