Herro.
Well, because its so big and lumpy, i've dropped it a few times. And that causes the sides to snap off. And im talking about the "chrome" side.
Anyone knows an easy fix?

I've this issue too . But I think it's just a reef of anti-dust coating paint, not a cracking plastic housing. Trust me, U can see another reefs between back camera and led light too.

me too..
I can't find it in Indonesia.
It's not a lens, it's a piece of plastic, can't you just do a home fix since the rim is quite large and pretty easy to accomplish?
Out of stock here http://www.techgsm.com/Middlecover_Sony_Ericsson_ST17i_Xperia_Active_original_,141841.html, but may be if you ask ...
Hi i would like to know where in my Active is the external Loudspeaker located... (sunddenly the sound is absolutly bad) i would like to replace it... where i can find it?
After wiping clean my screen I found out there is a small white dust particle under the Gorilla glass but above the actual screen. So it's always visible. It has about the size of a pixel.
Anybody else having this problem?
Unfortunately my refund period of 8 days just passed, so I can't get an exchange any more. I've read somewhere that the screen and glass is one bit, so that would mean a possible repair also includes a new screen. Anybody experience with dust particles under the touchscreen itself (so not the gap between screen and bezel) and Samsung repair?
I had this problem years ago while using htc desire hd.
I dont think they (samsung) care this issue and try to repair. I know its disturbing you but belive me its just not a problem at all. If you want to see that dust and look for that, you see that dust. But you know what i am saying.. just forget it

That is true. But things that are once seen, are hard to be unseen... And it just annoys me that there are other SGS3's without any particles under the glass of the touchscreen...
Hello.
Can someone upload a video showing how to change the housing cover of the Xperia S, or tell me how to do it?
I dropped my phone and now its got a chip on one of its corners which I want to remove immediately.
I have damaged my xperia s too
i know where to buy a housing kit from but, im too scared to just dive in and dismantle my device... I have had a look at the disassembly guide but it doesnt really talk about talking the screen off or anything.
Really interested in this please get back to us :fingers-crossed::good:

Thanks, that would be helpful.
It says in the manual, when we remove the bottom cap, "scrap, not to be reused". Is it talking about the bottom cap? Will I have to buy a new cap once I remove it ?
U can reuse it but be careful not to broke it

I got an gt-s5830i with gingerbread 2.3.6 comes with the factory system. The phone get broken, so touch screen and the cover from behind where the battery is. So for couple days the back was covered with tape to avoid the dust and the sand going in on the battery, mainboard etc, dont do that is a really bad idea!!! The tape get ripped off with the handling getting part of a flex cable that looks like black patch frm outside and inside got a little copper plate. The phone works fine and i dont see where this part affects the device. Only the headphones are working strange about not aligned contact cause i don´t use the original phones. Can somebody say what is this part and how can affect the device???
I found nothing on the service manual about this, if is a kind of ground circuit, or interference filter. Pictures attached.
I think that was network strip..like antena
