Well Hi,
I've been trying to flash a rom on my phone yesterday, and I've unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM Touch v5.5.0.4, I then tried to flash TheBrainsRom v10 but my xperia was stuck in bootloop, it opened the sony splash screen, then a nexus splash screen then a sony splash screen and etc. So now, I tried solving the problem by flashing this kernel on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028139 "Other method to root just flash this kernel (B54) via fastboot and you are rooted : here" And that didn't work out too well, i'm now stuck in a bootloop at the sony splash screen. But strangely enough, I can still access the cwm recovery.
As for my phone it's a sony xperia U (ST25i) 6.1.1.b.1.10
Thanks for reading this, and please help me if you can :S

Yes, I did. :L
EDIT: I just saw that the recovery I'm using isn't for my firmware version... Should I flash an older version, even if this one works fine?
I did another full wipe, and reflashed the rom. But it's now stuck in the other bootloop the one that shows the sony splash screen, then the nexus splash screen.
By any chance, while installing ROM, did you wipe System ? I think thats the likeliest thing.
And dude, try flashing stock FTF with Flashtool It might help
Yeah flashing ftf solves everything
Sent from my ST25i using Tapatalk 2
Ok, I will do that, but how? And no, I didn't wipe System. Thanks for your help guys And if anyone can explain to me how to flash the stock ftf, please do.
Follow these steps
1) Start Flashtool
2) Click the Lightning icon then select your FTF
3) Exclude baseband if your device is STxxi and the firmware is for STxxa or viceversa
4) Press ok and start Flash. Then, after a minute or so, Flashtool will ask you to connect the device.
5) Turn off the phone. Connect the usb cable to the PC (not connected to Phone yet)
6) Holding down the "Volume Down" key, you connect the cable to your phone.
7) Give it a few seconds and a Green Light shows up. Then, flashing starts on Flashtool
8) Once flashtool starts flashing, you can stop holding down the Volume Key
9) Wait for the process to finish then unplug the phone and turn it on
That ought to solve your problems. The stock FTF can be found in Dev section of your phone. I'd recommend C.1.0 version as its newer

Well, you could download the update using SEUS and then make a ftf from it.
That is b.1.10 not C.
As far as I know c.1 is specific firmware made specially for T-Mobile Croatia and the only c.1 on this forum for now.

Hey bro,
Installing C.1.0 is quite fine on any device T-Mobile branding is minimal and can be easily removed Its the fastest of the 3 stock f/w in my opinion and least buggy I recommend you go with that one
Cheers

V10 of my Rom is for b54 or c10 firmware.
Not wondering if you stuck in bootloops if you not proceed acc. To my Rom instructions.
Thanks everyone! I flashed the stock ftf and then flashed thebrainsrom v10 and everything works great!
Hello.
I have rooted the xperia U using the flashtool by following a guide available on xda. Everything worked fine. I wanted to install a custom rom for which I had unlock my bootloader and flash a custom recovery for flashing the rom. I downloaded and flashed cwm. So I unlocked the bootloader using the official method, i flashed the boot.img of the custom rom(in fastboot) and tried to go to recovery, but my phone wouldn't switch ON now.
I was able to make it reach flashboot mode(green) and tried flashing ftf.. Even that's not working.
The service update software is not even detecting my phone.
Please help.:crying:
When you say, not switching on, can you feel it vibrate when you push the power button?
Also whats the error you receive on flashtool?
Yes, i do
But the screen is blank and I can only see the red notification light

May be you flashed wrong kernel, which is not for your phone.
Try to charge the phone for a few hours and after thats try flashmode again to flash stock rom...
same problem
Actually I am facing the same issue u had with your Sony xperia u. Please help.
Charge the battery, seems gone flat. Leave it on charge for half an hour or so. If that doesn't work maybe the software is corrupted to the point it doesn't cold boot to charge, so charge battery separately using external charger for half an hour or so. It should be able to boot at least to flash mode (Vol Down + Power).
TL,DR version:
A friend of mine has a Sony Xperia Sola which has been rooted a while ago and working on Unofficial CM9, now that he wanted a change of ROM,
i followed this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236413&highlight=enigma and downloaded Enigma 3.5, and "Next step", then i entered CWM and nandroid backed-up current ROM, then i wiped data, cache, dalvic and then, when i flashed Enigma 3.5...this is where problems occured...
The phone at first booted to the boot animation and then boot looped (took more than 15 minutes, assumed bootloop),
then i managed to enter CWM again, wiped everything, flashed Enigma, flashed next_step, same but this time it won't continue and bootloop, it just restarts the device in the middle of the animation screen...
So i tried to use Flashtool and flash stock .54 ROM, but it won't detect the device so tried to flash manually, extracted .ftf file...entered fastboot mode, and flashed system.sin, kernel.sin and userdata.sin....i followed steps given at a thread that only provided commands for only these three files and i assumed they were the most important ones (yeah...stupid move), i restarted, nothing changed at all...
Entered CWM recovery and waited for a ROM to be downloaded...and thought i should put the phone on charger...so switched it off and put on charger for half an hour or so...then when i tried to enter fastboot, it only blinks the LED in red for 10 times or so....and won't do anything other than that....
If i put the charger...the Sony logo appears and restarts...only to appear again, and the LED blinks red the first time only...

It took me 5 mins to read twice and understand
Okay firstly all files are important
Secondly
Are u able to enter flashmode or fastboot mode???
If fastboot mode is accessible
Best way now to recover device would b to flash a custom kernel having cwm
Then flash a standalone rom like xperiance lite v3
Try this and report... If u get status 7 or failed to get prop error let me knw

For future reference if the device is fixed...please provide a link to the ROM you mentioned....

Thanks...
BTW, this is the thread to the ROM i was downloading...
i think it's the ROM you mentioned...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113851
Besides me feeling like talking to myself, but i found out by doing some research that blinking red light means battery critically low, also all of a sudden it did go into fastboot mode...so i assumed it had charged while i put it in usb....so i flashed a kernel having CWM and now i am charging while i entered CWM so it won't happen again....will flash eXperience ROM and when all is good i will report...
Oh sorry
Xperiance lite is for u only nt sola
I dun knw which one is a standalone rom for sola.... Probably a stock based rom wid largest size
Have u tried pressing vol down and power button till u feel 3 vibrations to force shut the device and try to achieve flashmode
Also try combo wid volume up plus power till u feel vibrations
I think you didn't read my last couple of posts, anyways, i flashed that eXperience ROM and now working great! Thanks for your time and concern!
Hi,
Hope someone can help. I've tried to install a custom ROM today and I'm afraid I managed to brick my phone (Xperia P). Here is what i did:
I started out according to the Starters guide:
-Rooted phone
-Installed CWM
-Made a backup
-Unlocked Bootloader
-Installed JB Moonbreaker 3.5: at this point I was actually still following the starters guide, as in: wiping cache, wiping data, wiping dalvik cache and then installing from zip.
-The phone is currently stuck on the loading screen that comes after "Sony" and "Xperia" (the colorful swirling thingie)
-I can only shut it down by pressing and holding the power and volume up keys until it vibrates 3 times in a row.
-Starting with pressing volume down key repeatedly will not bring up CWM (also gets stuck on the same screen).
-Will also not fastboot anymore properly. (waiting for device for "fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version"; LED on device will not even light up as blue, goes to green instantly)
-In Device Manager I can see it as "Android" with a yellow exclamation mark.
-Sony PC Companion gives me the "My Sony Xperia P LT22 is connected" popup every 15 seconds but will actually not show the device as connected
I'm wondering if I can flash a stock rom on it to recover it or if there is anything else that can be done.
Thanks in advance

Keep the stock fw ready to be flashed using flashtool, enter into flashmode and flash it !
Sent from my Xperia U using xda app-developers app
Can't seem to get it flashed from flashtool. I'm pressing the back button and connecting the USB and I'M just getting the same stuff on the phone, while flashtool is waiting for the phone.
I did manage to enter fastboot again though. Should I be flashing CWM from here (since I can't enter it). Or kernel then rom? I'm a bit lost.

Its volume down key and Plug in USB, to enter flashmode
Not back button.
Or flash a kernel by fastboot mode, enter CWM and install the ROM (assuming you have the zip file in the SD card )

No luck. I get a green LED and nothing happens. If I hold down volume down for really-really long then I'm back to the same boot animation.

yes green LED it is,
i hope you had the flashing process ready at the PC right ?
First make sure your phone is shut down. long press power+vol up until you feel 3 vibrations.
From there you can try fastboot mode or flash mode.

Alright done all that, still is the same. I've started to play with other USB ports and I noticed that when I get connected it tries installing the SEMC Flash device driver. It fails with "device unplugged" message exactly at the same time when when the Sony logo appears. Then it tries installing MTU USB Device as well. Reinstalled flashtool drivers and tried in different ports. It seems as if the phone is not staying in flashmode?

I recall I had that issue with wundows 7 at the beginning, what I did then was to boot my windows xp and managed to flash from there.
I have tried many things since, and if I am not mistaken it's installing flahtool drivers that fixed it finally.
I think there are 3 drivers there you need to install.

did you tried to flash the rom over ICS, if yes then thats why your p got stuck at boot, coz i too got the same prob, when i tried to flash the JB moonbreaker over ICS, so what i did was pressed the power button and volume up button till 3 vibration, start flashtool and flash stock ICS firmware, but don't uncheck wipe data, otherwise you will get bootloop, after flashing is complete, now download and flash stock JB firmware, root your phone using doomlord's easy root kit or any other way you know, install cwm and now reboot into cwm flash JB stock or custom kernel and then the rom, thats it, just let me know if the prob is solved, thanks

Stuck on boot
Guys I have the same problem.
I wasn't satisfied with the rom I put on my phone so I went on to put another one on it.
Flashed the kernel with fastboot, went into cwm, deleted system, cache etc. and went on to flash the rom, but there was no rom zip there, and I was sure I had put it. It was probably an error during the copy procces and it just stopped, I assumed it copied.
Well, now it is just stuck on the boot screen. I can get into fastboot and cwm, but I have nothing to flash.
I tried using the Sony recovery "Emma" but it just stays blank when I connect the phone..
Is there something else I can do?

Hi
I think im facing a very similar issue, i m very new to this and therefore didnt understand the solution. I did visit the developer site for emma, but can you tell me the exact thing to do after starting Emma. I mean, when do i connect the phone and how, what commands to give. Below is explanation of how i got into this and what all ive tried.
OK i ve been trying to flash a new custom rom on my Xperia P, i looked at a number of guidelines and doing things step by step.
Since im very new to this i downloaded a few Roms. I was following the guide "http://droidors.com/2014/07/08/update-xperia-p-lt22i-to-android-4-4-4-kitkat-with-slimkat-custom-rom/2/" and everything was going fine. I reached the step to "fastboot flash boot boot.img", i did that and then went on the next step to boot in CWM Recovery and install the zip rom and the Gapps. During the Zip Rom install i got status 7 error.
Now, i noticed that i might have flashed the wrong Rom so rechecked the guide and installed the correct Rom which is mentioned in "http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/p-development/rom-slimkat-4-4-2-release-candidate-t2657795" . But now THE PROBLEM IS, AFTER I FLASHED THE INCORRECT IMG, MY PC IS NOT RECOGNISING THE XPERIA P SAYING IT DOESNOT RECOGNISE THE DRIVERS, therefore im not able to copy the ROM Zip on the SDcard, to then run it from CWM.
After sometime i tried the below
Ok, now i tried to flash the stock Rom through this link "http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/p-development/ftf-firmware-xperia-p-generic-world-t2322163", through flashtool to bring my phone back to life. I installed the drivers as per instructions from drivers folder, but for some reason the pc is just not accepting. I did install through this exact method yesterday night and it worked perfectly.
Please suggest. I hope im asking at the right place.
Urgent help please
I forgot to mention, after I flashed the SlimKat Rom, and things went out of hand ( till this point i could see Slimkat logo at boot and could also go in CWM Recovery ), I tried to restore through Nandroid Backup i had done. As soon i selected the restore option and then the backup file, within 2-3 seconds the phone went off, and then on boot all i can do is see "SONY" on screen. Nothing else happens.
I ve tried all this on a different machine, with different wires and different USB port, no luck
Kindly advise, im stuck with no spare phone.
Solved i guess
OK Brother,
I downloaded EMMA and am currently downloading the service. It is very self explanatory. What was amazing is when i recognised my phone "What a sight "
Flashtools wasnt able to do that, so i guess the manufacture tools are damn important ( i wasnt exactly of the opinion before )
Also it is downloading Android 4.0.4 Build 6.1.1.b.1.54, which first came on the device, which also makes me think may be i should have tried that rather than trying to flash with the JB Rom all this while.
Man, i was scared. Thanks for this thread Bro.
God Bless
Will inform once the phone is booted up to confirm it worked.
Emma Worked
OK guys, I can confirm its EMMA "Flash tool for Xperia" fixed the problem for me. It installed 4.0.4 on it.
Also there is a pdf in the Download which guides about the usage.
Sigh
Correction- it installed the latest stock ROM jb
So I rooted my Xperia Neo V which was running on ICS by following the complete noob's guide here. After doing that, I wanted to install a custom rom (Jellybean) and kernel, however, I screwed up at this part. I only flashed the boot file of the rom without the kernel and after I was through with it, unplugged the data cable from my PC and started the phone. Now it boots up but all I can see is a black/bluish screen and a purple LED indicator at the start for a few secs. Can't even see any logo. It still goes into the flashboot mode when i connect it to the PC but I can't see anything on the screen, only the blue LED indicator. Has it been bricked or is there a way to revert to previous settings? I have the backup in my PC.
Blue led indicates it's in the fastboot mode - you can flash your kernel form there, then install ROM

You have the rom in your phone just fastboot flash the kernel using cmd as your phone is showing blue led that means you can flash kernel once you flash it, your phone will boot up normally.
The kernel you should use is that present in the zip file.
