I'm using p768 and flashed CW recovery. I'm wondering if there's a way to flash a stock recovery again. I searched the forum but didn't find any stock recoveries.

I don't think there is one... You'd have to either extract it from a stock kdz or flash one. The stock recovery really has no functions.

I figured out that flashing a KDZ automatically restores the stock recovery.
And for those who want their unlocked boot loader to look as if it's locked, usually when using your warranty, you can follow these steps.
You can extract stock recovery.img from KDZ and then flash it via fastboot.

Guys , some people are reporting that they are unable to revert to stock rom after flashing custom rom.
If you want to save your phone , then i highly recommend you to make a complete backup before flshing stock rom
go to cwm recovery and select backup/restore then backup (it will make your stock rom backup)
whenever you want to revert , go again to clockworkmod recovery and select restore under, backup/restore option
now last and most important thing to run stock rom ---> flash stock kernel using fastboot method
first grab stock kernel to do that , download your phones stock firmware from here = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10885406#post10885406
using 7zip extract kernel.sin file from .ftf firmware file
connect your phone in fastboot mode and run this command
fastboot flash boot kernel.sin
I'm doing it again and again without any problem.. just be sure to flash stock kernel before flashing stock rom.
thanks, i will try this method too
first flash stock kernel , then using flashtool flash firmware , am i right ?
Stock kernel (kernel.sin) is included in the package (of official stock firmware). So everytime you flash an official stock firmware, kernel.sin is also flashed. No need to flash kernel.sin before flashing stock firmware. Correct me if im wrong.
I also think same , i tried that method by noooooob and it worked too

yes you have to unlock boot-loaders first
i recommend to unlock by this method = http://androidflip.com/unlock-xperia-phones-bootloader-without-losing-drm-data-track-id-working/
if you want to install clockwork mod recovery then follow this = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1384200
Install CWM without unlocking bootloader
You don't need to unlock the boot loader to install CWM.
Follow instructions here to root First

Install CWM using this tool

This is how I did it on my Ray
I always considered flashing with Wotanserver to be the best way to go back to stock. It basically takes care of everything. Sure, you'll have to root again afterwards, but that's not exactly very hard.
wotan server is also a good choice

download firmware which you have before installing custom rom, then flash it using flashtool.
Hello guys
I was on stock android and stock recovery oos 3.1.3. I tried to change recovery using fastboot so i tried so many recovries, but unable to flash anyone then i found twrp recovery by teamspark so i flashed it and successfully done, but problem with it is, i am not able toh flash paranoid rom and stock rom using this recovery and even the stock recovery is also not flashable now, just stuck on logo whenever i flash stock recovery. So which recovery i can use which can correctly flashable and i can flash paranoid rom by that successfully.
Thanks in advance.
Flash old stock recovery followed by any OOS 2.X.X firmware . Now you can proceed with PA. Note dont use any of the twrp's designed for mm bootloader.

First of all, you have to downgrade your bootloader. Then you can flash any recovery for the old bootloader.
Thanks i m done now

The Stock.
Thx
It's not going to work through stock recovery. You won't be able to sign it the way you'd need.
If you're already rooted then you might look into Flashfire to install zips. I would make sure you have access to the original firmware and flashing tool to recover the phone if something goes wrong.
If you aren't rooted and the bootloader is unlocked then you might be able to build TWRP if it's not already available.
Removed OS through TWRP wipe & cant find a ROM to intall through twrp without errors.
Cant get anything to work. Ive tried so many stock firmwares. I try installing .zips through TWRP. Every ROM has some kind of error. Can anyone help with this. Its a Moto E XT1526 Sprint US.

I'll definitely try these steps. One of the biggest issues im having is finding the stock Lollipop. Ive tried all the stock firmware at firmware.center. Used twrp to instal from .zip. Where can i find the stock.img? I searched a little today with no luck.

Hello,
talking here just about ROOTING not flashing CUSTOM rom!
I have one simple question. Is it possible to root device without unlocking bootloader? I have mediatek CPU MTK6750T and stock ROM flashable via SP flash tool. What if I just add superSu manually to the stock image and flash ot via SP flash tool just over /system partition?
Or what If I just flashed recovery (TWRP, CWM) over recovery partition? Could I root from there as well?
In both methods I would NOT unlock bootloader right? So I could be rooted without unlocking bootloader?
Please explain me if something will not work.
Or can flashing original stock rom Lock bootloader again so nobody knows?
Thank you: )

Bootloader restricts rooting or flashing recovery, system or anything else.
Therefore, you can't do anything without unlocking bootloader.

But SP flash tool can flash directly to partition right? so what if i use stock rom and just change recovery image file to flash? So it will flash stock ROM with my Recovery img. I will turn of checksum of course..
Or does bootloader really forbid this?

can you please tell me how would you exactly do that?
I'm trying to flash twrp by changing the recovery file in the stock rom but I can't seem to find the stock recovery inside the zip folder.
thanks in advance
