Hi
I have an old sim card i'm not using since a long time ago.. and "#!!, i forgot the pin... Now i want to use for some tests...but no pin.
Since i'm new in these "bootloader" and "so on" things, can anybody help me how to get rid of the sim card pin ?
thanks!
Use the PUK code
Use the PUK code delivered with your SIM to reset the PIN for the SIM. It has nothing to do with the bootloader.
If you've also lost the paper with the PUK code on it then try calling the Service Provider from whom the SIM came.
If the Service Provider can't help you then you're on your own.
Regards,
Mark
yeah
IF i had the PUK . . .
Vodafone online will provide puk, just log on to internet.
I have Orange provide HTC Mozart, updated to latest update (7390). Recently got the unlocking code from Orange, entered it, works OK.
However, I noticed that with Orange SIM it receive both 3G and 2G signals but with any other operator SIM it only receive 3G signals, NO 2G signals.
Any idea what's wrong?
are you worried because your phone gets the best signal?! probably other operators provide better 3G signal and your phone automatically chooses the 3G.. I think you can choose not to receive 3G signal in the mobile network settings..
Hi, no I tested it with 3G signal off but the phone is not catching any 2G signal except orange 2G.
is there any way entering the code again?
may i need to enter code manually for the 2G carriers?

GO into the HTC APPS into the marketplace u Will find it
yes u Will choose the carrier & if u change for an another Sim carrier then u Will have to launch This app again(Just One time for the App cofigure your network)
if u keep the same sim carrier it Will select the network forever
I found "Connection Setup" in HTC Apps and tried that, seems like it's the same you're referring to. I tried it but no luck. I think the unlock code only unlock the SIM but not the carriers.
I just bought an HTC legend off a friend. He was using it on Fido, so it is SIM unlocked. I put in my Bell SIM card and, while trying to register, I keep getting the message that the phone is unable to connect. Any ideas as to what is causing this?
Ask Bell to provide you with APN settings for their 3G network. You'll need it if you're going to access their network while previously on another.
Sent from my Legend using XDA App
Hey guys Just put my Straight talk sim in (Att) and I activated my card with the sim and I booted up the phone and it asks for "enter network lock control key" but I thought my phone was unlocked so I checked by dialing *#7465625#
and I got the fowling
Network Lock [Off]
Network Subset Lock [off]
SP Lock [off]
CP lock [off]
Does this mean it's unlocked?
What code do I enter?
Thanks
Call at&t and ask for the code if you have an account. Or go to www.cellphoneunlocker.com and pay a few dollars. Or go to the thread for unlocking steps using some modem flashing.
But yes, if the phone asked, its locked.

Somewhere in this thread is the specific settings for ST data. You have to input APN settings and save them.
how would i be able to unlock the sim for switching from sprint to boost?
I don't know of a free way l, but I used the services provided by gsmzambia to network unlock my device.
