Hi everybody
I didn't see this problem on the forum.
I've a problem with MHL cable. It's a Belkin cable, and it doesn't work. :crying:
When i connect it to my TV, i have a notification on the tablet who appears and disappears [ MHL connected ]
So, i don't know where is the problem, TV*? Tablet*? MHL belkin Cable*? Alimentation of cable*?
Thank you
[edit] its work with an other cable . MCL cable

I just found a MHL cable for the SGS2 on Amazon with Micro-USB to HDMI.
I have a Samsung HDTV bought about a year ago. Now i know that MHL means you can charge as well as view the phone stuff on the screen but MHL TVs have not released yet (i think, and even if they have i wont be getting one anytime soon).
So my question is can i still see the TV out if i use the MHL cable on my older TV? I know it definitely wont charge.
Anyone?? :S
yes you can.
all you need is the adapter from MHL (micro-USB) to HDMI, connect the HDMI to the TV and you are good to go.
the advantage of the original samsung adapter is the ability to connect a power cable to the adaptor and charge the phone while it transmits the picture to the TV.
hope i helped
Thanks mate
For anyone confused, an MHL cable is a Micro USB to HDMI cable - no ifs, no buts, this will transmit HDMI from a compatible MHL port. Nothing else needed (except I believe it must also be connected to power)
Your micro USB port on the bottom of your SGS2 is an MHL/USB port, and will therefore work.
Important to note is that not all micro USB ports are also MHL ports, therefore will not necessarily work on some other micro USB port on a different phone.
Hey guys. I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 running stock 3.2
I would like to use a USB mouse for it but I would like to test something out.
I have the charging wire that connects to USB, and I also have a female to female USB adapter. [Not the OEM tab to USB]
I would love to know if plugging the charger with the adapter with a USB mouse would work.
I mean, I've tried it, but it doesn't and I would like to know if you guys have succeeded because I haven't.
This is how it looks like:
TAB>Wire>USB Adapter>USB Mouse
Also, please say what you've done to get a USB (Not Bluetooth) mouse working with the Tab 10.1.
Thanks!
Use the USB adapter?

I've successfully made an OTG cable. It works fine.
I have also rewrired my monoprice 11pin to 5pin MHL adapter directly to my MHL output with a 40.2Ohm resistor. The phone recognizes it as a smartdock and the MHL/charging is all working. I am running TW rooted...
However when I add the proper connections to another OTG adapter, I don't get any USB enumeration. I can post pics and pinouts if anyone cares..
Monoprice part of the 9-5 adapter is 9716... I can't post links yet.
Anyone have an idea of how or why USB enumeration isn't working? I get power to said USB device, but nothing shows up on the phone side that a USB device is connected or working... I verified the device with the original OTG cable I made, so I know the mouse works just fine there.
SOB
I want to install my Samsung Tab 2 (P3100) as a head unit in my car.
I saw many DIY toturials with a micro USB OTG cable, but none with a OTG cable for my tablet model.
Does anyone help me find a way or a OTG cable for TAB 2 that simultaneously charge the tablet.
I also want to plug a USB Hub.
Thanks

You could try the following device. I have never tried one but would be interested in whether it works or not (and the cost):

Hi guys,
I wonder if it would be possible to connect my 8.4 inch m5 via ethernet. As far as I know there should be support for usb to ethernet cables in Android 6.1 (not sure with the version should be around 6) and higher.
Thanmk you for your time.
As far as I have seen in the forum people tried it with hubs but weren't successful. Same story as the hdmi output :/
Yes you can, I've tried usb Ethernet adapter connected with type-c OTG and the tablet happily connected to the wired network (WiFi off).
That's nice to hear. Thanks
I've tried usb Ethernet adapter connected with adapter USB <-> microUSB <-> typeC, did not work.
WoW!
Now it's working with Total Commander!
