Today I installed GSam app from Google Play. I have noticed it shows more screen on time than statitics in battery settings. I'm on 86% currently, and battery settings shows 55 minutes, while GSam shows 1 hour and 10 minutes. I was wondering why I'm getting less SOT on KitKat, and now I'm starting to think there's some false reading in default battery settings section. Has anyone noticed this?
Did u restart ur phone or turn it off, the moment you turn it off for like 5 min or more the counting is reset and u lose previous stats. This is not an issue, it's simply how LG designed it.

No I didn't. I charged my phone untill it reached 100%, and then unplugged it from charger.

Suddenly, now GSam shows less SOT, than Settings. I'm on 62%, and Settings shows 2h 56min of SOT, and GSam shows 2h 44min of SOT. Strange.

Gsam gets reset as soon as you plugin the phone, but settings don't unless it is full. You might have connected to PC which could have reset Gsam but left the settings same.

I didn't do any connecting or disconecting. I don't know whay this was happening.
Anyways, I just can't get more than 5 hours SOT on my phone. Bluetooth and location are off. Wifi and Data are on. Brightness is on auto, but I'v noticed that auto allways sets it to 20% of brightness. I do no gaming on my phone, only about 30 minutes of phone calls, WhatsApp and Facebook with Syncing on. Is this normal? My battery life on 4.2.2 was definitly better.
gsam is fully configurable. I have changed it's setting to reset only when fully charged. since my phone is rarely plugged in throughput the day and even less rarely plugged in and not charged to full, this made sense.

Another battery drain thread....
The battery life on my UK S2 during the day is fine - from 8am to 5pm in the office it goes from 100% to 75%, with 3G on the whole time (no wifi, GPS or bluetooth). I check emails throughout the day but make/receive very few calls.
Last night I charged the phone to 100% then installed ZDBox, put the phone into Do Not Disturb/Airplane mode between midnight and 9am using ZDBox, and left the phone by my bedside upstairs. When I checked it at 08:50 this morning the phone was still in airplane mode but the battery had dropped to 25%.
If I can go 9 hours in the office with 3G switched on, and occasional email checking, and still retain 75% charge, why would it have dropped from 100% to 25% while in airplane mode for 9 hours at home overnight?
The battery usage stats at 08:50 this morning showed:
Android O/S 96%
Android System 2%
Dialer 2%
I'm running stock XWKI4 (2.3.4), upgraded via Kies and rooted.

i would also urge people to purchase this app in the market to support the developer who is always on hand to offer assistance on XDA and always posts updates on here too, it's well worth the small charge for a great app.
So I have narrowed down why my battery dies even when I'm not using my phone...for some reason when I look at the stats under battery usage, the battery seems to be awake almost 60 to 70 percent of the time, EVEN when I'm not using the phone...my battery lasted a total of 15 hours...I made a 20 minute phone call and screen usage was 25 minutes on lowest settings....4g was on wifi was on...automatic background data was off...gps on....everything else was off....why is the phone waking when it is not being used???? any way to find out?

Have you tried restarting your phone and then tracking the battery usage?
Just my .02 here, I installed Earth HD live wallpaper and the phone went crazy. I keep it plugged into my laptop during the day and noticed that the battery was slowly draining instead of maintaining, not much only a couple of percent. Toward the end of the day I noticed the the battery charge was in the 50% range and dropping fast, you could see the go down so I did a reboot and the charge came back at 4%. So you may want to look at what you have installed and try removing apps that may cause issues. I removed the app and now no problems, I'm also using Beastmod.
My DNA battery has gone crazy. Last night the battery was at 66%, I restarted it and the battery went up to 76%. Today, the battery was at 33%, I rebooted it and the battery dropped to 17%. After that I rebooted it again to see if it would go back up and it dropped to 14%. So I did it one last time and that battery then went up to 24%. I dont get it and on top of that my battery life has been terrible recently.
To try to extend it I have installed Lux to manage the screen brightness, I have turned off backup and Google Location Service.
I got Nova Launcher yesterday to see if that helps, I'm using Greenify to close apps and CleanMaster to get rid of junk. I dont use Google Now or have any apps sync/receive notifications besides Messages and Phone. I can't get through the day and I don't use my phone from 7am to 12 in the afternoon.
I have 25 apps installed from Google Play and all the bloatware and useless apps disabled. I use Next Browser instead of Stock/Chrome
Any solutions or suggestions

Maybe just try to do full cycles with the batter to re-calibrate it, charge it up 100%+ and drain it 99%, rinse/repeat a few times.

Ive read that you arent supposed to drain the battery and this phone is unpredictable for when it will turn off from a low battery.
Sometimes it turns off at 8%, sometimes it might turn off at 2%

You're right about draining the battery however we cannot fully drain these batteries. The system shuts the phone down when it hits a certain level, however you can still power the device back on after it does this, thus the battery still has charge and not fully drained.
And yes they can be unpredictable.
Mine will shut down when it gets to about 5 percent but I was using it one time and it went from 8 to 2 in a second and powered itself down. I think they all act weird when they get really low but your issue sounds like the battery is on its last leg.

According to your battery stats, what's draining the battery the most? Also download GSam battery stats to get a more detailed look at the apps and services that are consuming battery.
Maybe your battery is past its prime, but you want to be sure its not an app or service draining things before giving up.
My Droid 3 and 4 are still going strong as long as I charge them fully and then periodically drain them to 10%.
My HAM2 is reporting battery level incorrectly. It keeps on going normally till about 35% and then within a few minutes, it drops down to zero and turns off. I have used the battery calibration app to try to reset the battery stats but to no avail, the problem persists. Any help will be appreciated. The ham2 is rooted and TWRP installed.

While not to the same degree, I notice once I get to about 10%, it's a crap-shoot as to whether I'm going to get another hour or so or 10 minutes. The longer I have this phone, the more I notice it's a buggy mess.

That is usually a sign of a damaged battery.
Mine is only week old but I've run down under twenty percent and it's drained and dropped consistently. Might contact Huawei since it has two year warranty.
I'll run mine down today and see what I experience.

Try recalibrating your battery, if your phone is reporting incorrect charge. The BMS within the battery might need reset.
When your phone is down to "critical level" (before the phone is ready to turn off) reboot into Recovery Mode. Let phone sit and drain until it empties.
Once empty, let sit for 4 hours. This will reset the "low value".
Charge with phone off to 100%, leave phone off. Unplug and let sit off for another 4 hours. Turn phone back on and use as normal, the battery *should* be recalibrated. The reason for waiting is to redefine a "high" and "low" charge state. If current is constantly being supplied or drained, then it will see those values as a "blip" rather than a calibration number.
It isn't always a bad battery, sometimes it's just miscalibrated.

I have this problem too. When my battery gets down to about 15%, I get a warning that I must plug in my charger immediately. I have to do it within 15 seconds or so or my battery plummets all the way to 0% and shuts down the phone. My phone is not rooted, so I don't think I have a "Recovery Mode". Or do I? Would I use the same procedure and be able recalibrate my battery ? When I restart my phone by regular (unrooted) startup after a 100% charge and 4 hour wait, would I get a Recovery Mode option or not? If not would it still recalibrate the battery?

Yea this was similar to my drain months ago . Eh idk why it's changed . Have had the same setup all this time , with amplify (wakelocks/alarm blocker) and deep sleep when screen off (PowerNap) . I have switched the sim to at&t (previously T-Mobile) .. Though both have a similar signal range at home . Not sure , will try with a t mobile sim again and will compare .

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Huawei Mate 9's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

Same as me.. hoping it gets better though..
from 23:00 to 9:00 battery drained from 14 to 8% with everything on (2 sims, 3g&4g+, wifi on - not connected, location on.
I think that at some level depends on how long we have it. I find that the the power consumption raises as day goes by.
I loose 1-2% of battery per night. Tweaked settings a bit. . Wifi/Bluetooth/NFC off during night. Check which apps are are eating your MaH in battery usage details during night time. For example my biggest eaters are Google Fit with approx 5 MaH per night and Swift Keyboard with about same + Hardware consumption of course, phone standby, device idle,... I have set most my applications to automatically close after I lock my screen. So I don't have to do that manually.
3% in 9 hours. 3 apps left running in the background (FB, FB messenger, and trigger). BT off, Wifi & mobile data on (2 active SIMs).
Very simple solution how to conserve power and increase standby time during your sleep is to turn off wifi and bluethooth. Unless it's critical for you during your sleep. For example today I went to sleep with 66% battery left, slept 9 hours and woke up with 66%. Less than 1% battery consumed over 9 hours.
I will try this.. thanks
I just got this phone 3 days ago, on its second charge and I went to bed last night at 11 o clock. Went from 92 to 91 percent when I got up at half Pas 6 this morning. Can't complain there
Still on the 126 firmware tho.
Edit/
So I got the update to 138 a few days ago and things looked real bad. At first, for some reason the battery got about 20 percent worse than at 126. I'm not a Facebook user so I can't blame Facebook nor messenger for that, I don't have those apps installed.
Now after a few days battery had gotten a lot better with this firmware and now I can say it's pretty much the same as the 126 update. Maybe even better!

My standby drain is pretty bad for a phone with such a huge battery. I just wiped the phone yesterday (for the third time), didn't recover from backup but set it up as a new phone to avoid the Google Sync problems I previously had. I installed just 8 apps: Twitter, Whatsapp, Telegram, Snapseed, Yelp, Youtube Studio and Spotify.
After 50% have gone, I have 2:50min of screen on time. As you can see, the phone wakes up way too often. In the very beginning of the graph I just unplugged the phone and let it rest. It seemed to deep sleep, but still lost about 6%. I also turned off wifi for an hour somewhere in the middle, but it doesn't show up. The battery life could be just so much better.. It's just disappointing.
I put the screenshots in the Google Drive. Can't post them here for some reason?! https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzAs5-iV39iCTUpnYmpiLXJ5WEk
