Is there a way to resize the widgets(i.e. Calender, Google Now, etc)? When ever I long press it only opens up the Themer settings, and double tap just opens up the widget. I don't see a option to resize in the settings for gestures either.
Thanks.

Hi,
If you long press on the homescreen > Advanced > Unlock Widgets, this will enable you to resize/remove the widgets for that screen. Repeat the process in order to lock them in place. If a widget takes up the whole screen and you aren't able to get to some free space, go into Themer's main settings > Advanced > Desktop > Lock Desktop Widgets.
Hope this helps!
*POOF* Worked like magic, tyvm.

I'm trying to remove widgets from my phone (using CM7, last version) but when I long press the widget, I receive the feedback (vibration) and the trash icon do not appear, neither I can move the widget.
It will be much better if it's no necessary for me to format the phone and install all the apps again!
Could someone help me?
Which launcher are you using?
just uninstall the program and reinstall the program again. no need to reformat the phone.
if it is adwlauncher, press the menu button (at left) > more > unlock desktop. And then try to delete it. Or check the trash can icon position on adw settings

I'm yet a little confused moving from WinMo 6 to Android.
Thank you.
some launchers bring this option, is useful when you lend your phone and don't want to someone modify the desktop
You can try delete the app on Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications
When I get a text message Ive got my phone set to turn the screen on. I have a stand for my phone that props it up and points it at me in my office. Is there a way to get it to display the notification horizontally on the screen rather than in the standard vertical position on the lock screen?
I think this has something to do with the lock screen being portrait. I could be wrong though

If you mean the homescreen, it depends of your launcher. Almost of all have an option to achieve it (screen settings >orientation settings, or something like that).
If you mean all the GUI, and you have a CyanogenMod based ROM, go to Settings >CM Setings >Screen, and disable 0° option.

My launcher is ADW EX. Not sure on version.
I sometimes use WidgetLocker when I feel like changing things up between MIUI themes and other lock screens.

In the homescreen, press menu button >more >ADW Settings, and go to UI Settings >Screen preferences >Home orientation. Select Landscape.
In the bottom of ADW Settings screen you can view which is your version

That changes home screen orientation, not the lockscreen orientation.
Damn... that's right. Well, searching I found this. It's a long process, but it's pretty easy

On MIUI in the Framework-Res I dont have a bools.xml file or the config_ string.
Anyone else?
you can set widget locker to alter the orientation to match the phones.
I just installed the stock deodexed Jelly Bean ROM and I've run into a weird problem. I have GMail, Facebook, Evernote, etc installed, but they don't show up as options in the 'Share via' menu in Chrome and other apps. All I get in the 'Share via' menu are four options: Astrid Tasks, Bluetooth, chomp SMS, and Dropbox. I've tried reinstalling Chrome and the various other apps that I would like to have in the menu, but no luck. All apps show up just fine in the Gallery app's 'Share' menu, but I think that menu is specific to Gallery since it's an HTC app, not a native Android app. Anyone know how to edit the "Share via" menu or how I can get these missing options to show up?
its now a scrollable menu, should be able to scroll up and down.

Wow. I can't believe how dumb I am. I was going through the XML files, looking for where the share menu config settings might be. It simply didn't occur to me that the menu might be scrollable since it occupied such a small portion of the screen. D'oh. Thanks a million.
In any case, I did find an app with a good workaround for my non-existent problem:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andmadesoft.share&hl=en
The purpose of this app is that it lets you replace the standard share menu with a customizable share menu in which you can select multiple sharing options at once.

Long press anywhere on homescreen, then select unlock widgets.
Now long press on the widget you want to edit, a menu will pop up select configure, then select the text you want to reassign thenin the small row of options below select text>hotspot> then replace the default app by clicking it and selecting desired app in activities menu.
Sounds complicated but pretty easy

Hey There,
Im running SlimKat on my Nexus S. Unfortunately I can`t edit my lockscreen. Anyway, there is a dashclock widget on the lockscreen. I want to replace it with a different widget. How can I do this without Lockscreen Settings within the Rom (SlimKat Bulid 3)?
Thanks in advance!
fluxional hineicd
Same problem here.
The dashclock app doesn't show my messages, missed calls, whatsapp messages and email. It only shows temperature and gmail email count.
Noone knows about that?!?!
Put your finger on the clock, drag it down to the lock icon, now you have a settings icon on the right of the clock.
+1
Moreover go to Settings > Security > Check 'Enable widgets' under 'Screen Security'.
Go to the lockscreen then press and hold the finger on the left and swype to the right to show up a new screen to be able to add new widgets.

That was the first one I tried I've gone through the whole settings menu at least 5 times but not a thing about changing the widgets on lockscreen. At least I got rid of the Dashclock widget by disabling the app.

Just to add to what has already been posted, I was Googling for a solution, found it and then found this thread. I am running Slimkat on my LG G Pad 8.3. Adding extensions to Dashclock can help. To edit settings, on the standard Slimkat lockscreen, there is a small gear icon on the right-hand side of the clock, tap that, unlock your screen, and an "Extensions" screen pops up. Extensions can also be deleted at will.
There aren't many extensions installed by default (4 or 5 I think) but you can add more through the Play Store (tap on the top right hand side menu, then tap Get more extensions).

Are you using Dashclock or another type of widget?
If you tap once on the clock, then unlock, what does your screen show?
If you press and hold just under the clock, can you tap on a giant "+" that appears on the left (and add another widget) or delete the clock widget altogether by sliding it to the left on the Remove option?
