My Windows Phone 7.8 HTC Titan X310e is automatically powering on/off continously until battery dies.
The battery led is not working even when in charging mode (through PC USB or Direct Power).
I charged the battery and tried again and still looping.
I tried to hared reset the device but it goes off before I can continue.
the same thing happens when I tried to access the USB Host Mode.
Whever I put the battery the device goes on (even without pressing the power button) then tries to start and goes off again. then lives in this loop until the battery dies.
The vibrator works fine, the screen as well.
Please help me with this issue.

I noticed that my hp touchpad was shutting down while in standby. I immediately thought it was a autoupgrade and so when it booted up and started installing the new webos I panicked and hit the power and home buttons to prevent the upgrade because I have CM7 alpha 3.5.
When I booted it up again I could only see a battery icon with a question mark in the middle. I can't make my win7 pc recognize the tablet and nor does the hp doctor for the same reason.
Does anyone have a clue how I can fix this? I know that some people in the past had this same issue that was caused by faulty usb cable or not having the battery correctly inserted (for other webos devices) but this is not the case. Just before I canceled the upgrade I had 20% battery and I had it plugged in and charging.
Thanks.
Don't know if you already tried it or if it helps, but charge your TP with the original charger and your cable while the icon appears. After app. 2 h charging (should be sufficient) try to reboot it (power + mid button) into recovery mode (vol up button). If this does'n work (no reboot or something) try to force reboot (hold power button and press 10 times the home button quite fast) into recovery mode. After that, the USB icon should appear and doctoring should work (exept if you have created an extf3 partition which has to be removed BEFORE doctoring).
Hope it helps...
Best, z3no
I had it plugged in yesterday for most of the day and nothing happened apart from booting up to the same screen. Left it during the night unplugged and now can't get it to boot again. Just a bank screen , nothing happens. I have it plugged in for the last 2h but nothing changed.
Basics
Have you tried holding both the power button and the "center" or "home" button down for about 20 seconds? Release when you see the HP logo. That should force a hard reset. It saved my bacon when I had a problem caused by the new WebOS update.

thanks. I did it for more than a minute and nothing. I can't get any response from it now.
Try another charger, maybe the one you have is faulty?
There is also a posibility that the cable is now bad. I had a friend have the similar symptoms. It turned out he was abusing his cable to the point is was intermittent. He'd plug it in and think it was charging, just to come back and find it black screen, dead. He replaced it with his Blackberry charge cable (micro USB) and he's good to go.
I had the same issue with charging from day one I found that both of my touchpads
Had issues charging With the touchpad cables
the cable to me seems very flimsy so I went out and bought two blackberry cables and I have had no problems since then and the cables feel a lot better made than the hp cables
So just before going for extreme measures (aka open the device) I decided to phone HP that told me that they were going to collect the device free of charge because it's still under warranty (they confirmed that). The problem is what if they find out that I had and Ext3 with android on it? will they charge me for the fix? because the issue must be in the battery (once it can not even charge or boot). But can they fix the battery but then charge me because later they find out about the CM7 stuff? Thanks for your help
Hi,
As soon as I switch on my Htc One X + it just shows Htc logo and shuts off. But if I plug my charger and then start my phone then it completely loads but again shuts off in few seconds. Is the problem related to battery or there might be some other problem with my phone ? Just before this issue started my phone was getting too heated. And if I click on menu and volume down key it gives me a message (Battery level is too low to flash).
Thanks.

Keep your phone turned off while put in the charger for 4 hours, then try to turn it on without a charger plugged in.
Even if your phone is turned off it should charge properly.
Hi there,
I have an issue with my Samsung Galaxy S3; had it for a few years on O2 network in the UK. Recently, I left my phone to charge over night after the battery ran out of charge. I woke up to find no charge LED on the phone, and I couldn't turn it on.
I have tried the following things to power it up:
- booting it up in recovery mode (Home button, power button and Volume DOWN simultaneously).
- taking out the battery, pressing the power button a few times, then starting the phone up again with the battery in the phone.
- taking out the battery, pressing the power button and holding it for 10 seconds, and doing both normal power up, and recovery mode.
Now, a week later, after my phone completely died (and having to do with a Nokia Lumia 610 replacement), I came across a YouTube video in which someone recommends to plug it via USB into the computer, taking out SD Card and booting it up through recovery mode. Voila! I was amazed to see that it booted up; I had my menu and everything.
So I charged it to about 10% via the PC, and decharged it back down to zero. Plugged it back into the socket, and again, not a single sign of life from the phone.
To summarize, the phone only turns on via PC with USB connection, and fails to charge through the socket. I'm on Stock, non-rooted phone; with Android 4.3 and Kernel 3.0.31-2168382. When I try to do a software update, it tells me that I have the latest one. eMMC check app also tells me that I have an insane chip.
Where do I begin looking for a fix? I would be forever grateful for your help!
My S9+ was acting quite weird this morning. Some apps continuously crashed or wouldn't start.
So i rebooted my phone (just from the normal power button menu) and then it went completely black.
It doesn't charge (or at least, it doesn't show it charging), it doesn't respond to forced resets and the screen is completely black.
The only thing it does, is briefly show a USB device when connecting it to a PC.
I've connected it to a Linux dev computer i have laying around and i see the following device connected briefly:
VID: 0x04e8
PID: 0x1234
It stays connecting longer if i hold the power button (about 8 seconds before power cycling).
The only things i could find online were some very old threads about Samsung's DNW mode, but nothing from this decade.
I think my Flash chip might be cooked, but i hope i'm wrong.
Anyone got any experience with this?
Update
I've sent it back to Samsung for repair under warranty.
The flash chip was gone. It started corrupting writes and finally it was so far gone that it couldn't load the bootloader.
They've replaced the main board and battery (probably because they tested it and saw it was going bad), that fixed it.
Hi guys, so I recently came across my old phone and just remembered all the things I had on it. However when I try to switch the phone on, nothing happens. I've left it on charge for a few hours and still nothing. I tried to turn it on again (even during the charging process) and still nothing. I then gave it the old soft/hard reset by holding down the power+volume down button for 15 secs, nothing. Then held down all the buttons....nothing, no vibration, no form of life whatsoever.
When I plug it into the PC, the sound of a device being connected plays, then the disconnect sound follows about 3 seconds after. I tried the soft reset method when I plugged it into the PC and after about 10 secs, the same sounds played as if my computer had detected a device but then disconnected it. This must mean there's some sort of life in the phone right? Any chance anyone knows a solution to this?
Charged it for about 4 days, still no sign of it turning on!
After charging, press and hold Vol-down and On/off buttons together for a longer time. It should vibrate and switch on.
Best regards,
Joachim
