The poster above can probably help you with Q1
for Q2 you may want to try VPN services or proxy services.
Orbot is a reputable service. May also want to check out The Guardian Project (which Orbot is a part of)

Orbot has the option to use root to route ALL network traffic through Orbit. Definitely a good app.
I also use DroidWall for some protection on public networks, like really untrusted networks, what I'll do is disable connections from all apps except what I want to do (eg. Chrome browser).
Both apps are free from Play Store, you should check them out.

Sorry i edited my post,
My device is Not rooted. Yup b'coz i am afraid of void warranty..
Is there something for Non Root device?

You can still use Orbot with Firefox proxy extension and/or Orweb without root, that's all I can say.
Hope this helps

The country China has a firewall set up so specific websites like Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter etc. can't be accessed. This is what he means.
EDIT: Lol, sorry you beat me to it.

Cannot work. Unable to connect for me.
You could perhaps use AutoProxy and dig up a proxy on a non-firewalled port to connect. There was a time when Proxy Hunter on Windows was good for finding them, but it has been years since I have used it.
http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/ has a reasonably fresh list.

Vpn is the answer, but you need server outside of china. I'm sure there's some app that can do that, but again, you need server. Vpn is virtual private network, like proxy but more sofisticated.

VPN is the only thing I found to work.
A free option that somewhat works is DroidVPN (on the market) but for the heavy stuff I just use my house VPN provider, StrongVPN has a nice deal where if you buy one VPN account for the house you can get a second one for a very cheap price, I use the second one on my phone.
Their prices are reasonable at around 60$ per year.
I heard there are specific places in china where the internet isnt filtered o-0.

When I was there, I used sshtunnel to connect to my Linux box at home, which had sshd listening on 443. Worked perfectly.
Forgot to mention, there are sites out there that let you test access from China to your home IP prior to going there.

Actually I am using iwasel VPN service on my android without rooting my device, it gives me 6 connections at the same time with perfect speed and security, here you can find a discount code https://www.iwasel.org/en/trysmoketunnelfree/ and you can get an account for trial before paying money.

As stated above. A little more info. The Chinese government is allowed to monitor all traffic by its citizens. As such they block most outside competitors like Google and fb mostly due to them not allowing the government access to the info.

How to connect to PC's internet from usb or wifi ?

Hello
Does anybody know how to use the internet of pc through s3 phone?
I dont mean usb thethering, the opposit...
Because when i want to use vpn in my phone there is a problem...
My play store after minutes says connection timeout, i looked for it and i found it is because of lack of encryption and SSL, so when i check the ppp encryption in my vpn account in settings, the connection never establishes. So i want to use my internet through pc which has encryption to run play store.
Using ad-hoc access points is pointless because it is not supprted
I also used mhotspot but seems that internet is not shared using this app although many have used this app...
So i will be gratefull if someone comes with a solution or tips...

[Q] Which Antivirus App to use?

Having a look at the interwebz confused me: Which antivirus solution is currently the most recommended and pure Antivirus/Antispy/Antitrojan software? Recommendations for paid apps are also welcome.
I'm currently using Norton Mobile Security, but it seems overloaded with blocking SMS and Calls (I already have the best solution for that: Root Call Blocker), and it also has other bloated functions I don't need. So, what do you guys use? Please share your experiences to give me a feeling of what the "Pro-Users" have out there.
I use Avast! Mobile security. It's free, and I love it...

[Q] Browser issue sola

Greetings
I have a Xperia Sola and after the update 4.0.4 stock browser and optional chrome that i use has serious issues,
stock browser take too much time to load any site that i put (i dont mention heavy load sites that dont load at all)
but the sme happens to chrome, i cant find a solution or any trick.
Anyone has the same issue? Thanks for reading.
Try dolphine browser in the play store
Is it possible your phone or internet is too slow, stock browser is faster than chrome for me
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
You means now both Chrome and Stock browsers load site slowly?
If that's the case then maybe your internet connection is slow.
To check your internet speed, try downloading a file, and see what speeds you are getting.
Alternative browsers : Lightening Browser ( based on Stock), Mozilla Firefox

Internet connection isnt problem because i tried in multiple wifi spots and its the same. This happened after the the update to the latest version.
Are there any other apps that run fine with internet??
That'll help determine whether the problem is with those browsers only or ROM in general..

Sent from my MT27i using xda app-developers app
i have same problem when i open 2 tabs but i "solved" closing all apps in recent apps or killing them; but if it isn't an internet connection problem, to be sure, try to use speedtest.. chrome don't work in my case (uninstalled).. now i use dolpin and, strange but true, also works the floating touch =D
Try boat browser it's recently popular on xda

I guess you have DNS cache problem (and that probably occured if you didn't wipe cache/data, dalvik etc... after update to ICS).
You should try to manually insert DNS server parameters (best to use google --> 8.8.8.8 or 4.4.4.4 or 8.8.4.4)
Or try some of modding apps to make your DNS working again - that will required *ROOT*
Post here what happened, good luck!

[Q] Phishing/ads redirects

Hi all,
I hope someone can assist me with an issue I'm having.
Like two weeks ago, I started seeing the websites I visit getting randomly redirected to a Adobe Flash clone website asking me to update my flash player. In a way that is harmless as soon as I press the back button and don't download their fake apk, but it is starting to get annoying. First the address in the address bar changes to tracevisit.com/files/smsp-2.html then it goes to flowinstall.com.
Is there any way to know which app is causing those redirects?
Thanks in advance!
Yes, it's happens in different browsers on my phone, and it's annoying.

you need Root!
If i helped press thanks

Thanks but...
Thanks for the answer erdal67, I already had Adblock but it didn't solve the issue as I am dealing with a url redirect, not ads on a page.
Say I want to access XDA on Chrome, the site opens, then there is a chance that it will be redirected to the site cited before (tracevisit), which will then redirect to the Adobe Flash player clone site.

I'll try this out and let you know in a day or so after confirmation. Cleared cache, cookies, and disabled JS too. Will be waiting for a result. Thanks!
EDIT: it did work, I also used the Pimp My Rom app to block redirects. It did not help me find the app causing the issue, but no more redirects for me!
