I had such error on my SGY. I updated su binary, then I installed busybox 1.21.1 from Stericson's busybox installer (get it on Play Store).
Then problem was solved.
I'm trying to install the Framework, when I go into the app and then press install/update, I get a window that says:
Copying Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip...
Could not extract Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarted the phone and still getting the same issue. never had this problem before, can anyone help?

If you are trying to install Xposed on a newer Samsung device, Knox and SELInux will fight you. I'm guessing you are running what is in your in your sig, so probably not Knox. Install this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrbimc.selinux Grant SU, change to Permissive, reboot (may not be necessary, but doesn't hurt), and try again.

What version of Xposed are you trying to install? Do you have a custom recovery? If so, Xposed 2.5+ will give you an option to install normal via system or you can pick the option to install via recovery. I'd go that route. It's at the top of the framework install part of Xposed - there is a drop down box to choose install methods.
Edit: Looked at the picture you posted and you definitely have the newer version.

It very well could be something in it that isn't being friendly to the normal framework install method, but lemme know if it works the other installation way. If it does, then not a big deal either way.

I tried the other way and I still had the issue. So I did a clean installation of the rom again and it works now.
I guess something went wring when installing the rom which may have caused the issue.

What you want to do also after installing the rom freshly. Install the xposed v 2.5 rather than 2.5.1 because 2.5 works perfectly and there's no real need in updating it

I am having the same issue with the could not extract the zip file. I have tried what was suggested on this thread as well as reinstalled the rom 3 times. I have used this rom before with no problems. The only two other things I can think of trying are full wipe and format of the sd card or full unroot and revert to stock then reroot and try the rom again. Any thoughts?

You're using 2.5 (not 2.5.1) and still having issues? What phone, rom, etc? Might try rolling back to 2.4.1.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 and running wicked rom. I was having the problem just on 2.5.1 but on 2.5 everything would load but none of the modules were working after rebooting. Everything checked out (installed and unzipped) with no errors on 2.5.

Weird...What modules were you trying to use? When you go into the Framework part, does it show the app_process and XposedBridge.jar as green / active?
It did for the 2.5 version even tho nothing was working. I reverted back to 2.4.1 and things seem to be working at the moment. I was running Wanam and the kbs network module. I'm going to try and play around tonight with some other modules and see if the problem persists.

I have tried to update my Xperia Z tablet (Wi-Fi Xperia Tablet Z SGP311) but it fails each time. Bootloader is locked, and it is rooted. SuperSU(in survival mode) and the voodoo OTA root keeper are on.
Not sure why it wont flash to 4.2.2 (current stock 4.1.1 rooted).
Also Wondering if I should even bother updating to 4.2.2 this way or try the flashtool kernel workaround doomlord has?
Hello, i've the same problem with my SGP321. SuperSu in survivalmode and rootkeeper installed too.
Sent from my Xperia Tab Z using Tapatalk 4 beta.
Someone else had issues with update not installing, and someone asked if any system files have been modified?
If you do the OTA update only (as you stated), you dont need the OTA rootkeeper, just superuser ticked with survival mode, and SU installed as a system app (in settings menu). Maybe SU and OTA keeper conflicting, maybe OTA modify system files?
If you decide to install SU as system app, it might take several attempts, and several power downs. When I did it, it did not seem to be working, and tooks loads of reboots and attempts

nope, was considering doing that tho
I'm in the same boat. Stock 4.1.2 rooted with su as system app and survival mode on, but nothing else. Install fails every time. Sgp312
I had the same problem. The cause was a modified /system/apps folder. As a solution i copied the missing files from a FTF-File back.
If for example facebook.apk is missing the update will fail.
Oh wow, didn't consider that getting rid of some of the bloat would count. Go figure Facebook would **** it up for me. I don't have a computer anymore at home so I guess I'll start figuring how to get back what I got rid of.
..could anyone upload that system/apps/ folder? In the meantime I guess I can try pulling the ones from the zip of the Japanese stock ROM posted around here..
I can't find any way of extracting a .sin in android
Never mind. Copying the missing files out of the Japanese zip worked and I'm successfully updated!
thanks ill have to do the same it seems, yeah i belive I nailed a good lot of the bloatware :/

If nothing else works try the dreaded Odin route

Don't need to odin. Just simply download the apk, copy it from your SD card and paste it in your system/app folder. Once pasted, change permission to -rw -r -r. Now you'll see it in your app drawer.

I was wondering if anyone has installed Viper4Android on this device. I had it on my previous phone and it worked flawlessly; all my music sounded amazing.
But ever since we achieved root, I couldn't successfully install it. It keeps telling me Busybox is broken or not installed, and therefore won't let me install the audio drivers.
Can anyone try installing it, if they can? My favorite band just released a new album and I'd love to hear it with a good equalizer.

I tried everything today: manual Viper installation, different Busybox versions, etc., still doesn't work.
Maybe the KitKat update will make it possible. That is, if we ever get a KitKat update... I may not use a Huawei phone again if we don't get updates. There's already been so many issues (for me at least) with Emotion being so extensively modified from regular Android. And we don't have any developers at all. I'll probably go Nexus next time.

I am using it now flawlessly. The driver cannot be installed automatically but you can manage to use the flashable zip file to install it manually.
First uninstall the app and backup your build.prop.
Download the flashable zip file here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/discussion-viper4android-t2543796
Reboot to your TWRP and flash the zip file and reboot. The zip file would install the apk file in /system/priv-app which is actually not recognized by the Huawei system. So please manually move the apk file to /system/app or /data/app , or just install it and remove whatever file left in /system/priv-app
And then start the app you should be able to install the driver. Actually the driver has been installed after you flashed the zip file.
Since it will modify your build.prop, so please make a backup. And in my case it broke my build.prop so I had to modify the file manually. There is an example in the link above. Please append the followings at the end of your build.prop.
Code:
##Viper4android
lpa.decode=false
tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=false
lpa.releaselock=false
OK. Reboot and you are all set.
Again, if you encounter soft brick and the system ui fails to appear, high chances that V4a broke or deleted your build.prop. Make sure you make a back up of that file first.

Yes and yes. I am using the US version MT2L03 and it can be used to boost my earbud volume.
Sweet, I thought you had the non-US version at first. I'll install TWRP soon, try this and report back!
I managed to install it...but I dont know which settings will let me do this.
I want to increase the volume of the phone when using it as a phone held up to my ear without affecting battery drain. There are too many options. The FAQ links to a site to explain the settings but that site is down. Help?
Update: never mind I uninstalled viper4android (reverted to backup actually). It barely increased the volume but it would crash my phone when connecting to Bluetooth despite it being disabled for bluetooth.

In the Viper settings, you can set "Show notification", so the system won't kill the app when the screen is off. If that's not enough, what I did on my previous phone was use this app to protect Viper. Install that, go to "Tasks", tap on Viper, and select "Exclude" on the bottom left.
Root the device (search how to root the device Huwei Mate 2)
Change to permissive mode with “SELinux Mode Changer” apk from xda or search.
Enable developer options (tapping the Settings->Builld Number several times will enable the developer options, by default it is hidden from the user) and uncheck Use Nuplayer option.
Install the viper4android (get the latest untouched viper4android from original viper4android thread).
optional making viper4andriod as system app(refer how to make system app, if you want to make viper4andorid as system app)
set following values on the “build.prop” using the (Build Prop Editor, search for apk)
##Viper4android
lpa.decode=false
tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=false
lpa.releaselock=false
Run following commands with “Terminal Emulator” apk (search playstore or internet)
>>su
>>/system/xbin/supolicy --live "allow mediaserver mediaserver_tmpfs:file { read write execute };"
Open the viper4android and install the drivers.
Reboot the device
After reboot Launch the viper4android and check the driver status then you will see driver status normal.
feel free to play with compatible mode option or other options to suit your needs.

I've been using V4A on stock ROMS and on CM ROMS with no issues at all.
Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925W8 and had SuperSU root access and XPosed Framework installed. I am now attempting to remove all of it so that I can pass Google's safetynet helper test. I have tried numerous things, but the safetynet result is always:
SafetyNet Request: Success
Response Validation: Success
CTS Profile Match: False
I first attempted to remove Root by clicking "Completely remove root" within SuperSU. After doing this, Response Validation was false, which, after doing some research, I learned was caused by XPosed Framework. I then boot into TWRP recovery and flash the Xposed uninstaller. This causes my phone to boot loop, forcing me to restore a NAND backup to before I removed anything. I then try to flash the XPosed Uninstaller BEFORE removing root access and it runs successfully. After this, I use SuperSU to completely remove all root, which also runs successfully then give the phone a reboot removing the app entirely. This is when I receive the SafetyNet Helper response above stating CTS Profile match is false. I'm not sure how to fix this error.
Any suggestions would be very appreciated! Thank you
Edit: I have no idea why this thread appeared twice...sorry I can't seem to delete one of them
Er.. Any ideas?
Is this to play PokemonGo? If so there's a mod with instructions. Unless that's what you're trying to do...you might need to flash factory images if Xposed is stuck. Backup your pictures and stuff and go back to stock then use that mod. It works well but no Xposed which is a good thing IMO!

Hi, thanks so much for replying! Yes..it is for pokemon go. Is the mod you're talking about the Magisk one? If so, that is what I originally wanted to do, but flashing Magisk caused my phone to be stuck in a bootloop and forced me to flash a NAND Backup. This was after first flashing the xposed uninstaller and uninstalling SuperSU. So I gave up on root...truth be told I don't use the root apps too much anyway so it isnt a big loss for me. I'm also already on Stock firmware so I'm not sure why I can't pass the SafetyNet Test. Do I have any other options than wiping my phone clean?

Well only data will be gone you need a full system wipe....
Or go delete the su files...use file manager to find them but just delete in recovery using TWRP with the location you searched..I don't think you can search in recovery without the terminal but you can do it all in recovery.
or if you completely flash factory image you can just not root
Hope this helps!

Hello, I attempted to use ES File Explorer to search both the system/bin directory and the system/xbin directories. system/bin does not have the "busybox" or "su" files in them, so I assume they were removed when I uninstalled SuperSU. /system/xbin however does have these two files, but I am unable to delete them. I get the error "Cannot delete file". I'm guessing this is because I've already unrooted?
I then opened the terminal in my TWRP Recovery, however when changing directories into the system folder, the terminal shows that it is empty. when using ls -la, only two files are there, both called root and neither can be opened. rm -r /system/xbin/busybox does nothing either, it claims there's no such directory. Any suggestions? or just wipe?
loving this tab s3, and rooted it to install my favorite root apps (cf.lumen, adaway, sd maid, titanium) but now I can't use Netflix
I installed from apkmirror the apk file directly. Netflix launches, but never actually loads.
How can I fix this? Please help!
Thanks in advance

Did you use supersu? Try using magisk and then hiding root.

Yes I did.
I'm new to the whole magisk thing. Do I need to reflash the stock image? I only installed twrp and rooted as in the instructions thread. Or can I just follow the magisk procedure on top of super su?

Thanks that helps a lot. It mentions flashing a stock boot.img, where might we obtain that for tab s3?

I haven't used magisk on my s3 but have on my nexus devices which are much easier to work with than samsung devices. On my nexus I uninstalled supersu through the app. Then I flashed the magisk.zip in twrp. I'd try it on the tab but I'm not in a place where I can rebuild the system if it doesn't work. If you're willing to give it a go, backup with twrp on a sdcard or copy the backup off your device before trying it. If it doesn't work you'll have to rebuild your system with the stock firmware with odin.

PS, after flashing magisk in twrp, and before rebooting, flash ashyx's no-verity-no-encrypt boot image patcher.

Curiosity got the better of me. It doesn't work. I'm going to flash the stock firmware and try another way. But, it looks like any way you do it you'll end up wiping your device.

Try renaming or deleting liboemcrypto.so . Should be in system/lib or system/vendor/lib I forget which... Usually I remove it for all my rooted devices or Netflix won't load for me.

Great!!! You make my day!! :laugh:
So I got magisk installed successfully - playprotect check works fine, but it still didn't work.
I did some more searching and there is a Netflix enabler module for this purpose:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-netflix-enabler-enable-netflix-t3708126
Finally Netflix works!
As above, got Magisk 14.5 and Magisk Manager 5.4.3 installed ok with "Hide Magisk from various detections" selected. No specific apps selected at all under Magisk Hide. The setup passes Safety Net check.Netflix is available on Play Store and installs. Then renamed liboemcrypto. so and for the first time Netflix works. This is on a Galaxy Tab S3. This little mod would appear to have fixed it for me. Thank you to the posters above.

Its system/vendor/lib when i removed system/lib tablet wouldn't boot. The fix he mentioned is the correct fix and worked for me. For some reason on all rooted devices I have to do this for Netflix to work.

Awesome man, that's one of the post that saves lifetime. So still running my system and do not have to install magisk :good:
Have you tried the liboemcrypto renaming fix. Look in system vendor lib. There are several threads around about this workround.
