[Q] Help needed, stuck at boot - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hi,
I could really need some help.
What happend, i prepared to go from HairyBean to CM11 downloaded bootloader files roms, ...
Via the Power Menu i could not reboot into recovery so I tried via GooManager.
After this:
The Prime gets stuck hat the boot screen ( The Device is unlocked + Asus Logo )
If i reboot the device with both Vol Down + Vol Up pressed the screen stay dark but i get an APX Device ( via USB)
I red through some threads about wheelie blobs and ?? but could sort things out.
Any help is highly welcome !
Br,
Jörg

RMA is probably only
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22897771
There is no APX mode here. When booting with vol -/power, and doing nothing after, you must face a screen with three icons. You go on the middle icon with vol down and validate by volume up and you're in fastboot mode.
When booting with vol down + power then immediately after volume up then you boot in recovery mode.
Are you sure to do the right thongs?
the problem is that when booting with vol -/power, I've screen with "Booting recovery kernel image" and nothing more!!
I don't have with three icons

have you tried to install the drivers in apx mode?
Yes,
APX it works very well, but nothing can do about it.
When booting, are you trying to boot into recovery or is it automatically booting to recovery.
After flashing the recoveries that Roach has in his thread, you have to let the tablet try to boot normally. This is the point at which the recovery is actually flashed.
When you flash the zip it puts the files to the staging partition and then when you boot normally the staging partition flashes the new recovery.
I hope that all makes sense.
Basically if you haven't tried to boot normally since flashing the zip, then the flash process has not yet completed.
Well, I had the same problem today... and am in the same situation... rebooted the system after flashing and it just sits at the screen trying to boot into recovery... Can get into APX but not into recovery or Fastboot.
I guess I either send it in for service, or wait for NVFLasher.
Well after some long conversation with Asus, basically it is bricked. I can send it to them at my expense and they will give me a quote on repair. They said according to their records my serial number has the bootloader unlocked and is therefor off warranty.
This is true, but I just wanted to offer an update on my situation..
great , i think i did the same thing
can you pass me the contact?

I think this recovery.img was not walid... I did that with my phone too, and nothing appear in screen. U have to flash another kernel (i suggest, the doomlords kernel). After that turn on the phone, and press the volume up, when doomlord logo appears.
hope it helps.
How are you getting on is your phone back on?

If you tried the methods above with no joy it obviously isn't installed. With the cwm you are trying is there a .bat file in the download on your computer. If so while your phone is plugged into PC run the bat file and follow onscreen instructions. Then try launching cwm again. If you havnt managed it yet leave a message and I'll find it.

I am posting here as I am facing the same problem.
I have been following this guide to flash my phone with CM10 from ICS stock rom.
h#ttp#://androidlegend.com/xperia-s-update-to-android-4-1-jelly-bean-with-cyanogenmod-10/
I have successfully followed everything done previously, including Unlocking the bootloader, getting root access, installing busybox, using RecoverX to install CWM.
I copied the FXP150-cm-10.1-20121209-UNOFFICIAL-mint.zip to sdcard, is it this that is required to flash to ROM or the boot.img that is inside the zip?
And I am stuck on that part where I have to reboot into recovery mode. I have tried
a) Connecting my phone and opening fastboot mode and then try to keep the vol up pressed to open recovery mode.
b) Without connecting, powering my phone on and pressing volume up. But there is no blue LED
c) Without connecting, powering my phone on and continuously tapping on sony logo. After that Xperia logo.
But I can not enter the recovery mode.
A little guidance please?
Flashing CM needed a seperate kernel. Keep following the instructions to use fastboot to flash the boot.img
Power the phone off. Hold vol + then plug the USB cable in. There should be a blue light.
Poorly written tutorial IMO. Should be flashing kernel first then the rom to save some panic.
I asked the Sony-Support, they say that there is no recovery-mode.(for Xperia U, but they are the "same")

Guys, dont ask Sony cause stock ROM doesnt have recovery.
If you want to flash CM you must fastboot the boot.img inside the zip file, before that put the ROM into your phone memory, power on the phone and keep pressing vol up, enter into CM recovery and flash rom from phone memory. Wipe before and after.
Agree, stock ROM doesn't have Recovery Mode. When you turn your phone with VOL_UP, nothing happens :cyclops:

try flashing it again, maybe your first flash had an error.
Met the same problem and here what I did:
-Take off the battery in 10 minutes and put it back
-Plug the charger into the phone and do the logging in CWM steps (press and hold the volumme up, press the power button).
Finally it worked, hope this can help

HELP - Xperia S stuck in boot logo

My Xperia S is just a week old with locked bootloader.
I rooted it and backed it up thru CWM.
I applied a sound mod thru CWM which i did not like so tried to flash back my backup.
Before flashing i wiped everything possible, cache, data, system, dalvik cache, battey stats.
When i tried to flash my backup the recovery says there is ' MD5 Mismatch '
So now my Xperia S is stuck at boot logo, does not go into recovery, does not go into flash mode so i'm not able to flash thru flashtool or seus.
I tried holding Power and Vol Up button , but it only restarts the mobile and again stuck at boot logo.
Pls help i'm losing hopes.
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried turning the phone off, hold vol up and connecting USB and see if you can get it into fastboot mode?

ok dont panic, hold POWER + VOLUME UP and when it vibrates release the buttons. Boot the phone. If its still stuck than hold POWER + VOLUME UP for 20 seconds and repair the phone with seus since its with locked bootloader. If that doesnt work, download firmware around this forum and flash the phone

Anyway i've given it to the service centre, if they cannot get repair it they will be replacing it.
Thanks for replies everyone, anymore are welcome.

Another thing i learnt is that from sept 16 all sony ericsson service centers will be shut down and the customers have to go to sony showrooms for repairs or replacements here in india.

Bad Recovery
I'm thinking I completely ****ed up my phone, but someone please prove me wrong.
I flashed the ROM but it got stuck on the bootloading screen. So I rebooted into CWM and did a SYSTEM restore.
Problem is, I restored the system to when it did not have CWM flashed yet.
So now, it boots into the custom bootloading image and stays there. When I hold power+volume to reboot into CWM, it loads the original bootloading image (as expected) and gets stuck there because (I'm guessing?) I did not do a full restore.

If you have locked bootloader, repair it via SUS or PC Companion. If you an unlocked bootloader flash the rom (ftf) via flashtool.

Charge your phone. You have to press and hold the volume up and power button simultaneously until the phone vibrates 3 times and turns off completely. Then try to connect the phone in flashmode.

Tablet restart before showing the logo

Hi,
My tablet is restarting right when it shows the "Samsung galaxy tab 10.1", it doesn't even go to recovery or showing the Samsung logo, even the battery charging seems to be stuck (not working, the loading on the battery is stopped and wont move)
I tried recharging the tablet for a day, still having the same problem. The tablet was working fine until this suddenly happend
appreciate any help
Are you able to enter recovery mode?
Start with tablet powered off
Hold 'vol down' and 'power' buttons on tablet
Release 'power' when samsung image is shown
Release 'vol down' when the two icons are shown
Use the 'vol down' to navigate between the icons
Highlight the left icon (box)
Press the 'vol up' to select it and boot into recovery mode
Thanks for the reply, yes I can access the download mode, but when I choose to recovery I got a black screen (I have CWM recovery installed)
I think you fill have to reflash using Odin. One more thing you can try is complete reset (hold down all three buttons about 10s until the device powers off, then start up again)
I did the reset thing but didn't work, I did try to flash some image that I found on xda with odin but still the same problem, can you please link for an image that I should flash (my tablet is p7500 3g)
You would need to reflash CWM first. After that, try the stock ICS ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831040
I tried flashing the CWM recovery, but still getting a black screen when I try to access it. I tried flashing a boot loader "BOOTLOADER_P7500JPKG6_CL429994.tar" but still having the same problem. any idea whats the problem.
Thanks in advance.

If you can't access CWM, it did not flash correctly. Try the instructions at https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_p4wifi or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462961
I really did the exact steps (links are not working but I got the files), and still cannot access the CMW recovery, I'm getting a black screen.
Sorry, but I'm not sure if I can help any further. If you are not able to access recovery after successfully flashing a new recovery, it's perhaps a hardware issue.

Booting into recovery using "adb reboot recovery" might have bricked my device.

Booting into recovery using "adb reboot recovery" might have bricked my device.
Hello. I am currently using, or, well, was using an Xperia XA1 Plus, running Android 8. Tried to get it rooted recently. However, I always had trouble booting into recovery mode. I had bootloader unlocked, went into fastboot and installed the recovery.img, but whether I held Vol Up or Vol Down + Power, nothing happened; the device just kept rebooting into normal Android. Then I went on the internet and looked around, and found out about "adb reboot recovery". And this is where I ran into the problem. After pushing the command, the device now doesn't seem capable of booting anymore. Any combination of buttons, whether Vol Up or Vol Down + Power wouldn't do anything.
Is this considered a hard brick? Is there any way to save my phone? Much appreciated.
Try to flash recovery image, three times in a row, without disconnecting and rebooting.
Than try to boot to recovery

Hey, thanks for the answer.
Unfortunately, I couldn't boot into fastboot mode. However, thanks to your suggestion, I found out that flashmode was still available, and managed to flash the firmware again! The device is back!
